This channel is about fishing and making your own gear. There are a lot of reasons why you should make your own gear, but the most important reason must be, that it is great fun and gives you a special feeling to catch something on a homemade lure. Apart from tutorials on how to create your own gear, you will join me on fishing trips, and see me use the gear and maybe get a few tips about the fishing.
I love to get comments, questions and see pictures of what my movies has inspired you to make, so please leave comments to the movies, or go to the Splish Splash Fishing facebook page.
And of cause - SUBSCRIBE - Splish Splash is non profit, and the only thing i get for my work is subscribers and likes!
How can I get a tool Like that please. I would love to buy one Off of you. I am having a very hard time with that process of My lure building. I would really appreciate it if I can buy one from you please. Please let me know. Ty.
No doubt it works, but the making is a LOT harder than the watching, the drilling with coated drill bits was incredibly difficult, because the bolts are generally very hard steel indeed so blunted a few drills and even with pilot holes drills wandered and made holes larger than intended.
A small piece of flat steel with a ~2mm hole close to one end would be perfect for wrapping the wire around at the end & less awkward than the pliers. Great video & tool, Thank you
How are you doing SS? Long time no see. I was wondering if it is possible to make heavy size (40g or 50g) wtd lure such as Patchinko, Cobra or Skimmer. What do you think?
Hi there. Many of my lure projects are based on need of new lures to an upcoming trip. Unfortunately I don't have any trips planned that requires such a lure right now, but hopefully within too long I might have the need again. Also want to make a GT ice cream style lure
Muy buenas tardes, un saludo desde Colombia. No tengo un taller para hacer este doblador, pero me interesa mucho tener uno. ¿Crees que me podrías vender uno y enviarlo a Medellín, Colombia? Muchas gracias.
Instead of glue use low temperature solder so if you need to replace a part of the bender you can just heat it up and take out the bad part and replace it. Just a thought.
As my shop is not heated: Is there a certain range of Room-Temperature (or a minimum Temperature) while covering the lures with epoxy and drying them afterwards ?
Hi !! Thanks for sharing the post which I was waiting for a long time. I have issues while doing top coat as I do not have proper holders for lures. As a result the epoxy got into the holder or there were scratches on the bib even after putting masking taken. I am working on the difficult holder, almost through. The issue is with doom nuts with hole. I got doom nuts but they are without holes. And with holes they are not available locally nor on e-commercial portal. Could u please sharing your source of buying doom nuts with holes. Thanks, raghubir
@@SplishSplashFishing thanks for reply, the one I got were steel doom nuts and got the holes done from outside vendor since normal drill does not work. Regards
