Hi my name is Kim and I like to create stuff. I have worked with all kinds of classical hobby projects for the last 20+ years and I still find immense joy in challenging myself, trying to improve, or create something new and unexpected.
I work with all kinds of different hobby projects, 3D prints, arcade machines, minature painting and so on, no project is too small, or too large for this channel. I hope that my projects can both inspire and bring some enjoyment to all who watch my videos.
Feel free to comment on my videos, it is always awesome to get feedback. And if you would like to help me grow this channel, like, subscribe and share my wicked projects with all of your friends :)
Thank you so much for tuning in on my channel, I really hope you enjoy the content.
Dis you get the endoskeleton vacuumetalized or plated? I have made several 1:1 scale versions. I live close to a factory that vacuumetalized them. I find they are actually too shiny and have to add alot of black paint to tone it down a bit.
Hello to you, already impressive work, congratulations 😊. By the end of the year I am embarking on this project. I had a question. For the joints, how do you keep them still?
Hi and thank you for your comment :) All joints on this model has been glued in place, and some of them has been pinned using metal rods to they dont break. Good luck with your project and please let me know if you have any further questions, I'd be happy to help.
Thanks, I'll make sure to post an update when I get there. My slot car projects are mostly done during summer as my racing room is way to cold during winter
Thanks for the comment, unfortunatly the designer of the model has removed it from thingiverse so it is no longer avaliable. It is possible to find other models on cults3d and gambody though.
The artist behind the 3d model I used in this project has removed it from thingiverse so it is no longer avaliable. To be honest the model had a lot of flaws so I would recommend finding another one if you are going to print your own. It is possible to find other models on cults3d and gambody.

Was there any parts that impossible to print in the Ender Pro-printers? Being to large or in other ways hard to fit on the 220x220x250mm? Or can you just split objects in to smaller parts? :) I am so impressed by this project and your skills. Can't wait to give it a go myself!
Hi and thank you so much for your comment (sorry for the late reply, been busy at work). I bought an old CR10S Pro to print some of the larger parts. So it is possible to split up the parts but it requires a lot more post processing than printing the pieces on a larger printer
Hi there! I just stumbled upon your channel and found your T-800 project incredibly inspiring. Like you mentioned, I absolutely feel the urge to have my own personal T-800. I've been eyeing the Sideshow lifesize skeletons, but they're quite pricey. Discovering that it's possible to create one with 3D printing has motivated me to take on the challenge myself. However, I'm a complete novice when it comes to 3D printing, modeling, painting, and electronics. You mentioned doing a video with insights you gained from the project, but I couldn't seem to find it. Can you direct me to it? Best regards from Sweden.
Yeah, I got caught up in other projects and sort of forgot doing that video. Would love to make it though as I have learned a lot about how to work on a project like this. since I made this Terminator. Just need a vacation so I have the time to do it :)
Awesome! Looking forward to see it :) In the meantime I'm pleased to tell you I have already started my project. Finished all the skull parts and some of the parts for the feet. Now Im focusing on the plasma rifle. I intend to use that object to train assembly, glueing, sanding, painting. My plan is to atleast make two T-800, the first being a test version. Can't thank enough for inspiring me to try this :D @@HobbyWorld_one
@@Siouxjin Sorry for the late reply, my work has taken up way to much of my time the last couple of weeks. I would love to see your project. You are more than welcome to share it on my facebook group. It sounds like a great idea to use the plasma rifle as pratice. I can recommend superglue and baking powder combined with metal pins for support.
Thanks for the comment, unfortunatly the designer of the model has removed it from thingiverse so it is no longer avaliable. It is possible to find other models on cults3d and gambody though.
Found the channel today and have watched all the steps, this is an amazing build, something I only wish I could do myself, brilliant Idea to have an older T-800 everything came out perfectly in the end after all your hard work and the setbacks (We know it was you John 😂) Phenomenal life-sized statue, you have more than earned my sub to your channel, keep up the brilliant hobby energy and hope to see more crazy life sized builds from you. I'll be back. 😎💜
Wonderful job. Exelent paintjob. Superb lighteffects and one can only apreaciate the amount of money, time and effort you have put into this project. There is only one small detail that bugs me. The T-800 is made of an titanium alloy. Therefor adding rust onto it does not make sense to me since titanium does not rust (atleast i sure hope not, since i have 3 titanium tubes in my heart). Adding mudspots, oil leakage, burnstains and even Bloodstains to weather it and cover up print failures is a big YES! But rust on titanium? Now i hope i don't upset you after all the huge amount of work you have put into this. I just felt i needed to share my thoughts on this. Other then my little observation here, i am really impressed on the result. I sure hope to see more of your work. I learned a lot about handeling huge projects like this because of your video's.
Hi and thank you for your comment :) You are not the first one to point this out, and I completly agree, I have ended up just calling it dust from the battlefield :D Might make another Terminator sometime in the future and correct the mistake. I actually like the clean look on the robot and my printing skills have increased since this first project. Once again thank you for your feedback, really appreciate it :)
After watching your previous Terminator build, I just finished watching these videos. I really admire your enthusiasm and never ending confidence when things go not as intended. And the final product agrees with you: Another fantastic life-size statue. Wow. I started 5 days ago my first life-size build project and I took a quite a few inspirations and tips from what you shared. So, thanks for that. One thing that may help you on your next build, is a software called LuBan 3D which makes cutting large scale models into printable pieces really child's play. No more fiddling around in Blender, or Fusion 360 and it even adds connectors and dowels automatically which makes gluing the pieces together really easy.
I'm personally really happy with how this model turned out. I still need to finish the display/base for the model :) I'm familar with Luban, but I like to be able to cut the pieces just where I want, this way I can ensure that the use of supports are minimal and that the parts aligne as I want them on the printbed. This might be possible to do in never versions of Luban (havent tried that :) ). Creating dowels is a great ide, both for aligning the parts and the strength. Anyways thank you for the tip and best of luck with your own full sized build. If you have any questions just write. Best wishes
Was not sure if this project will turn out great when you showed the first prints as they were a bit rough. But man, this became an incredibly beautiful model. Congratulations and thanks for taking us with you on this journey.
Hi and thank you so much for your comment. I had the same concern, it was also my first full scale build so there was a lot of learning by doing involved :) Ended up great though. Best wishes
Hi and thank you for the comment. I ended up printing some of the parts on a really large printer (CR10 MAX). But still had to cut the 3d model up in meshmixer and glue everything together. My main problem with the model is where to place it, it's pretty large :)
Phenomenal work! You are a master craftsman and have a great imagination. I would love to do something like this in the future but doubt I ever will unfortunately. Congratulations on a job very well done!
Thank you so much for your comment, really appreciate it. Actually I never thought that I would end up building my own Terminator model in full scale. Always wanted on though. When I build this model I only had access to two 3D printers, one small and one medium sized. All the best wishes
Thank you, much appreciated :) It ended up being a really time consuming project making this gameboard, but the wife was so happy for it so it was worth it. Best wishes
The base is amazing and really adds to the scene. It would have been easier to just mount the terminator, but you've gone the extra mile to make the base an amazing part of the whole build. Great job!
Thank you for your comment, really appreciate it :) I really enjoyed building this model and painting it, considering making another terminator model in full scale in the future. Just need to find a place where I can display it :D
Stumbled across your video and have to appreciate your time and efford you put into this presentation. Especially the comparision of your results. Helped me a lot (planning on buying one this week)
Thanks, really appreciate it. Glad that you liked the video and that you could use it. Hope that you enjoy your adventure into the world of 3d printing.
Hi and thank you for your comment. I might be using a win 7 on that machine at that time. It served my purpose and was very reliable. I'm also running win XP on a couple of old machines that run my lasercutters. It's incredible reliable and non-networked :)
That is so awesome, thank you so much for your comment. Personally I really enjoyed the scene in the ruin city with the T-600 :) If you haven't done so you should check out my T-800 build, it was my first full scale 3d printed movie prop. Huge fan of the Terminator Franchise
About 10 seconds before you mentioned your car displays, i was just thinking how incredibly awesome those things are! :D I'm not an electronics expert, so consult someone who is, but I believe the motors will create more drag if there is something trying to draw power from them. I think the easiest thing would be a light bulb (not LED) attached to the 2 copper strips at the wall. Each lane would have it's own source of power draw. An electronics engineer, or perhaps a subscriber can suggest what would be good. For sh*ts and giggles I'd maybe use a 4 watt night light bulb to try it. The current draw of the cars themselves might be a good place to start in search of something wanting the same amount of power. This whole project is awesome :D
Hi and thank you for your comment :) Those displays have taken so long to make and I still need 4 :D But it's worth it. I think you are absolutly right I was actually considering adding a small old fashioned light bulp to cause some resistance. Was also considering just using a resistor, but it would look great if the cars could make a light flash when breaking (will need some testing though) :) I'll do some more work on this later when I have got the drag race strip up and running. Once again thank you so much for your feedback, really appreciate it.
@@KevinNguyen-zn4vv It's not cheap, but I enjoy working with these projects :) Installed solar power last year so as long as I only print huge projects during summer it's ok :D
There is 1 piece of info. You left out that is needed for a recommendation. Is it the six car power base or the 4 that comes with your set? They are distinctly different .
