I love cars and modifying them is what I enjoy doing, so this channel is mostly about how to do things to your car to make it look and feel better. I hope my videos make YOU feel better ;)
They now have a number of options to choose from. When I bought mine, they didn't have a cover for the pre-facelift XF, but now they do. Not sure what year model yours is, but here are a few links. If you have the older XF and you buy the facelift steering wheel cover, you will have some extra leather on the back of the upper spokes which you will need to trim off. If you buy the one specifically for your car, it should be a straight fit. Here are the options you can take a look at: www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005536913326.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.21.5f46YJkgYJkghL&algo_pvid=77b8f0da-4591-49cd-8734-666dfd8f9cb1&algo_exp_id=77b8f0da-4591-49cd-8734-666dfd8f9cb1-10&pdp_npi=4%40dis%21ZAR%21659.23%21303.25%21%21%21260.00%21119.60%21%402101ea8c17159297518545614ed380%2112000033453515323%21sea%21ZA%21166061242%21&curPageLogUid=EJNYtnFzWuWv&utparam-url=scene%3Asearch%7Cquery_from%3A www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004722339248.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.1.5f46YJkgYJkghL&algo_pvid=77b8f0da-4591-49cd-8734-666dfd8f9cb1&algo_exp_id=77b8f0da-4591-49cd-8734-666dfd8f9cb1-0&pdp_npi=4%40dis%21ZAR%21890.98%21489.96%21%21%2148.88%2126.88%21%402101ea8c17159297518545614ed380%2112000034361223246%21sea%21ZA%21166061242%21&curPageLogUid=U1xmffjr6x3r&utparam-url=scene%3Asearch%7Cquery_from%3A' www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004558625365.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.11.5f46YJkgYJkghL&algo_pvid=77b8f0da-4591-49cd-8734-666dfd8f9cb1&algo_exp_id=77b8f0da-4591-49cd-8734-666dfd8f9cb1-5&pdp_npi=4%40dis%21ZAR%21557.81%21418.36%21%21%21220.00%21165.00%21%402101ea8c17159297518545614ed380%2112000029610336906%21sea%21ZA%21166061242%21&curPageLogUid=gO31aPzgwSN3&utparam-url=scene%3Asearch%7Cquery_from%3A
That's odd. Did you make sure the bottom of the cover was properly gripped in at the base? If not then it will jeep coming off. Mine has stayed in place even with the car parked in the sun on a 40 degree day. I've moved my seat a few times to do work inside the car and the cover hasn't come off.
Again on point intro music Man , I must say I can listen to it all day in my Jag 😂.. Great job as always Hilton Great job always enjoy watching and learning from your videos thank you ...
Great job Hilton. A relatively small improvement but with a big impact. You now have a much better arm rest. Good luck with the partial respray. Funny, I saw a black Audi A3 recently and its bonnet also had a big clear coat issue. Looked a right mess! Enjoy your evening 😎
Thanks, Andy. It definitely seems to be an Audi issue. Many used Audis I see for sale have the same issue. But I know once the bodyshop sort thos out, it will last longer than the car will 🤣
You are always welcome. You let people know they can extend the life, look, and function of their car by taking the time to fix, and upgrade their car look and function. A car that someone would normally eventually get rid of after it's lost it's inside beauty and function you turn around and revitalize and remix the car to bring it back to life. You alone are like those TV shows that renew and revitalize the older cars, but only you do it to newer cars. You also enpower people to do it themselves by showing them and giving them the confidence to do it themselves. Thanks again for all you do. God bless.
@mygodisable2 Awe thank you so much Debbs. If I can make a difference to help one person with my videos even by just entertaining them then I'm happy. If one can be empowered to do something themselves instead of spending money to have someone else do it, it gives me great satisfaction. Life is becoming very expensive on this planet. 🤗
Hey there from South Wales. I would definitely say the Jag is more superior. Specifically the X250. The X260 was a level below in terms of quality and ride comfort, but the XF X250 shape is still the 👌
You need someone to help you. One inside the car and someone outside the car. Remove the rear seat bench, lower the front passenger seat as low as possible and then you have to push the headliner out the rear passenger door. You will have to bend it a bit but that will be okay. When reinstalling you will have to bend it again and it will crease somewhat, but the creases go away after a few days.
@pauledwards5170 It's because mine is an older model. The facelift 2013 model got an analog clock on the display. The old models had a digital display. Unfortunately it's not changeable. The x260 didn't even have a clock. Many Jag fans missed this little detail when they upgraded.
Hi! Just by placing an LED bulb instead of the halogen, I had to reset the computer to get the lights back and now the BCM is blocked. Can't imagine how you changed the whole light without having issues with the BCM?
That's odd. I had led bulbs in my OEM headlights and didn't have any issues. No errors or anything. Even swapping the tail lights out didn't do anything. It's very odd that your BCM has reacted this way. Before doing this I did a great deal of research and all people who changed to LED headlights did straight swaps without issues. Something else is going on with your car.
If you can, try to get one with wood grain inlays already specced. But if not, vinyl is the only way to go. Hydro dipping would also be a good option. That black plastic looks really cheap.
No, because these headlights are plug and play. No cutting of wires or anything, so warranty is still in tact. If you cut a wire anywhere on the vehicle, only the warranty on electrical is affected. But not in this case.
Hi hilton I've had my jaguar xf sportbrake 2.2 2014 for 6 years and never taken it to a dealer for sevice or local garage thats probably why it still works, its had 2 sets of tyres replaced brake pads and done all the oil / air filters myself just replaced the batteries and it runs like the day i bought it. It has no service history but im not worried although it has been serviced. Ive kept a record of servicing for my reference but I'm not looking to get rid of it anytime soon, l love this car. I'm looking to change the front discs when i replace the front pads apart from that shes a goodie. Just remembered the only other thing was wiper blades.
That was a close call! I’ve got a 2005 Toyota here in the UK, it did have an airbag recall 1/2 years ago, can’t remember the exact issue, but I’m sure it related to the possibility of it going off randomly. Also in the UK we have a government website where you can check the MOT status and history of a vehicle, at the bottom of the page, there’s a recall section, which tells you if there’s any outstanding recalls. This is very handy if you’re looking to buy a used car, as you’re going to check the MOT history anyway, so while you’re there you can check for recalls aswell. You clearly don’t have this luxury over there. Glad you got it sorted and nobody got injured!
Lol, no we d9nt have any luxuries with government here in SA 😅. One pretty much has to find these things out yourself. Glad your Toyota is sorted as this could seriously harm someone you love.
Brother I have to tell you after owning this XF and just looking for different things you pop up a little bit and the first thing or two you were very valuable and some things I'm like oh my gosh I don't this is too much just show me what's going on please but then it's like hey you're being formal and you're being real like you're delivering you have a very good knowledge and you explain it extremely well like very articulate and very nice very quaint and very transpiring of information that is well needed so thank you so much like I know I'm going to be going to some of your things in the future here trying to get this XF up to par and it's not far off but I'll see you really describe things in a very great way like I would call you you should be a teacher man you could be a teacher
It looks great but I do understand we all like to be perfect especially if we doing it ourselves to perfection ... But it does look really great tho can't lie about that ... 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆✔️
On point 👈💯💯💯% Its a joy jus to watch you go to work on your vehicles I learn while you teach , You teach as I learn and I preach to myself and I learn and teach myself if you know what I mean lol 😆🤣🤣😂😂 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆✔️
Hey Hilton it's a lot of things and stuff that I appreciate as I watch you redecorate , restore and remodel your vehicles .. it's just amazing how much you show us woooow ... 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆✔️✔️✔️✔️
It wasn't necessary as the ignition wasn't turned on. The only time I would disconnect the battery is if I'm unplugging or plugging an airbag in the car.
Hi hill 2 questions For this set up What is all my audio boxes under the seat git water damaged Can this bypass all and still work? And 2. The replacement screen Android unit i think you have in anoyher video. Same question Can i do a successful swap and all work With all the modules under the seat all damaged? Thanks so much for your help. James
Hey. As far as I know the only module affecting the sound system under the seat is the Bluetooth module. The rest is in the trunk. This module would bypass the car's Bluetooth because it has its own. Likewise if you install a full Android screen you wouldn't need anything other than the amplifier to push sound out the speakers. They all have their own GPS and Bluetooth
Thanks for the prompt reply, my XF has the washer built into the headlight (the silver panel bottom centre), so looks like the are 2 variants. I will have to dig further, thanks
Great video, can not see anything on connecting the washer hose to the headlight unit. Is there 2 versions of headlight unit 1 for waser and 1 without, thanks
Yes. My headlights didn't have washers, but if you watch my video of removing my XFR bumper you can see how to disconnect the washers. Very easy to do.
How do I get my high beam headlight on ? Currently my low beam is working automatic high and low I can’t seem to fix it anyone knows who has an 2015 XF Jaguar sports
I have a question for you feller ? I want to fit full leather seats into my jag xf when I unplug the heated seats do I need to disconnect the batteries or can I just unplug and just plug the new ones in ? Thank you
Hey Chris, yes, you have to disconnect the battery negative at the very least . Put a heavy towel over the battery so that the terminal doesn't accidentally touch the battery after disconnecting. The reason is the airbags in the seats. You will see the airbag connectors are all yellow. You need the electric motors to slide the seats out their rails so only disconnect the battery once the seats are free and before you disconnect the airbag wires.
