First of all let me say your work on Skyrim is breathtaking and without doubt my goto set of mods. However I wanted to bring to your attention there is a minor problem with it on Xbox. A couple of trees in riverwood, beside the waterfall just next to the bridge never load in right. Half the tree is just a 2D looking cardboard cut out. I'm guessing it's a LOD issue. It doesn't matter what Tree mod I use, its always there. I'm guessing it's a Skyland LOD issue. I have yet to find a solution. Like I said its a minor annoyance but it's slightly tainting your Magnum Opus and I know your a perfectionist.
Hey Marty, this is a mic set up video...but I'll answer here anyway. None of my mods touch trees. I don't do tree/flora/grass mods at all. I just do textures which don't interact with the game engine or anything at all. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but none of my mods would cause any of those issues.
@@The-SkykingWhat can I say, typical console peasant talking poppycock! 🥴🙃 I'm at a loss. Perhaps it's a fault introduced in an update. It doesn't matter what Tree mod I use, the irregularity remains. Thanks so much for your quick response anyway 🙏 you're the main mod man! 👍
I wanted to make a crash course. So many people just don't know how to install a mod or are just starting out. Which this video covers. As for load order, there is no defined answer, it depends on the mods you have and how they relate to each other. What one person's core mod or base mod is may be your main graphic or city overhaul that would go in a completely different place in your load order. As for overwriting, I do have a video about that coming. None of it is complex because its stupid simple in MO2. No rules. No loot.
@@The-Skyking I have been trying to learn MO2 for hours, but I still find Vortex to be more friendly and easier especially regarding managing rules (prioritize) where Vortex holds my hand on what to overwrite with recommendations.
You never said how to actually launch it in the game. Also, you just overwrote the Data folder from the developer. Shouldn't you make a backup of that folder in case there is a problem?
2:38 I explain how to set up SKSE in MO2 and launch the game from the launch drop down. When I dragged and dropped files into the source game folder, I overwrote my already existing SKSE files. Thats how it's designed to work. If you want, you can zip the included data folder and install that as it's own mod in mo2 and drop the rest in the game source folder. But do have to put the files there from the zip.
Thank you so much for this! I can't wait to follow this to try to make my mic sound better (even though I know I really need to just buy an actual mic vs using a headset)
Great video I’ll give it a try but nothing works with my mic it just always sounds cheap due to it being cheap Razer seiren mini. I just can’t afford anything theses days but yep I’ll give it a try and let you know
lets say i got the game from a friend and it no longer needs to be connected to steam, gog, etc. and it works thru vortex but i know MO@ organizes better. Would it still work or does it need to be thru one of those.
This is awesome! Would've made setting up my first mic I bought a few months ago much easier! Eventually had a friend of mine set it up for me but then I messed it up by trying to give myself a chipmunk voice lol
@@dylannoonan6185 open the enb menu (shift+enter) and find the setting to turn off letterbox. The enb description page will show you how to do that. Read the description page of the ENB for all the info you'll need.
Always a joy to watch you SkyKing. Coming back to Skyrim after a break and relearning how to mod. Just making certain I have the basics straight and no better place to go then to a known and respected modder. Hoping you'll do a follow up to this with a review of stable versions of Skyrim and what you think is worth having. Good luck with those pesky Kahjiits. I wonder how they don't rip holes in the fabric and contain themselves from climbing the curtains? :)
And unlike a lot of people I hate the DLCs can't stand dawnguard and the dragonborn went outside of the main quest sucks I found a couple mods that delay it I like to try the Somerset attack mod it looks really interesting I played the game over and over and over I'd like to try some new content would have been nice if you put some extra bulges or cities in your load and some extra story lines that weren't related to blood guts and gore
I would have liked to seen your overhaul of magic and perk tree the per tree sucks and a great enhancement and a different magic spells and I hate the soul gym concept I like the one where you can refill the soldier that just straight magic or you can use something else in replace them there's just so many plot holes in the very soul gym concept
Thanks for the detailed video! I now have a much better understanding of MO2 (which has always intimidated me a bit) and discovered I had been doing a couple of things wrong. How you explained it makes modding feel very simple and approachable.
Hi... 1:05 Why do you specifically keep it as clean as you can? Is it just your sense of order behind it or does it have a specific effect on the functioning of the programs? I had a debate on this topic with one modder and he said that the functioning of the program does not depend on the "purity" of the library.
Because I make mods in my data folder and that's a good way to get confused and mess a lot of things up. Also I think any thing in the data folder ovewrites whats in MO2 so you can factor it into your LO in MO2.
I think MO2 overwrites the data folder, but there isn't much point installing anything to the data folder that isn't specified that it needs to go there as with MO2 you can organise things more neatly and enable or disable as you want. I make mod in MO2 so I can keep all of the files in the same place just for that mod, I wouldn't necessarily remember that one random mesh I used that I kept in the data folder when I upload so this helps make sure no files are missing.
I literally just downloaded this mod yesterday, haven’t even had the chance to try it, looking up videos on it on RU-vid, and I find out it’s in retirement… I gotta say it looks amazing as hell. Praying it runs well in VR. Can’t get over the architecture looks. Can’t wait until I finish up modding either so I can play it.
No, these are two different mods. You can choose Skyland Landscapes or Fantasia. Skyland is much more vanilla friendly if you're looking for a 1-to-1 replacement.
Hell yeah looking forward for something new from you my king lol i wonder if your going to do the same as you did skyland make all new mods then package them into a all in one later when your done
Nope. It's not a SKyland Mod. Skyland is retired as I made all the mods I wanted to for the Skyland Series. Now I'm just doing rando mods and when i feel up to it.
