I’m the same except I absolutely love sticky rice or sushi rice it’s so creamy and holds flavours really well. Plain long grain rice on the other hand, I’ll pass!
Looks really good, if you coat the chicken in cornflour beforehand it will make it crunchier or cornstarch mixed with water poured over any stir fry will make it nice too!
Coating the meat with cornstarch helps keep the meat moist and tender in stir fry. It won't make it crunchier unless you are deep frying. Baking soda could also be used to tenderized meat and gives it more color to red meat. Basically, both cornstarch and baking soda are used to tenderized meat, but most people prefer cornstarch cause they don't like the soapy taste of baking soda (if added too much).
20 deg Celsius is not cold at all 😂 I guess it's all relative cause you've been acclimatized to SEA hot and humid weather. Perfect weather for me would be between 15 and 21 Celsius.
I like my fish and chips with extra tartar sauce and I slice up thin half sour pickles and mix it into the tartar sauce. Cuts through the grease of the fish and chips nicely.
Would like to see more impressions of the GB countryside from various areas. Or maybe, can you recommend a website or a book where I can get inspiration for a GB tour, maybe with a camper, including some hiking and bicycle tours?
As a chronic lip biter who regularly destroys their lips, I really recommend lanolips!! It has lanolin in it and it really helps if you slather it on at night then throughout the day too. It’s the only thing I’ve found that helps, hope it helps you too if you try it!🤞🏼 P.S. really enjoying these vlogs, they’re reminding me to take more notice of the smaller things and not take them for granted💖
And should I return safe home again to England I shall watch the English mist roll through the dale.. welcome home Georgia , do come back to Asia , you are gonna be missed bigly
Hi Georgia, sorry to hear about your dry skin issue & sore lips … I had a similar thing during the 1st lockdown in UK (spring-summer). I think what caused it was the dry environment, I.e. being indoors quite a bit, a lack of humidity compared to Singapore/ Bali. Try natural lip balms like Burts Bees with honey! That worked for me. Also, screen time can affect your eyelids, especially if you’re reading (screen time) inside a lot. Try get some more sleep also, to give your eyes a rest, which should help your skin (eyelids). It could also be stress/ hormone related, so once you’ve settle back in the UK more, hopefully you’re flare up will go away too. ☺️ Hope those little tlc tips can help you xx
