I have been fortunate see the great seventies teams and then the steamroller eighties teams that produced The Greatest Full Forward Of All Time ( Dunstall) . The the most recent Three Peat ( should have been four ) . But since the kneeling of all of the AFL and Hawthorn bowing to the BLM I canceled my membership and have not watched a game since . The Political State Of The AFL has ruined the game .
Mason Wood went from being on the scrap heap to being a top 5 winger last year. Tyson Stengle also delisted by the crows went on to become AA at Geelong.
Feel free to re-edit this, now that the allegations have been announced to have been unfounded after two independent investigations. Just a small group of people trying to put a stain on what is the greatest sporting club in the history of Australia.
Three points regarding the 2023 GF. 3 points, hmmm, funny that. One of Brisbane's first quarter goals resulted from Lion player turning over the ball from a Mason Cox mark or free (can't remeber) in their forward line. The Lions player was CLEARLY within the protected area and HAD TO BE to even get close to Cox while he was attempting to kick it. Subtract that goal from Lions score and this advantage bullshit becomes irelevent. Also, a CLEAR free kick in the centre (to Nick Daicos I think) wasn't paid as 2 umpiues looked at each other to see which would pay it, niether did. This was clear enough for the commentry team to notice. Last point, COL-LING-WOO-OOD! After the siren: given the times the Pies were robbed in GF's, keep crying Lions fans. We're happy to provide you some of our tissues.
Mate how on earth can you describe Daniher's mark in the opening game an 'unbelievable pack mark' ? You need to watch more footy or stop overstating standard marks in footy. Or perhaps believe more things. lol.
Wow mate, I guess I’m just more of a skeptic than you are perhaps. Or maybe perhaps when close games come down to the last minute you’d consider a pack mark with 3 opposition players around you to be somewhat ‘unbelievable’. Anyway, it’s just an adjective mate, don’t get too hung up on a single word some guy uses on a RU-vid video. Cheers for the engagement 😂 and keep on giggling.
suspensions should as others have stated, include the amount of time the other player they injured is unable to play... This should also factor in if a player is injured in the same match they receive a suspension for... Barry Hall is a good example who was rubbed out for a similar time he was injured for anyway... suspensions should start from when they are medically fit to play... this determined by an independent and team doc
It wouldn't have mattered if Rooke hadn't kicked that goal after the siren. If a point had been awarded instead of a goal after Hawkin's hitting the post, Geelong would have won by 1 point. It's really just simple mathematics.
Surely it's now time for a video on the Decline of the Hawthorn Football Club. They are now almost certain to go 8 years in a row without winning a Final. 2016 to 2024 has been one of the worst periods on the history of the Hawthorn Football Club.
Rioli was within his rights to hold his ground and Sheed wasn't in his peripheral vision. Rioli then allowed Sheed to take the mark and kick the winning goal. No question it was fair play and a fantastic set shot
As a neutral I don’t understand the carry on about 1979. The rule states all of the ball needs to be over the line. Clearly it all of the ball was over. I hate Carlton more than Collingwood but on this Collingwood need to build a bride and get over it. With the 2023 GF I believe the 50 paid to Sidebottom was a far more glaring error. It led directly to a goal that gave Collingwood a buffer of more than a goal, and the offence the 50 was paid for had been overlooked ALL SEASON.
