If falinks is unable to switch out due to a move other than No Retreat then it can use No Retreat multiple times so you can just stack boosts together like that

alright i know this video is really old but here's my hypothesis: ○ Enemy Pokémon (Kecleon) disappears when the camera moves to Greninja's front, so as to prevent model clipping with larger Pokémon ○ Water effect builds up around Greninja's hand at the start ○ Shuriken is thrown, causing the HP bar to be shown and Kecleon to reappear ○Something about improper Battle Bond causes 4-5 hit WS to not animate steps 2&3 at all, possibly due to Ash-Greninja having different WS animation (shuriken placed differently?) ○voila! Kecleon has gone out to get milk
