Had this on my computer for awhile now and a short 30min version for years... Huge thank you to whoever originally recorded this in 1986, and whoever uploaded it. I believe it was originally in circulation on the underground for years? Before someone got a hold of the cassette.
The show was broadcast in 1986 and features live calls the members of Exodus, John Bush (Armored Saint/Anthrax who Metallica originally wanted to be the Frontman of Metallica), Lloyd Grant (Metallica's first lead guitarist), Scott Ian, + fans calling in and more.
The only parts cut out of this are songs played during the broadcast (mainly to avoid WMG removing), any sudden stops in the audio are because of that/to keep the video under 10mins for youtube. This is everything that was recorded that day, the show (with songs) was about 3 hours long.

This was the best metal radio show, ever..93.5 Midnite Metal, from New York WRTN...Every Thursday night 1-5 am. Literally the best show ever.

I think the Driver fell asleep and should have been CHARGED.....there was NO BLACK ICE on the road...thank you sir for uploading this tragic radio broadcast.....RIP CLIFF 37 YEARS ....SEPTEMBER 27 2023.....RIP my friend.....!

The thumbnail with cliff Burton that autograph is fake!! Lloyd wasn't the original bassist.. James said he did guitar solos on the no life demo but that was it...the bassist cliff took over from was Ron mcgovney....so cliff is the 2nd bassist metallica had...the driver was never charged and continued to drive bands around Europe..claims he slipped on some black ice....no fukin way I think he fell asleep and woke up too late..if I could demo the crash or reenact it. Ppl are not sure exactly as it happened, Also, they lifted the bus up to pull cliff out, they didn't get a chance, the bus fell back on the ground and landed on cliff a second time. So we can hope cliff was asleep and felt Nothing...Kirk should be thankful everyday he's alive..it would of been his bunk

wow this is intense! I remember being 12 when this happend and reading about thing in the daily news. fucked me up, i think i ditch school that day and listen to metallica all day
