On this channel, I help leaders build meaningful relationships and connect every time they speak.
After years of interviewing leaders, athletes, philanthropists and celebrities, the one clear commonality has been that we all crave human connection. But how do we build those authentic relationships? What are the most powerful questions we can ask? How can we tell our stories in a way that captures attention and inspires others to take action?

have been afraid of public speaking as long as I can remember. I have dropped out of school and lost a lot of opportunities because I was too afraid to speak. I'm scared to talk to authority or speak in front of people because my mind goes blank. My heart beats so fast and my mouth goes dry. Then after that I get very very depressed and think of suicide because I felt like a failure. I don't want this to control my life. I did toast masters today and it was so hard. Very hard for me but I forced myself to. I know the fear is irrational but it impacts my life and my body and my mind . After toast masters I got depressed for reasons I don't know. I'm going to go again. It's like I'm walking into the danger to overcome it. I see potential to present. I see hope to give a speech some day. I'm so so so scared but I have to .
While taking a speech class in college. Required for nursing of all things... We had a welding student too, ridiculous. I had a montra. The the F's. They ain't financing me, feeding me or *ucking me so I don't care they think. Worked.
Short and to the point. Loved this video and the information that was shared is super-valuable. Can't wait to include these tips in my next presentation.
Thank you for the information and help. I have a impromptu speech in about a week and im finally getting the flow of how to transition from preview to reason to example and etc. My question is how do i make a proper knowledge map when practicing are there specific topics you would suggest for impromptu, because i am finding a hard time linking my niches to my reasons and examples section. My niches are/were Sports, Anime, & Greek mythology. Im sorry to spam but im desperate thanks for your time Riaz.
Don't miss 4.06, a great example incorporating everything a 30 secs hook needs! Some of us beginners like me will take some time to 'accept' and 'blend it to our new 'authentic-self'. When you started in your TV and presnting career, how you adapted to this tips? was it by trial and error or you had a coach to give the best framework right off the bat? Thanj you Riaz for yet another valuable video!
