To the idiot who says learning another language is cultural appropriation: stop. Learning languages helps you with communication skills, makes you more employable and can even reduce the risk of dementia. There is absolutely nothing wrong with making an effort to communicate with people who don't speak your native language, because there are a lot of people in the world who don't speak or understand English or whatever language you speak.
