Hello, my name's Dave, and I'm a musician from London, UK. I started Dave Conservatoire in 2011 to help people to learn music, no matter what their circumstances.
Inspired by non-profit educational sites like Khan Academy who teach millions of people for free, I wanted to see if I could do the same for people who wanted to learn, not just how to play music, but more importantly how music works.
Music, to me, is the most wonderful and interesting thing in the world, it brings us together and teaches us about ourselves and the world around us. Music helps to heal and helps people to grow in confidence and express their ideas. Everyone should have the opportunity to learn about music and explore this wonderful world. Whether you are lucky enough to have a music teacher or are learning by yourself, I'm here to help you on your journey!
Hello, Dave! This was GREAT tutorial series, loved the rings jokes, and charismatic presentation! Great teacher! Greetings from Colombia, one of my future compositions (and pretty sure i'll talk about this tutorial with the people interested in sonic.pi) will be dedicated to you, friend!
For some reason i thought relatives werent in the scale and were something you had to actually break rules to do, guess ive been using them this entire time lol
Not super-important, but in such descriptions of Form, I often find it useful to use Greek letter names for the sections or melodies. That, to prevent confusion with keys. “Now we enter the A section in C”: Do you mean the A-Major passage within the C part of the form, or the A part of the Form in the key of C-Major…?! 😂
Is the following not possible? use_random_seed rrand_i(0,300) if it is not possible is there a work around? like using a loop within a loop and some how getting a random number generated for the seed value?
