Great explanation! Very clear and easy to follow along. Appreciate how you zoom in on what your clicking on or typing so handy if watching via a phone/small screen. By far the best guide for this program. Thanks! 🙏
As much as I can understand that "changing what you see onscreen from what the developers have decided you should see" will give an "unfair advantage" in a PvP combat situation, I think we need to point out that a lot of game developers have no effing idea on what "acceptable visuals" are meant to be. If you make a non-PVP game that makes me MORE blind than my already shitty eyesight for "immersion", I will do everything in my power to bring visibility back to a decent point. Making ANYONE "blind" in a game where "shooting at things" is the CORE of the stupid game just makes me want to play it less. Unless you are wearing a good VR headset, looking at a bright, large, stationary rectangle of pixels on you desk is no where near like a moving head with movable eyes, so STOP overdoing it with darkness/fog/etc ... just ... stop. I need to SEE things to shoot, let me SEE properly. If you want to add arbitrary extra difficulty, use something else OTHER THAN screwing with what I can see or not see.
I’m running into some problems. I want to change the triggers on an Xbox one controller into buttons (they are an axis for some reason) but for some reason it’s not working. I did everything correctly but the buttons aren’t working. What’s going on?
Well, they are all slated for modularity so it's all what combo you want. The Harbinger has the most armour so that one combined with the base survival pod would make for a pure survival ship.
Thank-you that was a nice summary of the options. I've been using a seat mounted Virpil HOSAS set-up with pedals for some years now. Yaw on the rudder pedals, since this reflects full size aircraft practice.
Gear as guns and armos shud never be drop when Die its pay get items so its inligal non world game Did IT its not legal if you got pay real cash items they cent be change nerf or drop nerf change on ships hige inligal this why cig Did got law.problems and 680 lost milions on refund they sell ships for real cash spnthry get own by players
The Vanguard line of ships I believe is among the best overall. Every single variant fulfills a niche in the currently present combat-focused gameplay loops. FPS? Bring a Hoplite. Bounties? Sentinel or Harbringer depending if you need your mark in one piece or many small ones. Want to just roam around, see what you find? Warden. Not a single choice is the bad one, there's just some weirdness regarding stat differences, one being inexplicably tankier and another is heavier despite seemingly carrying the least hardware. It may not be the best option if you're playing solo, but neither really is Star Citizen as a whole.
I have: Thrustmaster Warthog throttle and stick and 2x cougar mfd button boxes + Logitech X52 Pro and rudder pedals. Not that I have any ground vehicles yet but am considering working in my Logitech G29 steering wheel and pedals. Ive played for a total of two days thus far so am not even close to having the keybinds worked out yet but at least Ive got a shipload of options. Yaw on a stick drives me nuts. Thats where roll belongs.
Bought a Logitech Extreme 3d Pro Joystick at a thrift shop but its basically new, installed drivers, checked for errors, all good. Your tutorials have helped me program the joystick for: 1- streaming as macropad 2- aerogpx and racing games 3- navigating 3d environment when working on blender and CAD Thank You so MUUUch
I got a switch slider which pushes a button when it's locked in. Trying to figure out if I can disable the button pushing if the joystick axis is within a certain range.
As my first step from Keyboard and Mouse, I'm looking to go for HOSAM, but with a couple of twists: - I have a mouse that has a 4-way castle and can be rolled in addition to traditional 5-6 button mouse options (Lexip Pu94), and - Will be getting a left stick that has an omni-throttle styles Z-extension. Looking to have rolling the mouse as roll, to pair with the traditional mouse pitch and yaw, and have the forward/back on left twist, to use the left stick as up/down/left/right as you mentioned later in the video. Unconventional, but I think it should be fun.
first long term use of this type of gameplay i had was Steel Battalion for Xbox and I've been fiending for a game that uses them. I'm sold on the idea now ty liked and subbed!
Genius, I never knew - you've just allowed me to get an extra 2 hats and 10 buttons so I don't need to let go of the stick unless it's for a peaceful action, such as landing gear - request to land is also very useful too as is Auto-Land if anyone uses that, personally I wouldn't trust it.
I guess the F7A MK II has been dethroned by 2954´s (2024) XenoThreat Overdrive Initiative Event, unless people miss it (Ending this month). Thanks for your content and the blast from the past o7
You see, the real reason NVGs aren't in game is because, due to totally legit lore reasons, NVGs have followed their real life price patterns and somehow cost more than an entire capital ship for a top of the line pair. Seriously, you can get some low res IR cams for cheap, but my god do proper NVGs run up a pricetag.
I've been using the Pro version now for over a year and while I can't compare it to the Ultimate, this is a pretty awesome grip, overall. It fits my hand much better than any of the other larger grips I've tried or owned before, including the Warthog and Cougar. Buttons feel super precise and well made and the stick/gimbal itself is also insanely precise. I did have to clean the clutches and regrease them since my GF must've been sitting on a shelf in VKB's EU-warehouse for two years (bought the stick in Sept 2022, production date on the box is Sept 2020) and the braking-grease that was on the clutches had gone bad and sticky. The thing was basically unusable out of the box - and once I de-greased it, it still didn't feel nearly as smooth as I would've expected. But once I had not only cleaned the clutches but applied some of the grease from my Gladiator's "reserve-stash", the stick transformed and I now wouldn't want to imagine having to go back to anything I've used before he GF. Including the excellent Gladiator Evo I used before the GF. All that said: I would probably recommend getting a desk-mount and an extension before considering the rather costly upgrade to the Ultimate. Switching to a mounted, center-stick configuration was a major game-changer for me and adding the 100mm extension pushed things over the top. While I do still eye the Ultimate on the VKB site from time to time and I would love to own it, I'm not sure it'd be worth the money. I'm very happy with the buttons and hats as they are on the Pro and my example of the grip doesn't feel or sound flimsy or rattly at all. So I suspect it would be more of a "cosmetic" or "bragging rights" upgrade for me, since, functionally, both grips are virtually identical.
i'm conceptually an INCH away from getting this working but something isn't clicking for me, and I need help, please. I've got the modifier setup to do VTOL on a single thumb button press and LANDING GEAR on the modifier pinky + thumb button, but star citizen is deploying both simultaneously when I try to use the modifier. What is missing from my gremlin/keybind here? How do i ensure the vanilla button key bind (VTOL in my example) is not registered by star citizen when I have the modifier key held down, so that I only get the second function (LANDING GEAR in my example) only? Thank you a million if you have time to shoot me a reply.
Really useful video. Many thanks. Unfortunately, no success getting Snowrunner to see the virtual device that is the combination of my Moza wheel base and USB pedals. The struggle continues!
This tutorial was doing good until you get to Joystick Gremlin. You don't show us how to get the second window, Input Viewer as you call it. Leaving out key details like that during a tutorial is really frustrating.
In aeroplanes, yes. If you plan on being competitive in spaceship combat, you will be at a disadvantage . 6DOF spaceships have different abilities, especially when aiming vs planes
@@RedLir_Live Clearly planes are different, but they are also 6 DOF and I was not making a comparison to planes. My comment was in the context of space sims. The only real difference being linear strafe, which you use the other controls for.
