I would have paid you extra for doing it fast!!! Respect. The work that you and your men do is so difficult. Yet, this man would probably think nothing of paying hundreds of dollars to hear a doctor or lawyer talk to him for 5 min 🙄.
Just like a Trumper. No foundation, just build a giant building and then complain about condensation. Plastic sheets are put under the concrete foundation to prevent moisture in the building.
Plastic my Ass , I had concrete poured with the plastic underneath and it still condensated ! So much for you Biden loving useless pos ! You had to bring politics into this ( which has nothing to do with it ) didn't you you worthless KAREN !
@@GPackard Your video clearly shows that the building has dirt floor. Many people noticed that. Your cult leader would be proud of how you have such a weak connection to the truth. Why would a person put in a proper concrete foundation and then cover it with dirt?
This was a different building you useless dumbass ! Show's how f## stupid you really are you liberal Karen. Why don't you just stick with what you know like f###ing up the country , driving us towards war, give every freeloading ILLEGAL immigrant free healthcare, free money, free housing, free food , let men compete in women's sports, raise gas prices through the roof, raise groceries through the roof, make affordable housing impossible, open up the border, let criminals back out on the streets, protect the SICK transvestites , force the vaccine on everyone and that's just off the top of my head you sick F#### !
I have been fitting flooring ie carpets vinyl laminate real wood safety flooring you name it and i can put it down on the floor and i put it dow properly i would rather walk away from a job if the customer is trying to cut corners because when you cut corners its always the finished look that it wrong i have even told customers that they have purchased the wrong glue some times or the wrong flooring like pergo flooring for there wet room that will blow out within 1 week... As i said i have been futting flooring from the age of 15 i am now 49 years old and my knee are now bad but its all part and parcel of floor laying and this mite surprises some people but when you have qualified from your apprenticeship you do get faster at your job and the longer you do your job the faster you become because you're doing that job dnd day out for years some people don't like the fact that you can complete a job within a couple of hours where they think it should take you all day and when you are good at your job you take on more people to train up as apprentices and give them full-time jobs after they have finished their apprenticeship and start a team so going back to this man story it's not his fault that he knows what he's doing and works efficiently and quickly because she's been doing that job for years he could have spent all day there but you probably doesn't like tea or coffee or will not that much to your coffee but yes me I can sympathise with you I had one person once I went to fit a flooring when I arrived in the house there was rubbish all over the floor sore I politely ask the customer where I was fitting the vinyl the customer income said in the kitchen I replied the kitchen needs tidied do you want me to come back the customer income said to me for the price of charging of £40 you should pack up all the rubbish and remove the Old floor covering before you start I tried to explain to the customer I had a charge for uplifting old flooring and cleaning furniture from rooms but not rubbish the customer said I am not interested just yet my effing job done boy so I got the black bags for the rubbish and I new there was going to be a problem getting paid so I said to the man of the house if I sm picking up all this rubbish like egg shells tea bags and other nasty things I would need paid b4 I started the customer said I don't work that way I said to the customer I don't pick up rubbish so anyway he paid me the £40 I spent 2 hours and 30 minutes cleaning his kitchen for him I even washed the worktops down now this job was only 9feet by 9 feet and should have taken me 30 to 40 min but I had to clean up this mess so after that I put my tools in the van an politely said to the customer that's me finished thank you very much for your orders and I'll see you again as I was walking down to the van I heard the man shouting you have not fitted the vinyl to watch I replied yes you're correct the next time the bin man comes ask him to fit it he then shouted I'm going to phone your boss I replied good do you know my wife
One time happened to me. Paid me with a check , they didn’t put a date. Yeah big mess. But the customer knew what they were doing. And it bought them time to get the funds. But it was due upon completion not whenever you feel. Nice work handling that customer!
Had George not checked up on this place he definitely would have lost the account. the "manager" probably had hobby out of work i.e. beer drinking. Didn't focus on his work, what puts food on his table like he said.
I had a weely cleaning job for a family as a teen. Dust, vacuume, bathrooms, floors. Took me an hour and a half. They had a little talk w me, concerned it was under 2 hours. Going forward, I laid around in their basement for 20 min, to stretch the time. Dumb.
Depends on how hard you work the partnership. If your seriously interested you can give me a call at our office and I'll be glad to explain in more detail. 715-350-1741
I just caught your video, and it's nice to see some pushback on, as you said it, asshole customers. I've been in retail for close to 50 years. This happens in all of areas of business that deal with the public. They will try everything to screw businesses over and seem to think that their owed something more than good service and courtesy. The problem is that companies accept this behavior because they claim, "we can't afford to lose any customers." The customers that return expired food, because that overbought, rotten food that they left in their trunk, and so on. I always say that those are the kind of customers that we can afford to lose.
My wife and I purchased an American Steel barn for our property 500 miles away. On the week of arranged delivery and construction we received a phone call as we we driving out. They informed us they would not be able to deliver our building because there were no other deliveries in the area. This was never explained to us in the multiple meetings we had had with them previously. We were both highly confused because we knew that it was physically impossible to put more than one building on the delivery trailer. As I was driving it fell to my wife to talk with them. I was thinking "God help that person on the other end of the phone" as my wife negotiated million dollar contracts in her profession. I could sense that poor person shrinking minute by minute as my wife was chewing them a new one. Needless to say they found a way to deliver our structure. I had to flag down the crew on the highway as it is a bit difficult to find our remote property. The crew was nice, but sadly misinformed about just how early it gets dark in the mountains, they thought they would be finished in just one day. They were not prepared to do an overnight, so I arranged a motel in the local village that would sleep 3. I told them where to get a good meal close by. They were very thankful the next day and worked doubly hard to get it completed. If I were to do it over again I would choose another company, but such is life. Despite vigorous research a company can still fall short of the mark.
I use to help my dad build the under ground tubes for MCI back in the late 80's and when he was done for the day, they would issue the check and then when we left to go deposit it in the bank, they(MCI) would stop the check. so I had my gf at the time take me to the bank, cash the check, and then come back to the job site and give the money to my Dad, a welding and fabricating shop.
'Normal'people are happy when you finish early! I always say its going to take longer than i think it will, just for that fact! Because heaven forbid you say 3 days, and it takes 4.
Great video, thanks! It has been 10 years now. I'm curious how these steps have held up? Are there any improvements you'd recommend? Do the limestone screenings allow for drainage? What are the dimensions of the boards you used for the steps themselves? I'm in the planning stages of building steps down to a creek.
People think just because it would take them 4 hours to do a job. But it only took you to do it 1-1/2 hours to do it. They think you should be paid less than THEY AGREED TO
My sister and her husband hired a landscaper for.there new house. They did 26 thousand dollars in 6 hours. It was beautiful. I'm electrician, she told me I was in the wrong kind of work. I said Nope. Electricians are lazy. Landscapers bust there ass.
The condensation isn't surprising to me but the fact that they never mentioned it would have condensation issues without proper insulation is surprising. Seems like a missed opportunity to up-sell customers on their end. The company I got a quote from included VRR insulation in the bid but I'm considering spray foam insulation in mine.
Thanks for the heads up. I am a consumer and I won’t use them now. I look in the app Nextdoor for people’s comments on local repair and other services. I find it helpful.
This is a great idea, because a lot of people are going to spend $100-$200 on new tires anyway, so why not try this before purchasing new ones. I've done this a lot on tires over the years.
