Hi! I'm Ben - thank you for viewing my channel! I post teaching videos about Music Theory topics, such as treble clef, bass clef, rhythms, time signatures, key signatures, major/minor scales and music composition. I also post piano lessons. I hope you enjoy the channel!
Here after watching MLP Season 2 finale. There's a song in it where a doppelganger character sings in a deceptive cadence and the real one sings in a perfect cadence and I just had to know what that means lol.
I grew up going to Catholic Church as a kid and have heard hundreds of hymns, which majority of the time end like this! I never knew what the word was for “Picardy Third” until now. I always called it “the satisfying ending” 🤣 thank you for helping me expand my musical vocabulary!
So when I'm riding my lyrics in between the time after the chorus to the next verse I have always labeled as a rest, so that is incorrect? I intended for it to be a time that only the instrumentals played like there was no vocals it was just instrumentals.
