This channel mostly consists of easy crochet tutorials. I am a big fan of using the entire skein of yarn, so I also create scrap yarn tutorials as well as "skein challenges," where I create a themed set of projects that use an entire skein (or multiple skeins) of yarn. My channel is great if you are looking for non-conventional crochet methods (usually seamless), that are quick and easy to complete!
i just finished up the bag and this was by far the easiest, most comprehensive tutorial i've ever followed along with! it came out looking so cute and i can't wait to make more!
@@CrochetWithJulie I am done working the bottom and I have been working on the sides that entail the triple cross pattern and I have made baskets in the past, but it doesn’t seem to be curbing up. I have not added any stitches. What have I done wrong?
Thanks for that advice. I would have NEVER thought of that. I have primed both elements but one does not seem to let the water out. I primed it several times to no avail. Any advice?
Hum. I have never had that issue. I wonder if the tip could be clogged? If it is priming, that seems like the only other thing that could cause the issue?
@@CrochetWithJulie awesome thanks I am hoping to scale it down to an ornament? with a thread? do you think this is a possibility? along with the holders? I have a friend who is a candy cane fanatic. I hope she likes this.
I do like this pattern but I feel like you should teach people how to decrease properly. Skipping the stitch makes it look gappy. With other projects, newbies are going to think that this is how you decrease when it’s not and it’ll ruin their projects.
Decreasing correctly with DC st creates two posts, so it would make the handle uneven and look strange (I did this first when I was doing pattern work). The bag is meant to have gaps in the stitches, so decreasing with skipped stitches isn’t an issue, and I have loads of videos where I use decreasing stitches, as the majority of my patterns don’t use skipped stitches, unless it is intentional for the look of the pattern. If this was “How to crochet for beginners,” I would agree with you, but this is a pattern tutorial and skipping the stitches is necessary to make the bag look good, which is my ultimate goal. If you haven’t seen my other tutorials, you might not know, but I break a lot of traditional crochet rules to make different or fun crochet projects. I appreciate you commenting and I appreciate your advice.
The pattern is 1 double and 2 singles. increases in each row 1 simple. Row number 10 is 1 double and 8 singles. If you want it larger, you must continue increasing 1 single in each row until it is the desired size and continue in the video with row number 10, which are all singles.
