My sim rig uses a single 49” G9 monitor plugged into the display port on my GPU. My desktop monitor is a 34” UW that uses hdmi. Would I use the same adapter? Should I just plug the desktop monitor directly into an hdmi port on my GPU?
Thank you for the content! I'm currently trying to decide what OLED triples to buy, it's a year later and the AORUS monitors you got are sold out everywhere since they're discontinued. I was wondering if you had any insight on 48" LG OLED TV's (not the ultragear monitor). I'm planning on buying the 5090 when it comes out later this year so performance won't be an issue. I'm just worried about GSYNC compatibility over HDMI 2.1 rather than DP. Maybe you could weigh in on that a little since the Ultragears are 3x the price of the same panel when you buy it in TV form. Do you find that it's worth the price difference to have DP compatibility over the TV's? Cheers man and don't let the reddit shitposters get you down haha that sub is an atrocity anyways.
Awesome .. I have a question : do you activate nvidia surround , on the triple screen setup? Cauz unless I disable surround before I switch to the desktop monitor , my main monitor has a terrible resolution . Do u have the same issue ? Thanks
I have the R9 5950X with the RX 7800 XT. I mostly play AC in VR. Is it worth switching to the R7 5800x3D? I am grateful for every fps I can get to get the smoothest experience in hotlaps and races.
I thank you for this review... MZW has some nice add-ons for the ClubSport Universal Hub too. So that new Fanatec GT3 rim that they only made 100 of and requires the Podium Module Endurance isn't quite so unique. I keep thinking about getting the SIMPUSH wheel off of eBay, but I think this with the upgraded paddles for the Advanced Paddle Module on the universal hub might be the way to go for me. (I don't have a Podium Module Endurance.)
So, do those have LG panels, and why not go LG? I have the same 48-inch old from LG with the same specs, but with clocking, it can go 138hz. LG are cheaper. But I also respect Aorus as I have their 4090 which is so good.
What is your steering wheel rotation set to because mine feels supper weird on 900 but feels but on 2000 the max but it still doesn’t feel as smooth as a normal Logitech would. I’m on the series x as well don’t know if anyone else has this set up or runs into this issue
Hi, this video did leave me with more questions but it did make me think that what I need to do is possible, but I could really use your help. The set up that I need is not quite as complicated as yours is. I have a triple monitor set up for my racing Sim and they are 3x 32” 1800R curved 1440p monitors and I want to run a separate 800R or 1000R curved 1440 P monitor for a bed desk that is in the next room but still very close. I haven’t purchased the fourth monitor yet, but I’m looking at an ultra wide. I have an Asus Strix 3080. So technically I have all the ports. I need to run all four monitors but I’ve tried and it just gets too confusing.. I’d like to do something where I can run either. The triple monitor set it up OR the desktop…. But I simply want to switch from one set up to the other never using all four monitors at the same time, so it would be either the single monitor or the triple monitor…. I’m guessing it would still be best to use a switch…. so that windows is not trying to run all four monitors at once.? I would like to be able to game on both set ups, obviously driving and flight Sim games on the triple monitor and pretty much everything else on the single monitor if that makes sense. can you please help me figure out what I need to purchase to make this work Mr. Veloce?
A program called display magician should be enough for what you want to accomplish. It’s free and you just set screen profiles for what you want to use at a certain time.
Your screen setup was the inspiration for mine, thnx for sharing all the information i needed. Just started a simracing content channel, hope to get the quality of content you make one day. Looking forward to see your vid's again.
Those look great. When I had a sim rig I used a fence board, cut in 3, used 2 door hinges and attached with brackets, then set the 24 in monitors on top of two floor standing speakers with hockey tape underneath for grip. Worked quite well. F10 Klipsch speakers for sizing comparison.
YOU CANT USE ANY SOAP OTHERWISE THE FAT FROM THE SOAP WILL REMAIN IN THE PAD USE A COARSED SPONGE AND ONLY USE WATER AND SCRUBBING, YES ITS MORE WORK BUT IT WONT HAVE A DISGUSTING PERMANENT SOAPY FEELING IN THE TEXTURE
My CSL DD is set to 1080, and my setting in game are also set to 1080 and yet my wheel won’t even do a full turn before hitting the soft lock. What do I do?
Question….you have all this equipment setup in a room, what do you have for a breaker in your panel? Is it a 15amp or 20amp breaker bc ever since I setup my sim system and triple monitors I keep tripping my breaker…very frustrating
I know you mentioned that you don't use nVidia Surround because one of the rig monitors is using HDMI..... If I have 3 montiors on my rig(all Displayport) and the 2 monitors for my PC has 1 with hdmi and 1 with displayport can I use surround just for the rig? And when I hit the button to change from the rig to the PC monitors will it transition perfectly without surround? I stopped using surround when I only had 3 monitors because it was always a pain in the ass to get out of surround and have all of my monitors turn back on.
Thank you so much for this video man. This is exactly what I was looking for as I didn't want to get another PC just for the new sim rig. I ended up getting the 16K version since it works with Displayport 2.1. At first after pushing the button the montiors were not switching correctly but I didn't pay attention to the part of the video where you describe what to do in disabling the certain monitors when you need to. Again man thank you so much!!!!! You're a LEGEND!!!!
Hello, please I need your help with my triple screen. I have an Nvidia Rtx 3080Ti graphics card so 1 HDMI and 3 displayports. I am above all a gamer so I plan to put HDMI on my 65 inch TV for my action adventure games. Then my 3 displayports on my triple screen for SimRacing. My question is if I can have a two main screen (my 65 screen for my action adventure games and the middle screen of my triple screen as a second main screen) I took a long time in order to explain it better, please help me if there is a solution for me. Sincerely
Hi from the UK! Finally building my rig with triple 48" OLEDs. I only had the confidence to do this thanks to your other vid explaining sizes. We don't have Tony Kanaan gear in the UK, but Race Anywhere sell a similar oversized center-bar that allows 48". I'm doing freestanding, and that was hard work - it made me realise what an insane accomplishment you did by attaching them to a motion rig. You are an innovator sir! Hope to see you back online soon.
Are you still using this wheel? What do you think of the button placement? Seems like you need to take your hand off to reach the buttons and encoders.
@AeroVeloce I'm still debating one of these custom podium build or the mclaren gt3. The gt3 has great ergonomics and button placement but those cheap materials make it seem like a toy.
Great video mate thanks it was very helpful. Do you happen to know the amount of room space this monitor setup needs? I am viewing a house in a couple days & want to know whether I could fit it when I go.
Thanks for the video and helpful information. What is the 32 in equivalent to the Aorus Fo48u you would recommend? Also are there any other Oleds that are comparable? Thanks
Pickup up a floor model of this seat at Summit Racing outlet for $450. Loving it so far! And I had the same thought about switching this into a future track car to justify the price.
