UK Artist and teeny Etsy seller. Hey there, my name is Laura. This channel used to be called Loose Screws Crafts, and has been changed to Loose Sculls Crafts to reflect my Etsy shop name change, too. The entire handle was Jar Of Loose Skulls.
This is a dedicated channel to mixed media and other crafty experiments including resin. I love trying new things, thus there'll probably be mistakes and learning here - it's all part of the fun.
I love gothic, steampunk, spooky/horror/Halloween/witchy and dark themes, but of course I'll try any style as long as it's fun.
I'm originally a freelance artist/illustrator and storyboarder from the UK.
Hi Laura… I’m not sure if you were trying to think of the ‘dirty pour’ method… but that’s what it looked like to me?!? And, if it is, then it is probably the first dirty pour that I have liked!! And that’s the honest truth… I have seen so many of them done but I just can’t, for the life of me, see the beauty that so many others see! I don’t know what it is about this little heart, but it is beautiful… none of the colours muddied and they all complimented each other so well. I don’t think you over did the gold at all. I’ve never done a dirty pour myself, and never had the desire to, until now! So, I’ve jotted down the colours you used and I’m off to buy a little heart mould from Temu! And I love Kim’s idea of using them as keepsakes for a wedding! My daughter, and her beautiful girlfriend will be getting married one day soon and I’m hoping they like the idea as much as I do!?! 😁 Much love from Nat. (Brisbane, Australia) ♥️♥️🇦🇺

That was it! Dirty pour, I don't know why my brain just couldn't think of the name. It's one of those words that disconnects because 'dirty' doesn't seem right. And I'm really happy you like the colours I used, I'm very picky about colours and colour combos! Oh congrats to your daughter and her wonderful wife to be! I think using these as keepsakes and name placements is a fantastic idea, I hope your daughter agrees! Have fun if you get the go ahead : ) Thank you so much, Nat!
Hi there - the little orange tool came with the set of pigment dyes, in fact the set comes with several of them. But I've seen people use thumbtack/corkboard pins and even sewing pins, if that's of help?
@@looseskullsscrafts no kidding… it's one of the things about me that drives me crazy… I’m also severely ADD and I will start one project and another and another and another etc…. I have like 6 different projects ongoing right now as we speak… I don’t know WHY I ca t finish one thing before I start something else!
@@ZippedUpKitz Is is something to do with the brain needing to be constantly stimulated with new things? I don't have as many projects as you on the go but I seem to need at least 2, even when I'm stupidly busy lol.
Hi guys, please forgive my absence - I had enough time in my busy schedule to get this last review video out for Beebee Craft - who have been so patient with me, many thanks and apologies! Please find the previous video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KGDS5M-D21s.htmlsi=DV-dnQUaDXue1dU1
Possibly- I always keep a watch on resin with a depth and I never noticed any disturbance on the surface while it was curing. But.. doesn’t mean it didn’t.
Squishy molds tend to expand when the resin begins to heat up as its curing, best to always dome quite a bit until just before the resin can spread over the edge 😊 As for the imperfections, seems quality control has become a thing of the past 😑 The skulls came out well 😊
Those earrings are fabulous 😍 such a shame about the ghost mold, his little nubby arms are so cute. I'm going to Cornwall on the 15th!! Have a great time 😁❤️🤗
The ghosts are cute. Shame about the imperfections on the mold that's a shame. Bubbles do come from heatmatt I get them when the resin cures too quickly. I started letting my resin sit for a couple of hours before adding to the heat mat and it solved the issue... Great work tho x
Definitely a shame. I’ve seen too many Beebeecraft mold failures. I think they need to rethink their mold making practices. You made a great effort. Fault is with Beebeecraft company.
Thank you. I talk quite fast in normal conversation and it’s not always clear, so I do slow it down for videos, glad it’s understandable. Thank you for watching ✨
I have that fish mould - I'd forgotten I had it and haven't had a chance to do any resin stuff yet, but great to see how it looks demoulded. That black and gold is lovely!
