Had my replaced/ covered under warranty $3500. Track was broken and i guessed its bc the gasket sticks. I keep it lubed but now when i open it i open vent first then ill slide it if i want.
Don’t need it but a swinging tail gate it’s something I’d totally use, my bed is full of heavy tool boxes that I have to drag on the tailgate sometimes just to get one tool from the box.
The reason for the thermostat was to allow the coolant to circulate in the engine longer. Allowing the engine to warm up faster. I like whenever college educated kids get engineering jobs. Then, try to reinvent the wheel. Louvers were replaced by the thermostat. Why? Because louvers didn't quite work. They had too many mechanical issues. Stop trying to reivent the wheel and start making the wheel servicable and repairable.
I change mine EVERY 2500 miles. I don’t care how ridiculous or expensive it sounds. Also, I flush my antifreeze and heater core EVERY March with no exceptions. Don’t care if it’s a 150k mile antifreeze or not.
Using 87 octane fuel is also something too many people do and deteriate 10k plus motors to save literally 5 bucks per fill up. Also, all motor oils are not equal, chances are if you get you oil changed for the cheapest price possible the inside of your engine looks like this imo.
How does the water have enough time to rust the fuel system? Youd think with all the diesel constantly flowing through the system it wouldn’t have enough time to do anything
Ford had the best tailgate for years with the basic step and handle bar, and soft open. Not over complicated like the other big 2 have done. Ford had to wreck something that worked to good
Why dosent Ford and others auto manufactures stop sending the engine sewage (CCV) back through with the filtered cold air to mix with the finely metered air-fuel ratio going into the combustion chamber causing poor combustion and making emissions worse clogging up the intake and putting carbon on the injectors and the valves and pistons lowering HP and MPG? That is just my take how ever I elect not to
Nice to see you guys help out a diy restoration guy. That's gonna be me one day, but with a 1986 f150 4x4 with a 300-6 and a 4 spd stick. I'm gonna need help with that last 25%. Lol
I see no purpose to this other than someone was complaining ford isnt doing anything special with the tailgate for some reason ( looking at you tfl truck) so ford did...something.
