Hello and welcome to my channel, Under The Scope! The channel focuses on video essays and analysis of everything surrounding the topic of anime, from its creation to its consumption. Hopefully, you'll find something to your liking!
Took me a while to finally watch the finale cause I just didn't want it to end... story wise, it was the perfect end to the whole story, just sad that we couldn't get more music. In previous years, the music they played that year has always been a huge part of the story and always parallel each other. Still, this story will have a special place in my heart
i had my problems with the ending but part of me always thought it had to be deeper than that especially the studio that created this anime others kinda follow the same things the only thing is that the anime makes it complex in this series
I am a Chinese viewer who watched your video about Euphonium 5 years ago, and that video was the best analysis of Euphonium I have ever seen. Episode 12 of season 3 led to a huge word-of-mouth reversal in China, and many core viewers, including me, couldn't accept the ending. They believe that episode 12 ruined the characterization of Reina, Taki, Hazuki, etc. and made Kumiko a saint but lost her soul. I watched this again knowing this ending already but still it took me a long time to get over it. It's like letting the 9 years of waiting of many viewers go down the drain.
Hey UTS, not sure if you'll even see this but personally I'd love to see you make a video for season 3. Not sure if you're still into making proper long videos (with your last one being from 2 years back), but the vids u made on Sound Euphonium really managed to put into words the feelings I felt but couldn't express. Either way, thanks for making such great stuff man
Honestly Nana changed my life, the way they are crafted makes them almost real. Most anime portray people as one dimensional and to fit into a certain 'box' or category. But Nana is more than that, it shows that people have different aspects and while characters can portray some emotions they can also portray the rest too. (the best example for me is how Nana had panic attacks but also remained strong when trying to support her other band members), it just gives an extra layer of complexity, which is vital for a more realistic take on human life. This all goes to say Nana is a 10/10 show please watch it if you haven't. You WONT REGRET IT
Did you perhaps see the third season? Id so, what do you think about it? i would like to know how do you feel after the last season that in my opinion completes wonderfully this journey.
Idk if he'll make s full video about the subject but he uploaded one yt short for each episode. He also talked about the series in a podcast, but I can't remember who's podcast it was.
Yeah I think this anime takes tne thrown as my favorite anime. Not only am I a Eupho player but I found this anime at such a hard time in my life and it helped me get through it. This is a beautiful story and a great representation of what band is all about. Passion and family.
That ending was so perfect! I honestly was expecting it ever since Kumiko became president so I was super happy with how the series ended. I've been following this anime since 2017 so seeing the story finally conclude after all these years fills me with joy and it almost feels like an achievement even though all I did was watch these characters' story unfold haha One of my top music anime about legacy, touching real struggles musicians go through and how all of that reflects in the way of playing music. This final season just made me love it more than ever! I will always treasure it!
See the reason I like senjogahara is because we have the same trauma and the date she went on with araragi had her asking some of the same questions I have asked myself
For me, the most impressive in 3 season was Kumiko's speech in S3E10 before Kansai competition. So passionate and expressive! Kurosawa Tomoyo's work (Kumiko's VA) is brilliant!
never thought i would get emotionally attached to a series about band competitions. now that season 3 ended i must say this was a wonderful journey. kyoani nailed the landing. liz and the blue bird is still my favorite, but season 3 isn't far behind.
It's kinda funny how the only shorts you have are of Sound Euphonium. But then again, I don't blame you. Having just finished Season 3, Sound Euphonium has officially become my favourite anime from Kyoto Animation. This is gonna one of those shows that I will remember dearly for years to come. 😁
I was actually quite proud of myself for guessing who was the 1st and 2nd player, though now I see what you meant by the anime making a significant change from the novel. When Reina picked the 1st player, I started to question my guess because I did not expect Kumiko to lose there. 😁
I watched this anime on a whim thanks to your videos about 5 years ago and I never expected myself to enjoy it as much as I do now. It truly is one of my favorite pieces of media I have ever watched. Following Kumiko's journey over the years, the struggles she went through and her desires to improve both at music and as a person, watching her come up short time and time again and to finally have her dream come true and getting gold in the end was truly something special. I'm so grateful to you for your videos and helping me find Hibike! Euphonium and to Kyoto Animations, for putting so much love and passion into every anime they produce.
This is why I love Hibike Euphonium so much, the series is filled with beautiful writing and love from KyoAni. The symbolism, the details, the soundtrack, the animation, the writing, everything about this show is a masterpiece that words can't even describe. I'm truly grateful for KyoAni for Hibike Euphonium, a show I will never forget 🥺❤️
Its awesome seeing someone talking about a series he loves like this. Its a shame that you "retired" doing long form content. I dont have the passion for eupho like you do but you have inspired me son many times your legacy in the same way of this musical will go on❤
