ICUE is complete trash! And it leaves trash files behind on the PC when you update ICUE. What's the point of spending all that money on RGB hardware that you can't control because of a trash software called ICUE. I can't think of any worse software than ICUE...maybe ASUS' Armoury Crate coming in close 2nd. 🤦♂
meh, all their cases are copies, they have an o11 dynamic lookalike, cm h500p mesh lookalike, fractal torrent lookalike, fractal north lookalike, I don't like that
I remember my first PC my dad built for me was in an antec, antec psu too I think, the PSU eventually gave out (was only a bronze) but the case never had any issues including fans, i/o, cd disk port, etc Glad they're making a comeback, if they make some modern retro cases I'd 100% buy one to make my old man a PC, he still talks about how great antec cases were every time we chat about cases
Antec were the GOAT back in the day. I think a lot of my PSUs in my builds were Antecs. And my friend picked up a Lanboy back in the day when we were building his system. I was really impressed with the features vs the typical beige box the rest of us were used to.
I'd like to see someone produce a proper CNC-milled ATX case. These cases are currently only for the SFF market. I don't care if its expensive as I'll probably hold onto it for decades at this point. My current Cosmos case is 15 years old. Something like the one-off Wing X99 art project case would be nice. Anyone up to that?
It’d be really if you guys did a o11 shootout of all the visually similar cases, but actually max out the fans (understand why the normal test suite does not) During the release downturn or sometime. There’s so many reminiscent models now that a ‘maxed out’ fan slot test would be interesting to compare build quality/price
Antec had really nice PSUs back in the day as well and the Lanboy 1 with 550W TruePower PSU lasted me for several years when I ran a Socket A Athlon system.
Good to see they're making a push to come back and be more relevant. Definitely need to come up with some unique ideas in future to set them apart from the rest though. Long road ahead, hope they make it back to the front of the pack.
The person at ASUS in charge of warranty policie slithered out of the abortion bucket 🪣 behind Planned Parenthood. They have been searching for him for decades and they intend on returning that waste of bio matter to its original destination (the furnace at the power plant). So, if anyone knows his whereabouts, please contact Planned Parenthood asap! Help them fix this multi decade mistake!
i am planing to build a gaming PC for myself and was thinking of getting a motherboard from ASUS but i changed my mind, no way i will spend money on anything from ASUS no matter what, they screwed up for good
Still using Antec Three Hundred cases for my home servers. Id have bought a new one for my gaming PC if they were still made and fit modern cards. I'm not a fan of glass. I just want them filtered against pet fluff and with good cooling.
Wahoo! Used to be a big Antec customer. I built computer after computer for friends and business colleagues. Can't wait to see what their new line looks like.
wait antec was not making cases for a long time? then what are they selling in our country for past so many years? they are constantly releasing new cases and its been available here for many years. am i missing something?
I work for an Antec distributor and the quality of Antec PC cases is terrible. The P7 Silent PC case has the RESET connector on the front panel connector replaced with a POWER connector. ← Defect in lot The rear fan of C5 ARGB is a reverse fan. Other than that, there are many scratches, distortions, and defective rivet fasteners throughout the case. It is clear that they have not inspected the product properly. I wish they would raise the price a little more and do a visual check and functional test. Antec is only concerned with making the price low, and they don't think about the PC case at all. Antec is a sloppy manufacturer. I don't understand why Germars Nexus is singing Antec's praises. I strongly recommend that you do not buy an Antec PC case. Antec is a manufacturer that only imitates other popular PC cases.
First ever pc I chose parts for and put together myself was with an Antec 300 and I held onto it for almost 15 years until I got rid of it. It wasn't until it was gone did I realize how amazing it would be for a DIY NAS/homelab and it makes me sad that very few cases out today can support a decent amount of HDD at affordable prices, that being said, Antec actually has their P101 silent that fits the niche. I still have it's box too in case I ever come across another 300. I wish Antec the best going forward.
Not interested in the glass hot-boxes that add tons of light reflection distractions to my desk. The Performance 1M has nice anodized colors and mesh and looks high quality, but is measuring in at 19.29 liters. That is almost Micro ATX size. Might as well move up to a motherboard that doesn't sacrifice so much and that costs less. The handheld seems like a nice size offering, but I wonder about the cooling solution choice. The slide up and keyboard features remind me of old cell phones that I loved. The RGB fans look awesome despite my not being into RGB.
This is different from asus. For me Nintendo is better. Last time I bought a 50$ eshop from an external Shop. With a receipt. But the Code they sent me was already used. I contacted my external supplier. And they supported to me fix the problem.. even nintendo itself is really fast on customer service. Within a day i managed to recieve my 50$ dollar eshop Code. That is thumbs up for me. ❤
I am still using thier "replace immediately" tier PSU, going strong, for now, hope it doesn't explode, have been using my GPU at 1200Mhz 80watts rather than 1755 Mhz 184w.
