Metallica had been around three years before i had even heard of them, until I went into a music store in 1986,to brouse the metal and import vinyl section, back in thd good ol days, you young people missed out on a good thing there, but anyway, the thing that should not be was playing on the stereo,so i walked up to the counter to see what band it was,and thought..Metallica? Never heard of them, but i got Master Of Puppets on cassette and drove around listening to it,and liked it alot, then i got Killem Alll and Ride The Lightning only other albums they had at the time, then about two weeks later it was on the news that the band were in a bus accident and one member was killed, but at the time i wasn't sure which member then learned later it was the bassist Cliff Burton, and having just been turned on to Metallica i didnt know alot about him, until getting the Cliffem All video when it came out in 87,i got it on VHS and still have it.
Yeah, and then Metallica released Until It Sleeps... I could forgive them for The Unforgiven and Nothing Else Matters but Until It Sleeps is pure fucking ThRASH.
Cliff burtons last words here is kinda crazy cause as soon as he passed away Metallica became more than just 4 regular guys they started to become more about the business rather than the music. The whole thing they were against in the early 80s were the same thing they would soon become in the 90s. My guess if things happened the same as they did but with cliff still here he probably would have left the band. It’s possible they would have never did a black album and kept it raw. But as long as Lars was in charge most likely this was always the direction Metallica was heading. Always wondered what they would be if cliff was still in the band as well as Dave. Would they just have been the ultimate metal band a mix between early Metallica and megadeth. Or would they still be who they are today all about the money and touring and not much about the music anymore

What’s the name of the documentary/show this clip came from? Just scrolled through over 300 ‘comments’ before I gave up. Let me save you all some time; Metal, Thrash, Glam, blah blah blah I was there, I saw that, it was great I like this, I hate that, one thing is better than another You’re welcome
I think the Driver fell asleep and should have been CHARGED.....there was NO BLACK ICE on the road...thank you sir for uploading this tragic radio broadcast.....RIP CLIFF 37 YEARS ....SEPTEMBER 27 2023.....RIP my friend.....!
Kill all the fake people all the posers. Proceeds to play Hit the Lights... The most glam sounding song Metallica ever wrote. Seriously, that thing could be a Motley Crue song.
Well let's face it. He lied. He never got over it. There is an interview Dave gave on that day, exactly when Metallica start playing in the background. You can clearly see him crumbling when they start to play.
Will never understand why people are afraid of the real comparison: Dave Mustaine vs JAMES HETFIELD. They are the ones sharing the exact same position in their respective bands. It seems like even Dave Mustaine is afraid of that battle. When, clearly, Dave Mustaine wins with flawless victory. James Hetfield is like the Metal Princess. Everyone loves him, and not even Megadeth fanboys, or Dave, dare to criticize him. Though, James is one of the most basic, repetitive and predictable guitar players in Metal History. Similar refurbished riffs, using the same notes, same couple of scales, same song structures. Easy as fuck to play, both riffs and solos. Every guitar student can play the entire James catalogue within a few months after starting. Yet... poor Kirk Hammett who is what made Metallica great, aside with Cliff, but Cliff died before Justice, always gets hate from all sides. STUPID PEOPLE.
And 20 years after Dave said he "ended" the feud with Metallica, he's still feuding with them. Dave won't let it end, even though Metallica hasn't participated in Dave's feud at all over the past 40 years. 😂😂😂
