9:57 you can go as fas as to say that we as the characters in the games of Pokémon are the first persons to be able to ride Pokémon’s with the release of LOA it’s never been stated who were the first people to ride or establish a ride system but we as the main character of LOA are the only ways that ride Pokémon’s not even the ones over seeing the Pokémon’s have that ability
1:58 I mean, he doesn't need to look for a dark/fighting type, bug is also effective against psychic and heracross is in jhoto.... Tho we all know how "good" bug types were in the first 2 gens
1) [Sees that thumbnail, calls 10 generations of Officer Jenny] 2) Karim, I literally cannot wait to play your first game if you ever make one. Your animations are SO good they look official if not better 😭
something extre, mely notable is that gen 8 onward, the references to past games or regions have been unusually scarce, to the point of almost not existing. On top of that, most of the references tendo to be of recent games like withPaldea's multiple references to Galar. This made me think of a theory that the Galar, Hisui & Paldea games either are their own timeline, where mega evolution exist but wasn't made well known, or are many decades in the future to the point most older characters we know have passed away.
I'm one minute in and this is already my favorite video you've made. I'm praying you do a less lazy job than say HoopsNHiphop would do with this topic.
I can only say that Mega Charizard X was created to satisfy hardcore fans who demanded Charizard to have Dragon-type. Nevertheless, I don't see anything wrong with it.
Blaine would use healing items on Pokemon at full health. I appreciate that u kept in mind the context of the games & that u just didn't give the first gym leader issues. I will that the anime helped a lot expand on the gym leaders especially the Kanto ones. Shame that the Galar gym leaders were never used in the anime as they really needed a lot more development
I think that the weakness presented by the Mega Evolutions makes it more interesting. The fact that they almost kill the Pokémon in the process is terrifying, but it also plays on many of the themes already in the series. It also is cool that it requires a trainer to pull off, making the ONLY unique evolution with ties to the trainer.
Imo the fact you find spoiled apricorns near the hisuian voltorb and electrode tells me it's actually a electric creature that utilizes spherical objects that have become hollowed out. Originally they used natural apricorns thus the grass typing on them however when humanity moved to modern pokeballs apricorn trees became less populous most likely due to encroachment into natural habitats so they moved on to defective pokeballs but since they are man made they lose the grass type.
Hey man, amazing video! I love that you're being a bit more positive when everyone seems to be hating on all of the games these days. I was impressed with all the 2D and 3D animations but I have to ask how you imported the pokemon animations for the 3D games into your animation software, I'ved only been able to import the models without animations.
Thank you so much! The 3D models are mostly exported directly from the game’s rom but you can also find them on websites like “the model resource”. The animations are done from scratch on blender.
This is a lovely retrospective, and it's much needed in a time of overstimulation and widespread complaints about a series that is built on such excellent and fun ideas. Thanks for making this, this really made me remember why I love Pokemon in the first place!
Bro that thumbnail😂. Anyway Despite which one is your favorite. Every generation is someone’s first and does bring something good and interesting to the table, and I’m glad you pointed some out in this video. Here’s hoping Legends ZA brings the same to a more universal scale for the fan base.
You really know how to break a down a game and make me see the good in them. I never care much about Gen 1, but you def brought up some good points about red and blue
