You make me mad, becaus of you my standards for reaction channels are really high haha Now i only enjoy 3 reaction channels out of hundreds because of how good yours is
What a great day Pitou grew to me one of my favorite characters from the arc, and the whole anime in general. The character development in this anime is amazing in general
The King has some subtext already, He was the first Ant not hatched from an egg but birthed like a human. He remembers being in the womb, he reflects positively on the delicious meals he experienced there, and he let Colt go who he knew was scrambling for a way to save the Queen's life. Already I think deep down he cares about his mother.
Are we waiting for you to finish Hunter Hunter or something before you get back to these? I've been looking forward to seeing you continue Doctor Who. Getting this far and stopping is wild.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the way he said "I hunger.", like, if you're hungry, both "I'm hungry." and "I hunger." are grammatically correct ways of putting it, with "I hunger" being more old-fashioned.
Yes ^^ The royal guards and the King use very old sustained language that was used in ancient royal court and that modern Japanese people don't use anymore
Man just listening your discussion about Gyro only confirms how anime did him dirty. And also created plothole(it’s too soon to say what exactly but you have already noticed it). I hope at one point people from Patreon will explain you changes from manga in all details
@@basedarsonist28:58 spoiler alert I guess. He said he never heard about Gyro since episode 80 and he thinks that maybe he is part of the King because when he was eaten queen couldn’t give birth to anyone else. And he is right. And that’s where anime created plothole. Welfin and Ikalgo were part of Gyro’s crew and they were born. Which is impossible in anime timeline. But in manga they were eaten long before Kite arrived in NGL. Gon and Killua spent a whole month with him in Kakin helping with his job while in anime he already finished it and learned about queen(he didn’t know about her in manga). This also makes Kite stupid because he returned to Kakin after he found queen’s arm in yorknew just to meet Gon because he meet him there in manga lol. So as you can see in manga queen actually has a big amount of time to build nest and destroy Gyro before starting her pregnancy with King. And because of that purposely or not but anime mislead you to think that Gyro is part of King while in manga we actually see him as an ant. He walked in the same city while Gon and Killua trained to defeat Knucle and Shoot. He recalled all his memories and his will was so strong that he freed himself from queen. And that guy about to start his own revenge to this world from scratch. He didn’t show himself since and he is clearly a setup for the future but manga actually gave you that answer that this character not a part of this arc anymore at least physically because well you know further plot
@@knightcommander5694thanks for the amazing detailed explanation. I've always been confused about Gyro and how he's connectednto the arc. Now that you said it, it makes so much sense for Gyro to be a future villain in another arc. He would be such a good villain with his strong backstory and now even stronger chimera ant body.
Great analysis and interesting predictions. What an introduction to the chimera ant king. Side note, the shot with the silhouettes of the king and his guards landing on the field is hauntingly brilliant, it's been stuck in my mind since I first saw it. Of course this show is full of such fantastic cinematography though.
In all fairness Pitou should not have spoken. Pouf and Youpi kept their silence and did not get bitch slap. Just leave the irritable infant alone 😔 and all is well. Pitou is the oldest of the siblings, it makes sense she feels it's her duty to look out for the king(the youngest infant) and her other siblings.
the King is demanding, but he earns it. He was born to be King, and he acts like one. The King at this point is an infant, with immense power. Infants are irritable and hungry, if all infants has this kind of power they would also kill their moms. Being in the womb for that long is irritating and suffocating. It makes total sense that someone with this much innate power will break out and annihilate the mom that imprison him and suffocate him. 😂 Also he has no morals, infants have no morals. They will learn good and evil later and become boring drones. The King is wild, true to himself and always speaks what he feels. He means every single word that come out of his mouth. He has no pretense. I love that ❤❤❤❤
I absolutely love how you connected Gon's emotions here to Gon's emotions in the Hunter Exam. I don't see that often! And because you're 5 episodes ahead on Patreon, I feel safe adding some of my own commentary about the next episodes: during that conversation Gon had with Kurapika on the airship, he mentioned that his way of coping was finding someone to help. When Hisoka beat him up and he was miserable, he threw himself into helping Leorio find enough tags to pass the phase. And in these next episodes, when he's essentially on timeout after a really ego-destroying loss, what does Gon promise to do? Well... we all know LOL Your arrangement of the thumbnails this time around was very creative. Love these videos and very excited to watch the upcoming discussions :3 <3
You know, as much as I appreciate a consistent schedule, it's kinda fun not knowing when the next episode is gonna drop and be surprised. It feels like a fun bonus to my day! 😊

I recommend reading chapter 204 in the manga for some info that the anime omitted regarding Gyro. You are well past the events of that chapter in the anime already.
I Love how Knuckle is written. Every episode we get a new layer to the guy. First he's introduced as an agressive bonehead, then some comedic relief mixed in, then his compassionate and moral side, then finally his true strength and abilities. And all of these qualities stay there. They are all a part of him. 25:32 "For some reason I keep thinking about Roy Batty" Yeah, I think that should just always be assumed at this point :D
