Just came across this. Only one style of door opening was covered, and very little with the wheelchair was covered. So i appreciate it. I know i don't have a correct fitting one. They wanted to send me home with the standard "drive brand" hospital one. Not knowing if i would need one long term. Had one that was a bit better, but still not custom fit from someone else. At least i preserved my slot for a custom fit chair.

This was fascinating. I'm a paraplegic but it affects my core way too much to do any of this. Would love if I could. It would free me so much. But thank you for sharing.

I’ve become severely chronically ill since my divorce, which led me to buying a wheelchair on Amazon. Currently working on getting a custom one! It’s hard though. Not only do I have the stress of adapting to a chair, but this chair I have isn’t fitted to me and I don’t know how soon I’ll get a custom one. I technically have the freedom of a chair, but it’s a painful freedom for now. It won’t always be painful though, so I’m looking forward to a happier future. And I’m not waiting to start being positive! I’m starting now❤

One hack for making a bed using a wheelchair, I find it easier to do the corners like this: top left (in my case), bottom right, top right, bottom left. I find the diagonal tension helps!

I always had a wheelchair all my life and I learned a lot from you. I absolutely have to wear wheelchair gloves to prevent my hands from blistering and keep clean. Life in a wheelchair is definitely not easy, but it does take patience and Time to learn.

i'm chronically ill. i currently walk on crutches almost full time, but will probably need a wheelchair soon because of chronic joint pain and cfs. it would mean freedom to me. i can't do a lot of things right now, but a wheelchair would enable me, and i think that's what they are for. if someone sees this, who is in a similar situation: don't give up. don't be afraid to use mobility aids, if they could give your more quality of life. and don't think you're alone. you're not. i love you.

Just started watching your channel today. I started watching your wheelchair pushing and exercise vids then the tour of you apartment… but then I started reading comments saying where’s this guy gone? And I see your apartment has changed and your mood and problems seem to have gotten worse… this seems to be just after the pandemic time and supply shortages. I didn’t live alone during Covid and I’m glad because my mental health doesn’t do well with just my own company. I don’t know if you spent a lot of that time alone.Anyway it’s 2024 now and the world has moved on from that shitstorm. Everyone’s wondering why you haven’t posted since. Maybe you ran out of ideas or couldn’t be fkd . Maybe we need a vote of what kind of video people want you to make.. Maybe something chilled out and random.. cooking? 😅🤘

Don't you just hate it when you're pushing along and the path is taken up by a load of dawdling walkers. You politely say "Excuse me" and then some smart arse say's "You should get a bell on that!" ... "Yeah and you should get some spacial awareness!"

I think everyone can agree that most doctors don't do their jobs properly. yeah, everyone with disabilities need what they need, and people need to remember that. That being said, there are a lot of different disabilities, so some people will always be worse off than others.

i have never been paralyzed, but i was unable to walk due to a cyst around my spine. it’s recurring and they won’t do surgery on it. i have chronic feet pain as well. it’s incredibly frustrating and discouraging. i can’t imagine not being able to walk, move, FEEL, and i take those for granted. thank you for reminding me.

i also broke my foot in february pretty bad and used a wheelchair for 4 months. it was exhausting. excruciating. painful. obnoxious. i also got looks. people would push past me. wouldn’t let me through. it was so discouraging.

I like you. I just discovered you and you're so cool. 😢❤I totally get it buddy. No I'm not paralyzed..not totally..yet. I have a godforsaken cane that I loathe using to the point that I hide it and no one knows I have it but I'm making my life so much worse.. I can't walk or stand much and keep falling. My life is: doctors appointments and tests and PT or.. home. Yeah I want a life too c😢😢. OMG I can't believe they're hanging up on you 😯😯😭😭 That's evil.. I hate when someone finds out my insurance is Medicaid and I'm disabled and No I don't have a job.. and suddenly ppl look at me different.. It's like we're not people in their opinion you know? I get mad, depressed to the point I sleep most of the time.. I'm sorry that was such a bad day for you and that there's too many of them 😢😢😢😢.. IDK if spine surgery is in MY future and I don't know why ur disabled but I really do like you and I get it, u know? And I was like "Yay he uses Huggies just like I do,!😅" They're the softest if anyone wants to know.. Hope to hear how you're doing 🙏. Good morning. Nice to meet someone who's brutally honest about the truth! You're awesome dude. And don't give up 😭😭.. I know life sucks 😔 but don't give up. ❤❤I love you buddy. I'm sorry it sucks 😞😞 so bad. I have too many medical issues to type! Wish I could hug you 🥺. I'm proud of you for trying 💪 every day.

Im L5-S1 parapligic from a car accident. While in the hospital my then abusive husband was cheating on me with my best friend, so this accident saved my life. I was in a wheelchair for 6 years then worked hard to get out of it now I can walk but its not pretty sometimes. Im 16 years out and im really fighting myself about going back into wheelchair the fear of not being able to get back out of it, afraid it will become easier than walking and that anger is real but then you joke about things to make others comfortable. Its a big place inside your head and you get tired of justifying your disability (back injuries are a hidden disability) I was a surgical tech, drag racer and ran 5 miles a day to now I can't run, jump, skip, tiptoe or pee on my on but im still here. Thanks for all you do. It really helps my brain.
