PINION PINCH BOLT - to get it on you have to loosen the pinch bolt on the other side of the shaft behind the power steering unit. - This should be in the video as everyone has the same issue!
If you're reading the comments debating on buying portals please watch a different video..!!! Especially if you're a mud Rider.... this video is ridiculous
My first time owner of a UTV. I have an XP 1000 and this video was extremely helpful in what and how to check problem areas. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
My passenger side back tire I have a string ran from back tire to front and the string is not touching the front of my back tire it is on the other side however can I adjust this out any help would be appreciated
My 2021 commander xtp does this, I see you have a tie rod kit for my commander to fix it but I don't see how there is enough room in the nuckel to move the tie rod end up or down enough to make a difference
@@ShockTherapyllc is there more info on the kit? The pictures on you website don't show the shimes , plus I don't see where I can get replacement hiem joints as I'm sure I'll need to replace them at some point
@@hughrs just watch the BSD instal video on the cannam x3. Same process and you can see the spacers. Individual rod ends are available on our site as well. The kit uses a 5/8 RH and 5/8 LH rod end. 👍🏼
something that didn't get discussed Bottom out bumper stops Can you replace them by removing the bottom mount Or do you have to disassemble the whole shock Do you sell them separately I'm looking for orange 2016 rzr xpt rear fox 1400 miles Garage kept but Full of cracks hopefully the ones I buy last longer If you don't have them in Orange do you know someone who does
You can replace them that way. Only issue is they are lock tight on so you have to heat up the lower loop enough to melt the lock tight but not enough to ruin the anodizing. We usually take the shock apart and remove them from the other direction. We do sell them just call the shop and we can facilitate for you.
Great ideas but way too many points have been completely dismissed. In your theroy a 4 seater with the same suspension as its 2 seater would buck more because the center of gravity is moved rearward. Arguably a 4 seater bucks less than a 2 seater though. Also if the stated theroy in this video were to be correct a standard double a-arm suspension would be like riding a bull...especially in a 4 seater. All that said, suspension with longer links does work beter and is easier to tune but the same goes for longer chassis. Shame on Yamaha for the poor shock/spring tuning!
So i have the 2024 xp 4 seater. Drove about 30 miles on rough pothole roads. 3 of my shocks the reservoirs were very hot and the left rear had no heat in the reservoir at all. Why would that happen. Thanks
First. Hot reservoir is a relative thing. Operating temps are 150-280 degrees. So unless you left skin on the resi when you touched it, then it’s not too hot. Right rear has exhaust next to it so it’s always warm. Left rear not at all. So the fronts work harder than the rears on this unit. That’s normal. But it’s also not right. Spring kit and valving balances the loads and you would have equalized temps not to mention a way plusher and killer ride.
@@ShockTherapyllc thank you for the input. And yes i will be having you guys do work on them. Maybe replace them all together. Not really a fan of the needle shocks
I have a 2023 Polaris RZR trail 900 50 inch wide it came with 26 by 8 and in rear had 26 by 9 by 12 and I went to a 29 * 9 * 14 dirt Commander 2.0, stock tire was 23 1/2 lb and I think the dirt Commander weighed in at 30, should I get a different CLUTCH kit
not sure if you guys will answer but what happens if you extend the threaded part ? Let’s say by welding same size thread pitch rod then reinforcing by welding a metal sheath over the joint ? Thank you
@@ShockTherapyllc thank you for your insight and knowledge. The rod ends are going into a machined rear upper control arm. Not sure how I could extend the mating surface 🤒
Could you guys compare these to the new fox shocks that are offered for the pro R that came out few months ago? Trying to dial in what I really want to replace my walkers with
The blackhawks have some cool features. But not all of them are tunable by us yet due to parts and tools. At this point the Fox Shock is better when it comes to dialing it in for your needs.
So 16.5" ride height in the rear with four grown men in the car?? Really curious what the height is without the guys in the car......I bet that thing looks like a "monster truck".....
I watch a lot of videos, and I still don't think I did it right. I have 8in between the springs in the rear end. They seem really tight. I read that was factory recommended. What is your recommendation?
Never tie down to suspension components & Make sure straps are not twisted. It’s always a good idea to have a strap running from front of sxs to front trailer as a safety strap.
@@JayGeeJayok. If you look back a couple years you will find a lot of our videos that will help you. Any A arm design topic like scrub radius, camber curves, anti dive will apply to your L arm too.
