Great video but I’m still torn between a G19 or the cz 75 pcr. I’m not a skinny guy and I live in Deep South Texas where it’s always hot and humid. So I sweat. But to be honest I just might get both. I got a G23 Gen5 so I don’t know from this video both are great firearms lol. Have a good one
Hee, old video to comment on but fairly 'evergreen' I guess. Just as a matter of fact I think a PCR is an excellent choice for us gals. I want. (Have a full sized one but it really is just that bit bigger than it needs to be so a compact frame of various kinds would do. (Not a competition shooter so practicality wins.) I do kinda wish they didn't feel it necessary to make em fat under the muzzle just to stick a light on. A significant part of the appeal of traditional CZs is you can have full function with non-chonkiness. I'd rather buy an oddball light mount for a slender favorite than have it be it like an inch or more wide there all the time just for the option. :)
CZ any day over Glock. I don't buy a pistol to Gucci it up or have to buy extra parts to make it safer or work the way I want it to work. I buy it to meet a need and CZ works fine for me right out of the box. Have no problem finding holsters for my CZs. CZ is usually less expensive than the Glock too. I have a Gen 5 Glock 19 with >1000 rounds through it and I still don't care for it. But that's why they make chocolate and vanilla.
I think the Glocks are totally fine out of the box, but since they're so EASY to modify, people buy all sorts of crap they dont need for them. Instead of just learning to shoot. Both great guns
A lot of people dont know you can more or less convert a standard SP-01 safety to a Shadow by simply removing the firing pin block plunger and spring, then replace the FPB lifter arm in the sear cage with either a pre-B wide sear or CGW shim bushing. I modded my SP-01 to the point it is better than a Shadow 2, it's basically a Czechmate at this point. If you're interested in getting peak performance from your SP-01 and don't mind shelling out a bit of cash, here's a list of what I changed in mine; ~Replaced barrel with Cajun Gun Works fluted and threaded barrel and installed a compensator on it ~Installed CGW Accubushing and hand-fit it to the new barrel ~Replaced mainspring and guide rod with DPM Systems 3-stage recoil buffer and installed a CZC frame buffer pad ~Drifted the rear sight out and installed a dovetail optic mount for a red dot (I went with a Shield RMS 4-moa dot) ~Replaced stock grips with CZC short grips and flared magwell ~Converted to SAO by removing disconnector and installing CGW Standard Package kit with SAO flat face trigger and race hammer ~As mentioned, I deleted the firing pin block for a much shorter reset ~Mirror polished every single mating surface in the gun for a Teflon-smooth action ~Installed Cross Armory pic rail mounted thumb rest (I didn't want to drill and tap the gun) with custom molded thermoplastic grip surface for maximum muzzle flip control ~Shimmed the sear cage to the frame to prevent any rearward creep when pulling the trigger, it makes the pull much more crisp by eliminating any spring in the trigger With all these mods this gun goes from already great to utterly phenomenal, the trigger has only .050" thousandths of total travel, with .002" thou of creep from the wall and a 1.8 pound pull weight (I also slightly cut and polished the hammer hooks on the race hammer and also polished the adjustable sear in the CGW trigger kit), and with the other mods like the thumb rest, DPM buffer, frame buffer and the compensator, the muzzle flip is almost non-existent. Everything combined makes this the fastest, flattest, most accurate handgun I've ever shot, I'm getting sub-.15 second splits between shots and can land 6 shots on a target at 20 yards in one second, it's stupid fast.
Ive been carrying concealed since 1978 so I have a little bit of experience. I wear jackets sweatshirts form fitting tee shirts and loose . No one pays attention 99.9% of the time . Good video otherwise except the language doesn't help your video.
First CZ was a pre-ban '90 CZ 75 bought in 1992 from my squad leader(Army Vet here) who was stationed in Germany before the Berlin Wall fell. 2nd gun is a used S&W Model 66 stainless 6 -shot 4-inch revolver wood grips ( my best revolver). CZ P10C new in 2021. Next was a CZ SP 01Tactical new in 2022 (600 rounds so far). Bought a CZ 75 BD in 2023 (250 rounds burned). Last a CZ P01 (250 rounds). My best handguns next to my EAAs/Tagfolios/Girsans. CZs are the bomb!! Looking for a CZ 40 (.40 cal). Bought an EAA .45 just as good as a CZ 97B (.45), same design and specs.
I got so lucky with mine. I saw it for like 2 months in this gun-hunting store. I was sure I was gonna miss out, but they kept saying I was the only one watching it. I was able to buy! Love my PCR
The roll pin is the "firing pin stop". The "firing pin block" is , as you stated only on the "B" models. The shadow utilizes a "firing pin retaining plate"much like a 1911.
Interested in the 75 BD for GTW tough. Talk to reliability and the coating for current new product Also, is it easy to change sights. Like Sig and the decocker system. Is the trigger similar in feel to the P226? Expect to carry either hip or Miam Vice shoulder style. Thanks.
Need alittle help please . I don't have a clue what holster to get . I thought a crossbreed reckoning appendix was it . Having hard time reholstering a SIG p365 I'm 6'3 255 lbs have a gut . Don't want to waste money don't have it to waste but I know if holster is not what I need I won't carry it thank you 😊
I agree with the post down below regarding the Glock 26. It's very versatile. I can make a 19 out of my 26 with a 19 mag and a proper base plate. Obsolete, I don't think so! Youth?
4 years later and I stand by and will die behind Tenicor LOL. Man these holsters are the best. I can EDC my g45 with a SUREFIRE X300!!! In sweatpants!!!!!!!!!!
Fast forward 4 years and prices are up 45% - 50%. By the time I install the CGW pro package and upgrade the grips I’ll be close to the current Shadow 2 price.
This video is 4 years old. I am co owners at a large gun range. I’ve yet to see brightly colored holsters made of Kydex as being “popular” as claimed in the video. It’s rare to see.
You probably wouldn't see it very much in your gun range unless you 1/allow people to draw from appendix position and 2/have serious shooters who take lots of classes. When I say it's popular, I mean in the serious category. Not popular with range tourists.
Durability the glock is hard to beat The trigger return spring and the firing pin retaining pin are the weak leak in the cz platform. I have both, i like the cz for the range but the glock for carry.
