I respect the Cards fans. Like Lions fans, it takes character to support a team that has done so much losing. I hope you guys do get to enjoy more winning football in the future. You have earned it.
Five years in the league and he's never produced a season like a high quality starter. Yet every year the media acts like it's finally going to happen. It's getting into blind squirrels and broken clocks territory with Kyler.
Come be honest with yourself, Dobbs 10-13 td to int ratio vs Kyler’s 10-5 off the ACL. You saw how Dobbs ended in Minnesota right? Cardinals went from a 26th offense to the 9th when Kyler came back. Doesn’t matter how you feel Kyler but he got the arm talent, accuracy and legs to be a top 10 qb in the league he just needs to put it together for a full season.
@@augustkk9471 does he have the arm and legs ? Sure. That was not his problem. He has issues being that team leader. He was on his best behavior this year because he was coming back from injury and had to play to keep his job. But at the end of the day still losing team and losing mentality. He had every chance to be a top 10 qb in the league. That has passed long time ago. He couldn’t even put up numbers on a deflated Seattle defense when almost everyone scored on them end of season. Hell even Mason Rudolph did. He’s gone after this year when his cap hit is finally manageable
@@alginvestmentllc7638 The team and the locker room know who he is as a leader but what I saw last year was he rally multiple game winning drives against the Falcons, Eagles and Seahawks (Prater missed, they did it for Marvin let’s be honest with ourselves) It’s quite clear the Cardinals are not looking to move on from Kyler (Why even play him if you wanted to move on in the first place just lose out with their rookie qb) if they were it would have been when the historic rookie qb class was on the board, not in a year with pretty weak qb class (Ewers, Sanders, Ward seriously?) Long ago? Geno Smith’s your qb, I put faith in Baker Mayfield last year, there’s a reason why talented qb bounce around before stuttering out, the talent is always there. It’s all about situation with these guys. Run heavy offense with a qb with a career 2:1 ratio he’ll be fine for them and is more talented and younger than any stop gap you can find (The Cardinals time to trade him was before his contract was locked in and they started to have to pay him which happened this offseason if they trade or cut him the cap hit is massive now) The Cardinals franchise best qb’s were literally guys tossed to the side for nothing.
OK guys ...Woolen isn't there to stop the run. The plan is to stop the run up front or within 5 yards. Woolen is there to force them to run or make short passes over the middle
Better d-line always helps. With that, Woolen was a liability vs the run last Szn. Not asking for another Spoon. Asking he improve there. I like Brandan's points about him traveling with the #1
BOZOS has shown interest in buying many teams, If Jodi makes a bonehead move like this it's only a repeat of Ken Bearing when that clown moved the Seahawks to L.A., Jodi might want to move to another state or Continent if she does something that dumb! I don't think she needs money she should be worth a couple of billion. Whats the rush she should sit back and find the right Owner who has ties to the North West! BOZOS isn't from the North West he came out here and started Amazon but he's from the East Coast, Nobody who was around 27 years ago wants to see another FLAKY OWNER like Bering! just ask Mark Collins or anybody who was with S.O.S. or Save the Seahawks it was a Royal Pain In The Ass trying to save them last time I Know I called the NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabues Secretary constantly and Called all the owners in the NFL this would be Catastrophic! HELL NO!
If only that would be a possibility but as I understand US sports teams, I don't believe that this type of clause would be allowed as all US sports teams are the owners property and they can do pretty much as they wish with them. The history of US sports is littered with teams relocating at the owners whim. Whereas in Europe that is pretty much unheard of.
If Russ plays at least one more full season he should overtake Cam on the rushing list. Very curious if he can get closer to his former production this season. If he throws 4000 yds/ 30 TDs this year that would certainly be a helluva comeback
Damn, great stat Clinton. DangeRuss freaking Wilson, HOFer... Team 3 can go somewhere else though. It's too bad he chose money over Championships... Man, multiple SBs would have been amazing but 1 is great!
Bezos owning the team makes me VERY uncomfortable. He reminds me way too much of a previous owner, the worst to date, Mr Behring and Seattle came as close as you can come without actually losing the team to losing the team! He may be a super rich successful business owner but that means squat diddly to running a sports team. I've seen way too many business owners ruin sports teams, them having money does not equate to running a successful sports team. Personally I would LOVE that the team stays with the Allen family as they have been excellent owners and losing the team to anyone else makes me extremely nervous about the franchises future.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plz All that is 12 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Jody should keep team she is a great owner. Long live Jody the queen . Hip hip Hoooraaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!
We don’t need guys like this owning our team. Bezos. Howard Schultz. They’re all about saving a dollar instead of making a team. We don’t need culture like that
Yes! Unfortunately I think his 4000 yd/30 td days are behind him...unless he gets back to something like old russ and stays out of the pocket. He needs to get into sprinting shape
If your truly a Seahawks fan and you don’t want Russ in the hall then your just dumb. Greatest QB in the history of our franchise without a single doubt. With Russ under center in Seattle, I never felt like the Hawks were ever really out of a game. I will never hate on Russ. I just can’t. I would have taken Russ over any other QB in the league for nearly a decade.
I didn't hear Steve Hutchinson's name, except for him blocking for Beast Mode. John Schneider's biggest mistake has been the "conditional free agent" status that he gave Steve and GB screwed us.
Once we lost Kam and Sherm, Bobby was not so dominant that the D was seen or feared the same. Bobby wasn’t as impactful as others during his time like Patric Willis… Bobby is a fast smart LB but is propped up by the era of the team
It’s a fun discussion for sure. I think based on the number of pro bowls Russ gets in. Though if we are doing all the measuring and comparing, Russ got two offensive coordinators fired while trying to do the let Russ cook idea before eventually pushing his way out and showing he is a system QB as much as any other QB. Adam compared other QBs but looking at their teams around them and the staffs it wasn’t the same, equal at all.
Russ is on a different level from Bradshaw. And what did the LoB ever do without Russ? Russ was more successful without the LoB than the Loan was without Russ. Furthermore, Russ had the LoB for three solid seasons, and they blew two potential SBs. The narrative that the lob carried Russ is total bullsh!t, and I get sick of hearing it. There’s nothing statistical or otherwise supporting that position.
Russ was a great scrambler and big game passer when we needed it.the one pass in the Superbowl will not allow him to be in the hall of fame;unless, however,he wins in Pittsburgh.then he will make it,but he definitely has to make up for his last days in Seattle and the horrible time in denver.thats a big negative hurdle for him to overcome.i hope he does well and makes it.he was a great rep for Seattle in the public and he deserves respect for that.hes a good guy, just different is all
So, if Mahomes hadn’t won two recent SBs, he wouldn’t be a HoFer because he stunk up SB54 and SB55. Yes, he came back in the 4th quarter of SB54. Russ may have thrown IBE SB INT, but he was the reason they were playing in that SB, and he was the reason they were in position to win it! He outperformed Brady in that SB, and the INT wasn’t his fault, it was the coaches’ for calling such a dumb, risky play, and Ricardo Lockette’s for not converting. Russ threw a perfect pass to the guy but he didn’t break on the ball as strongly as he should have. THAT caused the INT. It’s ridiculous to think one INT, however ill-timed, would hero a guy out of the HoF. What HoF legends has Mahomes outperformed in route to his SBs or while playing them? Russ outperformed TWO and knocked off three HoF QBs, two top-10 all-time QBs en route to winning a SB, and outplayed two others (Rodgers & Brady) en route to appearing on a SB but ultimately losing.
Let's not forget about Russell Wilson's prolific rushing career. He's currently ranked 3rd all-time for quarterbacks with over 5,000 yards. That's very impressive.
Does he deserve to be in the HOF? He is borderline. Ring of honor, time heals all wounds but how he forced his way out means he is going to have to wait a bit to be welcomed back.
Russ isn’t borderline anything. He was already a HoF QB by his 6th season, and nothing has changed that. As a data scientist, I can tell you that one efficiency stat correlates most strongly with HoF prospects for QBs: career 4th Qtr Passer Rating! Every QB who has come into the league since 1993 and maintained a career 4th quarter Passer rating above 98 is in the HoF top r expected to be there. The only positive outlier is Teddy Bridgewater, who will not be a HoF QB despite having a career 4th quarter Passer rating above 98. The only negative outlier is Brett Favre, whose career 4th quarter passer rating is about 93. Until 2022, Russ led the league in that statistic by far with a career 105 4th quarter passer rating. Aaron Rodgers was a fairly distant second at about 102. Now, Russ is still sitting at a strong 3rd behind Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson, who just became eligible to be ranked. That’s after one disastrous season in 2022 with Denver and a subpar but solid season in 2023. Russ can still take his title back. Regardless of what happened in Denver, Russ is a first-ballot HoF QB. Obviously, he wouldn’t want to retire either that stain on his record, but Aaron Rodgers has had bad seasons. Andrew Luck is still discussed as a HoF QB. Luck only played for 6 or 7 seasons, was frequently injured, and didn’t have near the individual or team success Russ had. Russ is a first-ballot HoFer, snd he never stopped being one. One disastrous season cannot erase 10 seasons of excellence.
Bobby was a “force multiplier” he made 10 other guys on the field with him consistently better… I love the other GOATS, but I think Bobby is my all-time DUDE!
I believe Russell Should Be In The HOF will it happen it’s going to be tough though the way he played for the broncos if he can take the Pittsburgh Steelers to the super bowl he most definitely deserves to be in the HOF ain’t happening there’s too many better teams in the AFC Than the Steelers! And super bowl 49 sure didn’t help ether.
Saying he’s not in the ring of honor would be petty. But hawks mt Rushmore I don’t think he should be as an individual player. Unless the arguement is they need a QB regardless
It used to be so easy, it was Steve Largent, Cortez Kennedy, Kenny Easley and Walter Jones, but then we won the Superbowl with an all time great defense and it got more complicated, and now it's so hard to decide on just four. I still think Largent, Jones, and Kennedy, but that fourth is very open to debate now, there's are so many to choose from that you could make legitimate arguments for, but I'd probably have to go with Bobby Wagner.
