I just followed your instructions this afternoon (7/6/2024) on my 07 Sienna and was able to change my speed sensor within 30 minutes. What took me the longest was trying to take out some old rusted screws that were holding on to the air filter clamp for dear life, lol. The original sensor was a little tough to take out to but with a little twisting and turning, it finally came out. Once those screws and original sensor came out, the new sensor was installed easily and it was really easy to put it all back together again. Thank you for recording this video for the general population. You saved me a few hundred dollars!
Thanks for sharing! Because of your video I was able to know which part to order & how to fix our same issues on our 2007 Sienna. lt looks like it's easy enough that I can attempt it myself. I got the parts ordered & now just have to go to Walmart & get the tool set. Very helpful!
Make sure you get the set that has the T 30 star. Or you may already have a replacement tool laying around at home, the Ikea Allen key works sometimes if it's the right size. try it on the front door first and let us know
No, this service mode is for the engine (for diagnostic and after oil change to circulate the oil through the new filter). For Toyota newer models equipped with EPB (Electronic Emergency parking brakes), you need to put the EPB in service mode (to move the EPB out of the way in order to replace the rear pads, it has its own procedure that requires you to push/ pull the parking brake button multiple time in certain sequence, or use a scan tool ( I used XTool 7). I recommend you watch CAR CARE NUT video to understand what I'm saying. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--Y1U8Iw88iA.htmlsi=dDWtAXRLcwd8yXZd
Thanks for your video! I was able to fix the mechanism but I wasn’t able to slide the cover off. It was stuck to the oven at the front and sides. I had to almost peel it off at the front. It still wouldn’t slide off toward the back. When I try to put the cover back on there are big gaps at both sides. I think I ruined it for good but not sure. Anyone else have this problem? 😢
As far as the door slides shut , the cover does not affect the functionality of the oven. The cover only protects the slider on the left side and other components on the right. Yes, sliding the cover is more harder in heavily used ovens since oil vapors turns into glue. Also you need to make sure you removed all the screws required for this job, 3+3 at the bottom, 2+2 on both sides, and a ton of tiny screw at the back. I assume you bent the sliding tabs/tongues that slides behind the front sides of the oven, in this case you may need extra hands to fit them in while pushing the cover back in place. good luck
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!!! I didn’t even have to buy a new fob I just paused the video on the instruction sheet and followed the steps and it works again. Once again THANK YOU!!🙌🏾🙌🏾
I did not mention in the video that you need to be aware of the VVT sensor socket in the back near the back coils , beware of ripping it off like I did. There was no video to warn when I did it but now we have: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JoS28JFa9A4.htmlsi=ivxWO11Qm21TuG_D
great information, i just disconnected the harness on the passenger side, i think it was not completely plugged. Re-plugged and the airbag flashing disappeared. Thanks and God Bless.
Oh my goodness, thank you so so much! This worked exactly how it did in your video. I was so happy to see it stop flashing. Now can you please help me how to fix my sliding door that won’t completely close?? Eight 2006 Toyota sienna The starboard electronic sliding door does not work and I just have to have it closed and locked but the back is still open and you could almost see the outside through the crack.
The best video so far I found for sliding doors is for Car Care Nut. He is a Toyota mechanic. This is the video where he explains everything ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-j0hirBoBBos.htmlsi=ADY-6AWHGBZtNor4
Thank you!! Oh sure -- I still "played hell" getting that two-piece cover off. The small 'back piece' came off with a BANG, and flew across the cabin, and put a nice cut in my 'pointing finger' (nothing that a bang-aid couldn't plug up),. But thanks to your description of the cover after removal, it flew off without ANY damage! Your video was VERY helpful in pointing out WHERE to pry and apply force... And that was; to pull DOWN on that 'snap-in' end of the small piece first.. The "two tabs". I owe you a 12 pack, mate!
my viper 711 single button remote will not activate,i can hear clicking when i try to sync both fobs but when i shutt the door and single press i get nothing,if i double press my foglights and tail lights flash but single press i get nothing?????
That depends on the original installation programing which this video does not cover. every installation is different depending on the options chosen on the day the device is installed. In my case, my device is not connected to the horn or the hood.
This video is short and for showing some tricks. Here is a full video from a professional: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ING-RK7NJ-c.htmlsi=TjvH51kpbPj5Okpl
Unfortunately this trick works only for Vans that never been in an accident. It only helps to reset the signals that get interrupted because those yellow plugs are exposed to elements. Mine came back few weeks ago, and I checked with a scanner, it looks like I need to change the yellow plugs because the pins are so corroded. But it looks like I'm going to live with that flashing light.
That's true, but I sprayed the old part only which was going to the trash. The new part comes with a new O ring, and I cleaned before installing. Thanks for the comment.
Thank you , this is the help I needed I haven’t fixed my wife’s remote start yet but I am pretty sure your installer installed hers with no valet button making it hard to reset , thank you sir I now know where to start
using a suction syringe, remove some of the coolant out of the reservoir to the level between the upper hose and the lower hose. start the car on EV mode to activate the pump and watch the coolant flowing out of the top hose. and that confirms that the inverter coolant pump is working, because the sound of the pump by itself does not confirm that it's doing enough circulation. in NEWER Toyota hybrid models, it is hard to see the turbulence inside the reservoir comparing to the older Toyota Hybrid models.
I have the 7111P version. The instructions in the video weren't working but the following worked for me 1 OPEN DOOR 2 TURN KEY TO 2ND POSITION 3 TURN KEY TO OFF AND REMOVE KEY 4 CLICK BUTTON ONE TIME WITH NO HOLD You will see the blinkers flash 9 times then it should be reprogrammed
Hello. I tried reprogramming the remote to my car but all I hear is clicks inside the car from the device. Not sure if I’m doing something wrong. Have any ideas what could be my problem?
I'm not sure because I'm not a professional installer. In my case the system was fully functional except the clicker button as shown. I did not buy a new clicker till I made sure it's only the clicker that was acting up. I posted this video when I could not find a video that shows how to program a clicker to replace a broken or lost one. You may try to check the wiring that is going out of the box, sorry I can't help more.
Same one that went out on mine and I just changed it 2 yrs ago with an eBay pulley. Idler pulleys and tensioner pulleys are terrible on 08 and up 3.5 L. I’ve owned many Toyotas and Lexus prior to 06 04 02 00 98 95 94 90 yrs and never had any ever go bad they had at least 190,000 miles on all of them or in the 300,000 range. This Rex 350 has given me so much grief.
