But how much has your fitness improved in comparison to prior to heat training, and have you been able to sustain the power on the road in the heat? Because alot of people do it via secondary so they will sit in the sauna post session.
5:15 Dehydration is not essential: While some research has explored dehydration during heat acclimation, it's not necessary for achieving adaptation benefits. Research is still ongoing in this area but it has been shown that the physiological adaptations of increased plasma volume, improved sweating response, and cardiovascular adaptations occur regardless of hydration status.
it was in fact very interesting video. Especially knowing how much your core body temp rises. Not sure I'm gonna include it in any of my training though great idea if I ever want to race in hot climate
@@cedrikbakkechristophersen you've come a long way mate. I have no plans/ambitions in making cycling my profession, though I am curious what you had to go through these years.
Hey cedrik im in love with your videos (life) but dont understand about lactate measurement can you describe for us in another video and i wish you fast recovery
This dude is incredibly fit. Now imagine Pogacar, who weighs less and just pushed 450 watts for 15 minutes at the end of a three week grand tour - it's beyond the imaginable
You go man! I was racing in Europe at UCI conti level for 3 years, last year I got Eilo also and I didn’t react straght away, suffered through whole season and in the end I just gave up mentally. Finally when i took it more seriously, i got my diagnose I knew what was wrong but it was too late for me. That stuff ended my career. So its really nice that you got it sorted out quickly and sharing that problem also out for the public is really nice. All the best for you🤟
Hello Cedric, good to see you back riding! Hope this was the last setback to your career. I would like to ask you, when you made the change to 165mm cranks, expept he saddle height increase did you also change the fore aft position and by how much?
Thanks! Not exactly sure what you’re pointing to, but I’m spending all my money investing in myself trying to become as fast as possible on my bike! Also went to Australia together with my dad to visit my little sister who is studying there at the moment. We haven’t seen here in 9 months and it was a great opportunity to visit her now;)
GG video mate. Just on the 165 mm cranks did you change your saddle position when you switched cranks? Going from 172.5 to 165 mm will usually result in a increase of saddle height by ~7.5 mm to make up for the shorter crank.
Yes, I did that, but for a guy that’s really sensitive for adjustments - it’s a big change🤠 But after the season I will definitely give myself time to learn how to ride with it!
