My car also making noise in the front. And when u slowing down the steering wheel is shaky. We thought it was the alignment but it was not. The man at the shop guessed was the rotor. But we’ll see. We gonna let them check my car next week if it's the rotors or bearing.
I got a 05 nissam sentra with 400k miles on original motor amd trans and it was sticking closed and not letting me pump gas fast then i drove ot more afte i dodnt drive it for almost a yr and it started letting me pump gas but now i think its stucl open and its showing large evap leak so i think that valve is all it is thats kicking the codes on.
I just bought a 95 with 44k. I withdrew some anti freeze and its pretty gritty and dirty, but how clean should it be and how long does it really take for the coolant to get some what dirty. How clean can the system really be after flushing it. My 2000 Accord has clear fluid with nice green color, it is a aluminum block though. I need to add to the Vet but maybe it needs a full flush instead. I hate to flush it then find out a month later the coolant is the same dirty looking no matter what, Thanks
@ozzstars_cars almost perfect shape. Runs great. Just needs fluids replaced from time. I scheduled a flush in a few weeks at a local. Shop. Got it topped off and no air in system until then Thanks
Ive been hearing a noise similar to like plastic hitting the tire especially when I go on an exit. And i can't figure out what it'd be. Just saw sum tears in the tire but idk what couldve caused that and idk if it is whats causing the noise. Google and RU-vid isn't helping me😭
I purchased Hyundai OEM from Rockauto. They didn't have any grease in them and one was as bad loose as one i was replacing. I ended up reusing the good one i just took off. It has 293k miles on it.
My truck will start with bypassing the solenoid but after changing it for a new one i still only can start with bypassing. Any suggestions? I'm thinking keyswitch...
What could be the cause of finding fuel in the upper plenum? Right behind the throttle body there was petrol smelling liquid inside the hole in the plenum.
Awesome video. I just finished this job. Give yourself a favor, don't try to get away with just removing one motor mount. I tried it 😅. You need to loosen up both motor mounts the front and right side engine mounts as well as the mount on the rear by the right side axle shaft.. you will be thankful you did. Also, since you are already there replace the thermostat and o-ring. It's a common leaking part. I'm not sure if the video covered this, it is recommended to put a white tread seal ( not lock tie) on the long bolts, or silicone, because it threatens onto the engine block.
Old guy here, trying to save some money. Your video convinced me that I could do this job with some help from my son. All went well thanks to your tips. BTW in 2024 the gasket was hard to find, be careful to compare video to what is being sold! Santa Fe 2013 -with 99K- all plugs looked about the same-worn but not terrible. Also saw your video on the PCV valve, so we did that too-maybe it will help with oil consumption. Cleaned throttle body. THANK YOU!
2:34 Excellent video. While removing the pliers I dropped it behind the motor somewhere. So take extra caution when removing them. Great tip though! Thanks for making this video, it was really useful!
Glad the video was helpful to you! Not fun when your tool falls into the abyss. I have a few magnetic pickup tools that make fishing them out much easier. Here's a handy kit amzn.to/3L2pGZZ
@@ozzstars_cars I bought a used 2018 F150 5.0 FX4 Short box Supercrew with 50,000 miles in August 2024. Always Ford Dealer Serviced since new from Customer Paperwork and Carfax. I recently noticed oil consumption, big time just before booking its next service. Very low actually. Any advice on this situation would be very very appreciated brother. Please🙏🏾 Also, I live in Nova Scotia, Canada 🇨🇦
Good tips but I need to see someone install a serpentine belt on a Ridgeline. Very small hand space to work. Why did you take the ground bracket off? Wrench space?
The first test you do around 4:45 (positive battery terminal to left post on solenoid), if you dont get voltage, what do you think the issue is? I previously had voltage, replaced the solenoid and starter, and still didnt start, not upon checking this again I no longer get voltage on that test. As far as I can tell, my grounds are fine, relays are fine, fuses are fine, and connections are clean. I just get 1 hard click when trying to start followed by a smaller soft click somewhere else. Battery reads proper volts and wont start with jump pack.
@@ozzstars_cars The starter was a brand new bosch starter, and I am having the exact same issue as previously with the old starter, just 1 hard click. However, I did have voltage on the first test mentioned before swapping the starter. At this point I need to cross the bridge of getting power to the left side of the fender solenoid again. I did a few ground tests earlier and all seemed fine, will have to lookup if I missed something.
So I just used the same puller to pull mine had the same problem with it being rounded however I just tightened it so tight that I bent the handle and out it came. I had actually tried the bread first but couldn't get it
One question though, what you do when cutting the end of the butyl tape? Do you have to put something between the ends so it seals up or when you press it down onto the cab will it squeeze out a bit and seal?
It's a shame that after 9 years since you uploaded this video replacements are not available anymore, I guess I'll have to stick with my leaky window :(.
I know engine engineering is very advance and complex but is it me that things are built so much cheaply (not cheaper) made? I never dreamed I would ever see so much of the engine especially manifold being built using plastic???
Hiya, so I tried doing the update following your procedure, and it looked like everything was going OK. The engine fan even revved up at the beginning like it did for you. But, 30 minutes later, it said the update failed to load, and one of the reasons it mentioned was (maybe) lack of space. This was all prompted by an "entertainment unavailable" message when you go to turn the radio on. Everything else seemed to work until I tried to make a phone call, it connects to the cellphone, but you don't get any audio. I've worked my entire career in electronics (now retired), and I HATE all this new microprocessor powered c-r-a-p..... :-) I guess I'll have to buy a new electronics module for it :-(
Nice video! The tips for making plugs for the brake lines are great. I recently replaced the front to rear 3/16 tube on a 2001 Dakota. The tube nuts and flares were bubble flares. The bubble flare tube nuts have no thread at the tip and a 90 degree interface to the tube. Double or inverted flares have threads to the tip and a 45 degree interface to the tube flare.
