I was a very active Jehovah's Witness my whole life. I was baptized at the age of 9 and later served as a regular pioneer, ministerial servant and bethelite, as well as in two foreign language congregations before coming to the startling conclusion that this religion was actually not "the truth" in 2016. As a result of my departure from the religion, I am currently being shunned by my family and the many friends I made within the Jehovah's Witness religion.
When someone leaves the Jehovah's Witnesses, they are silenced by this religion. Once the announcement "So-and-so is no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses" is made, no one from among the 8 million Jehovah's Witnesses worldwide is allowed to speak to this individual, even to ask them what happened. My channel allows individuals to share their honest experiences so as not to feel silenced. It also shares valuable information about the religion to which rank and file JWs and the community in general are not privy.
My father is going through this journey right now. He’s almost 80 and the questions and lack of answers are starting to pile up. I am so nervous of what this will do to his mental state when he comes to the same realization I did. I felt devastated, anger, resentment and deep sorrow. I remember actually feeling physically weak. Hearing Jeffrey Jackson’s testimony at the Royal commission did it for me. It was as if I went into a state of mourning. But I’m young and still have so much life left. My father is near the end of his life and has dedicated 50 years of service to this farce. I can’t imagine the devastation that would bring to one’s mental state.
So you decide you must attend college in order to take care of your sick mother. She puts you out in appreciation. That doesn't sound like what Jesus would do. Warped.
Charles Russel was an Apostate also. He broke away from the 7th Day Adventice to start his own religion. The organization of JW's use brainwashing techniques slowly while studying the Bible with you. It is crazy how people who are in it don't see the brainwashing that goes on. They don't want you to think, question, or educate yourself.

When NPR ran Amber's story, I was PIMI and almost listened to it, but chickened out. I was just DYING to listen! I wonder how many JWs listened, though, bc that platform is so widely available and accepted as fairly credible.

Sometimes the addiction is diabolic, & you need deliverance from demonic attacks, but the JW’s even though they believe in it don’t know how to handle that. We did have a possession case in my hall for example and they had to consult the branch but most JW’s and they will be shocked in my opinion but really any addiction is probably diabolic. Also something that really stuck out to me is that the Pope made a formal apology for the child abuse, JW’s silence😢
DF'd for "speaking abusively of glorious ones"? (Jude 8)????? Really? 😂😆😄 OMG! Another made up reason for shunning someone and ruining his life by not permitting his long time friends and his close family to fellowship with him! Un-frickin' believable! But so true to their form over the past 10 years or so. I too was an ex-JW elder for 14 years; and speak from experience. They DF'd me in 2021 for "violating neutrality"; a term coined by the Watchtower over the years; but not found in the Bible! Back a few years ago, there were now nearly 40 reasons listed in the elder's manual for why one could be disfellowshipped! Yeah, why don't you go ahead and find the word "neutrality" in the Bible. Much less find a definition for it!! I've tried to appeal for reinstatement 2 times and was denied without even sitting down to listen to me! The 3rd time in a new congregation hand delivering it to an elder; but now waiting 11 weeks without a peep out of anyone on the elder body! So, I finally sent an 18 page expose' of reproof of these elders; to the US Branch office service dept.; USING THE SCRIPTURES, not their stupid man-made rule book; though I did cite several violations of procedure and condemned them for judging based on opinions and personal conscience! (1 Corinth. 4: 3-6;......Romans 14: 3-12;, 1 Tim. 5: 21; ...1 Tim. 6: 3-5;,......James 4: 11, 12,....for starters! I'd like to swap stories with this guy; from one ex-elder to another abused ex-elder! Thanks for posting this; as everyday there are more and more stupid reasons the Watchtower org. has made up to remove and shun people! Like, "for causing divisions," ( you mean like Jesus who "came to cause divisions"??...Matt. 10: 35)... for "not accepting the elder's counsel", (I really had to laugh at that one recently related by another ex-JW here on YT), for "speaking abusively of glorious ones"!! And who was Jude speaking about? The same men that were "admiring personalities for their own benefit,"???--Jude 16 This group of leaders (the governing body) must be removed by those of us fearless enough to call them out and reprove them. I'm not afraid to do this, and it appears this dear brother isn't either. Psalm 56: 9,..."This I well know, that God is for me. verse 11: "In God I have put my trust, I shall not be afraid. What can earthling man do to me?"..

Why can’t they just standby but they wrote originally and published? So much shady behavior.
