My porch door wouldn't lock, and I assumed it was because of the heat today, but I gave the inner inner hex nuts about a turn each and bingo. Thank you and great video!
@@MunDadwhy didn’t this work for me? 😢which one of the two should I be turning. I’ve spent all afternoon trying to fix and it is almost midnight. Please help
@desireedjanie oh dear, try and adjust the inner hex nuts but only very slightly, by just a turn. If you're struggling, might be a good idea to get a person to help you. If it's loads out of adjustment, the door might need to be heel and toed, which an expert needs to do.
@@desireedjanie Best thing to do. Is look at the bolts on the door when you go to close it. You'll see if they're too high or too low. Then adjust the inner bolt by a ¼ turn each time (should be CCW° for down, CW° for up). Do each bolt in turn starting from top to bottom. If still unsure, mark the inner frame with a pen line at the current level of the bolt, that way you can see if the door is raising or lowering with each attempt. Good luck and I hope you sort it out.🤞🏻
Had to come back to say thanks , tried fixing this door a couple of years ago, came back with sheer determination, spent an hour playing with those adjustments like you did, sat down- the door still smirking at me then I came to you tube this was the first help video I found and it worked so well I can lock the door with my little finger-smooth as silk. Cheers 🥂 .
Hmmmmmmmmm, thanks. It only took me and 5 other people at the end the bbq to finally realise the unseen button to release is ACTUALLY THE GAS ON AND OFF BLACK SWITCH. thankfully another guest watched another vid after a frustrating 9:40 minutes we did it easy. Hope this helps anyone else that’s as dumb as our bunch . Funny thing is there’s quite a few college graduates amongst us .
What car holder are you using? Mine are too wobbly on my fiat dash and it’s same as yours. So jelous of the cream by the way. Mines black where yours is crème 😢
@@MunDadI might buy a cream wheel you know. Can’t do ewt where the ac is though or speedometer cover that’s the only thing. Really love cream. You’d like my black and white interior. What’s going on with your electric? Mine had a moment of their own today.
@rachelsteel Yes a cream wheel looks nice 👌 I think the electrics is a throttle position sensor and wiring loom issue, it keeps going into limp home mode, might be a vid on this soon if we can fix it, thanks for comments 👍
Ha ha, it's definitely a bit fiddly and you're not on your own, a lot struggle with it. It's similar to how old petrol caps used to fit so I'm used to it. Thanks for commenting and glad my video helped 👍
I thought I’d got the knack of it just to end up doing it wrong again 😂 sometimes I get it and sometimes I don’t. Deffo needs looking into that. Thanks for your help! X
I have no gas coming out of the cylinder but if I take the regulator off and poke the valve with a screwdriver then propane comes out. Is that normal when the tank is nearly empty?
Hi, sounds like it's empty, I would be careful though at poking the valve because there still could be some residual gas in it. Best thing would be to contact the supplier. You can buy gas cylinder stick on gauges to see how full/empty the tank is from amazon I think.
Yes it is a bit fiddly. Make sure it's unlocked before putting back in. It's easy when you've got the knack, that's presuming it's not broken. So, firstly ensure the cap is unlocked, place it in, turn it (until it clicks) and then lock it. This should work. Thanks for commenting 👍
Hi there. Great video, thanks so much. Can I just ask where the orange pipe connects to on the other end. I am so confused as to where on my bbq the orange pipe would hook into, before connecting the side into the gas tank. Thanks so much
Hi the pipe to the bbq should already be connected. You shouldn't have to attach the gas pipe to the bbq unless it's new and you need to assemble it, if so follow the instructions. Obviously, only connect a gas bottle to a gas bbq, if its not a gas bbq you shouldn't be trying to connect a gas bottle to it, that could be a tad dangerous and definitely not recommended 😬✋️🛑
When I lift the handle of my door the sliding "bolts" at the edge of the door dont move, nor will the lock engage. Please assist me on where I should look for assistance. (I have looked but dont find the answer. Maybe old age is dulling my perception). Thanking in advance.
Hi, it sounds like the mechanism could be broken. Check to make sure that there's nothing blocking the bolts from moving and that you've given it a good spray with either wd40 or silicone spray. If this doesn't help and they still aren't moving it sounds like the lock itself has given up. Hope you manage to resolve it 👍
Great explanation but I'd would like to add, if you don't have a button under the gas release "handle" the handle itself is your button. Just push it in and it will release. I work in a camping shop and it seems 80% if products bought online come with a cheap regulator that doesn't indicate this clearly. And when searching online, 98% of results will tell you about a release button that you might not have.
Hi make sure the gas tap is off and is the regulator in the right position, should be facing the open part of the neck of the bottle. Are you pressing the button to release it?
@MunDad Yes it's on right position. Pressing botton to release it but the botton seems to be gammed. Is it because the pressure inside the gas tap? Can I use a force like a stick with hammer?
