I agree to some degree with his take on love. Yes, love isn't without boundaries. It definitely involves teaching and guiding. However, God's love isn't controlling. He tells you what he expects and believes will develop into a better person, but he also gives us our freedom to choose and learn sometimes through experience. He's encouraging and empowering, but not overly controlling. He also allows people a great deal of flexibility in personality and cultural differences in how they approach life. He expects us to use our own judgement and think for ourselves. That's part of the growing process. A good father knows this.
Tate is a courageous person. He's the perfect warrior. He's the guy you'd want on the battle field with you. However, the criticism that he's insensitive is evident not just in problem solving, but in understanding others and their weaknesses. He has trouble with forgiveness and compassion. He is fighting everyone to win. If you come to him with a weakness, he wouldn't value your worth beyond what advantageous he can exploit from you. The worth of an individual is measured by his courage and strength. I think he has a lot to offer people today because he absolutely obliterates the victim mentality. He embraces loyalty and fulfilling promises. But he fails to recognise the value of the virtue and strength of forgiveness.
I love this interaction very much but I have to put it out there - Your inner worth and your worthiness of time is not dictated by societies measurements of success. Give me the "guy at mcdonalds" over the president any day. That whole judgment in itself is a twisted mentality.
I don't know but i think that he didn't go for 93 days in jail because if that was real how can you come out of it kinda the same person he is. Arrogant and insecure but he does have a high level of determinism and discipline

Loved your questions and the way you dealt with him. I felt his pain and massive fear that he soothes with irrational thinking (which is not analytic), the coping mechanism developed as a child. It's so sad that he does not understand that most people try to rationalize and give meaning where there is none. It takes truly an exceptional brain to accept the lack of control and non-causality in our existence. He is caged by his own feelings and has no ability to detach so he can see the true spectrum of life. He says the same things over and over again, lacks vocabulary and real human experience. Verbosity can't substitute for the lack of arguments. Intelligent people are concise and original. I hope to God he has no major influence over his kids. I bet that if he gets a MRI, you might see some major damage done to his amygdala from fighting. Bottom of the line, he isn't exceptional at all: there are richer people, better fighters, and more famous RU-vidrs. His self-improvement theories aren't even new. He spews some half-truths that he can comprehend. Confidence should show him when is wrong and ridiculous.
This dude has no clue why good people don't like him. He thinks people are jealous for not being able to enjoy his teenage dream of having hot girls and cool cars, but most men who actually embody real, healthy masculinity aren't trying to be a teenager and they aren't jealous. They're trying to bring Tate into adulthood, to actually BE a man, not a boy.
He is definitely Muslim. He carries the muslin narcissistic ego of the general men population. Yet... It is so easy to see through a child that was not shown on both sides of love... Is lack of understanding that love towards a kid is as he says conditional yet not unaffectionate. He gained my pity, twisted mind that wasn't shown love in its totality. 😢

It would be nice to see Andrew open up a little bit more on round 3. I know everyone is in different levels in their journey but, it would be nice if he allows himself to feel and get in touch with that inner boy, with his needs and wants at that time of his life. He seems to neglect him as his father unconsciously maybe did.
