So given most of the rest of the world got 2021 models, does that mean other countries didn't get those emission camshafts and they were a special US market thing?
Dude, ur awesome, i learned alot, thanx man i absolutely appreciate, ive worked on cars since i been 16 (58now) ive never worked on a clutch ,so im workin on a suzuki intruder 700 frame 800 engine, very new to motorcycles, theyre quite a bit different, ive spent the last 5 yrs figurin out the wiring, i had it runnin an asked a buddy to hook up the taillite, i turned around 2 minutes later an he had all the wires from under the seat pulled out ,literally looked like a birds nest,an he cut pretty much half the wiring, the guy that owned put different wires that didnt match factory, i get that, gotta use wut ya have at times, so anyway finally got the thing runnin an pretty good i think ,the clutch wont engage,i havent been able to find anything remotely on how the clutch works, i was pretty sure i undrrstood, an thanks to u i was right, hard to know how something worx when ya dont have any ideal how it worx..lmao .ur a lifesaver. Thanks bro
It doesn't. The additional oxygen helps heat the catalytic converter, so it can burn more impurities. This has nothing to do with additional performance.
@@BrockDavidson interesting! though, still, fresh air helps it heat up? i never had chemistry but... that sounds weird to me still! i currently removed the EGR on my Suzuki GS500F , tried to start it up, but forgot the ports that go directly to the exhuast! Hence i came here, since there is no diagram on it, and i must say, im learning :D
Please tell me which motorcycle will be faster and at the same time more reliable? Kawasaki ZX10R, Honda CBR 1000rr, Suzuki gsx-r1000, BMW s1000rr or Yamaha R1?
"faster"...all out top speed? 60-160? Drag strip? From a reliability stand, all are excellent - so that should not sway your decision, IMHO. It's really a matter of personal preference.
Thank goodness motorcycle exhaust manufacturers are saving children from making the mistake of buying a toaster on two wheels. But seriously, where are all the disposal facilities that can handle EV battery waste? Furthermore, are the majority of fire departments across the land capable of dealing with the extremely hazardous waste or very dangerous fires that can come from an EV in an accident? And, nonetheless, EV battery production is quite detrimental to the environment. Yup, I'm that guy...
@@BrockDavidsongreat answer except if it was gravity alone it'd fall to the same side, because that is the side the bike is already leaning towards. How about a real answer now?
The kickstand that was on it didn't allow it to lean to the left it was basically standing straight up... There was no one around it in the room when it decided to fall the opposite way of the kickstand. So I would guess ghosts or gravity, but being the type of person I am I'm just going to stay with gravity.
G'day Brock. Great video thank you.I have a 2023 GSXS750 that has a slip on muffler but stock headers with the Cat. It has just been tuned. It was tuned with the pair blocked of course. I have removed the plug in the Pair line and it idles a bit smoother and I am getting bangs and pops on decel. The decel fuel cut is also switched off. Should it still do this with the Cat not removed? Will it damage anything? Thanks.
That looks exactly like the clutch the 2009 Concours 14 uses. How many frictions and steels does it have? My 2009 C14 has 8 steels and friction which is one less steel and friction than the same year ZX14, and I burn the clutch out constantly (wheelie it multiple times every ride). So I'm actually working on swapping the clutch assembly over to the 09 ZX14 clutch. I did reserach, bought a used zx14 complete clutch assembly and compared the two. Turns out we have to keep the same basket, and just replace the inner hub and pressure plate and clutch pack. Then there is one issue: I also have to have a sleeve made for the nut to bolt against because the splines on the clutch shaft are longer on the C14 than the zx14. To make that, I have an extra part (BUSHING 92028-1934) and will use it and turn it down on a lathe to the right length to put the bolt back on correctly, so I need to go borrow someone's lathe. Other than that one thing it's a simple swap for a stronger clutch. Edit: well hit another snag; because the clutch shaft is longer the pressure plate won't seat; I'll have to weld up a piece to the hub and machine a new face for the pusher to press against that is set out around 3/8". Darn that makes it a bit more complicated, but at least I can do it without making the original parts not work.
The overreaching EPA always goes after an easy target, and the one that has the least impact on any so called "air pollution". Some of these government agencies need to be looked at in a realistic light,to see if they are really necessary.
Aren't these just Gen 2 cams? If so would you see more of an increase in power by doing 2 intake cams? I know you're doing this to make the Busa more competitive for SS but if you were just looking for more drop in power would 2 Gen 2 intake cams be a better mod?
A dead battery doesn't have enough cranking amperage to allow the starter to work without "kicking back"... This kickback is what breaks the cover, not the fact that the battery itself is low. .
The difference is? No stacks or short stack? Depends ! +/-on the Dyno ? No ram air flow, but get two leaf blowers test it again on the Dyno!! No stacks & short stacks! ☺️😉👍🏼 sincerely yours, Terry Ernst
Leaf blowers and any other items that falsely force a much higher air speed into the bikes ram air are useless. The proper way to read the difference in air/fueling at speed is via lambda sensor in the exhaust while logging throttle position, engine RPM at a minimum. Dyno operators who falsely promote simulated ram air that create conditions that do not exist in the real world are doing the owner a disservice, IMHO.
I bought my first busa and it seems like we have the same problem. My busa is miss firing when I’m on the highway my bikes won’t go past 110mph it starts to choke up and won’t go any faster it seems like your a true professiona! it’s awesome I see a video m from someone who knows what they are talking about. Btw I’m definitely subscribing to ur channel. I look forward to your next projects, a little suggestion don’t over talk keep it was short as you can because alot of times ppl watching ur videos are in the middle of doing the same project and they might be frustrated and are looking at you for answers asap you help us all with fixing our own bikes and save of thousands of dollars 😅thanks again you will be hearing from me a lot lol 😂
@brocks performance hello i put a 750 engine into my gsr 600 after that engine broke down . the bike sparks but it backfires or misfires alot . please any help i have changed the downcoil, pulse generator but still misfiring
That's not something that can be diagnosed in a RU-vid message. I can tell you that it sounds like the ignition pickup between the two are different. Best of luck.

mate, this has been one of the most informative video's i'v ever seen about the busa <3 it has learned me alot of stuff about the bike that would require hands on to learn otherwise and has tought me a better understanding the signals my bike gives me! thanks a Ton man!
Hey brother. If I'm not mistaken, the EU has stricter emissions regs than CA does. It ain't our fault. And on top of that , I can ride to work, every day. Har har.
**WE** aren't special...California thinks it is, so they make up their own rules and expect the rest of the country to follow suit. Here's a recent example: bit.ly/4eCpjTs
This helped, and I have the same issues to investigate and correct. I've seen the Brock name for years - these video(s) legitimize your brand. They're proof that you're the real deal and that you stand behind all your parts - the claims, the engineering, and so on. I'm a DIY mechanic, so what I save in labor, I put back into parts and tools. Having a mostly stock bike but slightly lowered in the front, the adjustable kickstand is on the list. The billet pins, thumbs up. Whatever else comes along the way, Brocks just got put on the shortlist. The Suzuki Bond, gasoline treatment, gasket recommendations, torque specs, and the tips and techniques of a master, no matter how beginner they are- all of it is priceless. Thank you! I'm sure your dogs appear in other videos, but give them prime time. Pet ownership has interesting benefits that many don't realize, but they subconsciously identify with other owners who share the experience. This increases your audience's attention span and your RU-vid subscribership, which circles back to the Brock brand. OK, going back to the garage.
Thank you for the kind words. We have two Shepard's, both are perfonal protection dogs. My wife's big male is level 3 trained. Off leash verbal and non verbal commands will keep just about anyone from acting foolish around her. Any other time, both dogs are amazing pets and love to be around our grandchildren. I'll keep your recommendations for giving them both some additional air time in the future.
Right on I message the brocks whatsapp yesterday asking the same question. I bought the mod kit and had it over nighted just the other day. Thanks for the response. One more question I understand it's takes some adjusting to get your clutch feel where u want it but should the clutch feel so tight. Like normally if it's in gear not running I can clutch and move it pretty easy now you gotta but some force into. I've been pulling 1.60 60 footers running 6.23 at 120 and a 9.50 at 148 with a factory wheelbase. Only thing that's been done is I've bought the lowering window link, raised my forks. I just went to a 46/16 set up and I'm hoping with your mod I can down to a 6.0 oh yeah I pulled the muffler off like u did on the dyno for the extra 3 ponys lol your videos have been key man. Thanks from one drag racer to another.
Exactly which bike are we talking about? Yes, the lever pull will usually get 10-15% former with most of our kits. It does get severe with our cushion install though. It's difficult for me to answer fully without knowing which bike we're talking about.
Ok. So our conversion kit. Lever pressure is only increased by 25-20%. If yours feels like more than that, you might want to readjust the cable and throwout. If it's still too tough, check your stack height.
Brock you are truly one of the best tuners out there honest and you don't play game's with your business telling costumers what's going on I have a lot of friends in the business and they are too busy for 10 minutes of there time to explain what's taking so much time for products in delivery...and I've seen a true slow down in business because of that lazy Not truly keeping up with customers concern's.....so please stay true too what you love.... Brock's performance is truly one of a kind........and this is Not a paid review this is the God's honest truth.........
WOW! Thank you for the kind words. From the very beginning our roots were based on honesty and treating everyone as fairly and respectfully as possible. We aren't perfect, but that doesn't mean we don't try. Thanks again for the kind words, I will pass this on to out team. Sincerely, Brock.
I think losing will always matter to me. But from a general riding standpoint, I agree. In fact, some of my favorite bikes to ride are 100+ hp down from my faster bikes.
