Can I ask you mate as a fellow owner of a G4. when you shine a torch light on the panel when it is turned off does it give a Kaleidoscope spread of the light( dosent look clear( I didn't have this on my G2)I'm just wondering if this is due to the new anti reflective coating on the G2 or if an issue with my panel. I was able to get this at a pretty decent price, with taxes it was less than the asus and AW models so I’m pretty happy with it, while I’d love to compare it against those qd-oled, I live in a country where is not possible to see any good monitors in person. But to my use cases I think the monitor is pretty good, I’m not an expert and have less experience with trying monitors unlike you. But I’m really enjoying it. I think that solely based on reviews the ASUS is the best of the Oled 4K market right now but unfortunately I can’t try it so I guess I’m happy with my purchase and if you can grab the LG in a good deal I’ll still go for it. THE LG and the AW are usually in stock and while the MSI is a great option for the value in price, it’s never in stock and the same applies to the asus, so if you want one of those, just use a shopping extension that lets you know about restocks, cause they are hard to get😂

It's too bad these companies were never prepared for the demand. I ended up with a Samsun G80SD. It's still nicer than my old 1440p, so I'm not complaining.

If you look at the screen of this monitor directly, as usual, the colors are not very strong, but noticeably dimmer than if viewed from angles. This is very important and annoying, because when you approach the monitor, the colors are brighter and when you sit down at it, they get darker. This is probably a flaw in the matrix that can hardly be fixed programmatically. On the first point: I consider this unacceptable for a monitor in this price category. He's not worth his money. 2. Night vision in the AI position - in games with a top view (Dota 2 for example) - especially if you move the camera away with the mouse wheel on the replay - when you move the screen, light vertical stripes moving in the direction of the screen movement are clearly visible. 3. LG monitors have really dropped the ball across the board. Even the non OLED LG monitors seem to have many issues with these newer gens.

Also the 42 and 48 inch model just came out which are 3rd gen panels

Okay so I just got mine and for the price I was not blown away, color seems off,brightness isnt bright at all, also whites are not white they are either warmer or cooler when I’m in the settings

I just want a glossy miniLED. OLED monitors aren't there yet and you can get a 27" / 4K / 160hz miniLED without brightness or burn-in issues for $700 or less. Only downside is blooming, but in most cases it's not even noticeable.

So the display is garbage. Heavily considering the G80SD.

I wanted it to be good it checks every box. Currently if it was $1100 I’d pick it up. But $1400 ya. I can’t justify it.

Thanks for the video. I never tried this one. The way I fixed was turning off Gsync and turn on Vsync Fast mode. It works great.
