I know you dislike him but he is a fun character to play. I play the single player version of the game more and o main woodie there but in dst i main walter. His perks basically invite noobs like me (im far better at single player dont starve) to play him, and of you are good than he has strategies that he is needed for, his slingshot is probably the best part about him because being a noob i want to stay away from enemies. Hes made to be easy. He is anti wes. He is very fun to play.
Keep in mind that the game is very old, and the map is actually pretty big, along with the fact that the world has to work harder while loading to meet the world settings you set for it.
A buff, huh? Well... The time has come. Now Winona can carry a portable inventory-sized boss destroying device. Though its a bug with the pure brilliance and crown shards, It'll still be funny. Winona will still be able to destroy every single boss, just at a slightly slower pace.

I think the people who start with webber like him because he looks cool and has a unique design compared to the other base characters. He gives of serous "WTF is this guys deal" vibes
I know I'm a bit late to the fights but as my experience was before the coming changes to crab king (something about an island now) but a bit after people realized the flinger is a good alternative to ice staff.. I actually felt the opposite with this. Fuelweaver took 100% of my focus while crab was just holding attack for most of it The flinger isn't a perfect solution since it seems to just prolong the healing window (crab just tries again and doesn't lose that attempt), and you can't really reposition if you're relying on dwarf star (lol pirate crashing into you and knocking you out of position 3 feet from moon quay is a fun way to lose the fight) but considering how much of a death sentence freeze and geyser casting is, it's nice to not worry about either of them even slightly. Fuelweaver feels worse because it feels like a fight against the way the hotbar works more than a fight against the mechanics themselves. It's hard to not feel frustrated to work around how much he spams the bone cage, while your items slowly shuffle into a complete sabotage and you have to pause (which feels cheesy too) to fix them. The drag-and-drop method of keeping things in their place is hard to learn comfortably, since it's counterintuitive clicky gameplay coming from classic MMOs If the consensus is that fuelweaver is vastly more rewarding, though, it's hard to complain. But I get it

Wagstaff is that kind of person who would achieve his purpose in any means. What he is pursuing is dangerous but he has the ability to deal with it. For those who don't, however, he doesn't mind involving them in the case, as long as it fits his interest (unlike Wanda, who is also investigating a mysterious power but all alone). Because ethics don't contain a person like him. Hazard to others never concerns Wagstaff. All the time, Wagstaff is using ignorant survivors to conduct his crazy experiments, taking advantages of them, and meanwhile he brings them closer and closer to the danger they don't know.
They should've made it so that Crab King appears to contest you for sunken treasure like in the trailer, like he's adding loot to his castle on his back, rather than just sitting in the middle of nowhere.

Great video! Small correction at 9:20 you are showing that you need a statue wall to defend against hound attacks, but hounds don't spawn when you're on a boat. Also, with the boat method as you are showing it, it might be possible to die to a grass gator making a wave and pushing the boat out of the range of the tree, this can be solved by planting your own above average tree in shallow ocean. (I recommend the space between Lunar Island and the mainland) Also, make sure that you are building this setup far away from Moon Quay for obvious reasons.
Him having an actual story in the game is interesting. I feel like they will give him a third part eventually. Hopefully, we can cure him to get more pig buildings. Like hamlet. He could even be Wilba's father.
It's worth mentioning that console can't zoom out, and mods should never be an argument on what to add or not add to the game. It's still a shame that the werepig's drops are doodoo garbage.
The scrappy werepig has loads of attacks and can be very unpredictable and a very challenging fight depending on your current progress. Sure you can just sit behind the junk wall and play it safe but you won't get many hits in as you need to cover more distance to get to him but play it risky and dodge the attacks perfectly and you can counterattack with a flurry of blows. Awesome design. You complain that you have to MOVE during a bossfight?? Do you want every fight to be a treeguard where you hit a few times dodge repeat? Unreal. Another trash take from a dst youtuber with bad opinions and good production quality videos. Also assuming everyone plays with mods or can even access mods as a reason to say his drop is underwhelming, is in poor taste. The item is unique. If you want to use mods then more power to you. Just deconstruct it for more scrap. I keep having to edit my comment with new things that piss me off about this video. Imagine thinking that spawning the final boss for it's reward is tedious... DUDE, the rewards are the best in the game and the fight is easily restartable after all the prerequisites are met. They even made the moonstorm event easier and only require 1 static from wagstaff to build the siphonator. The game at its core is about resource management and efficiency. Why the hell are you even playing if you don't find it fun to do the set challenges in the game? Maybe play the game instead of spawning things in with commands for video footage? Both you and beard nonstop complain and ironically you're the ones who have the least real gameplay. Get a grip
