I left Tumblr because of posts like these. I think what makes me the most angry about these self-entitled people on Tumblr is when they talk about "abuse". I know people who have been abused both physically and emotionally, and what's described here is not abuse. Your parents disagreeing with your mental delusion is not abuse, and then restricting your access to the Internet because it's clearly becoming an addiction is not abuse. Your brother playing a video game with skimpily-dressed women in it is not abusing women, especially when women constantly say that being half naked is empowering and constantly shame more conservative women for NOT dressing that way. Imagine saying that someone disagreeing with you is a form of abuse. Imagine badmouthing your own parents who love you all because they refuse to acknowledge you as a houseplant. That in itself is narcissistic and manipulative, but I guess if you win the oppression olympics then anything's fair game. In short, Tumblr can rot in hell.
I recently deleted my Tumblr because of awful posts like these. I only joined to see fan art and fanfics of things that I liked, but I just couldn't avoid seeing toxic and flat out untrue posts like this. Almost every post on Tumblr is dripping with that vapid, self-absorbed victimhood mentality where everyone attacks each other and brags about how oppressed they are. No wonder mental health issues are on the rise.
