I have to look again into getting this done and you're right, the first time after my operation, I don't think I was ever given exercises and this was when I was really young (I think I was 5 and that would have been in 1992). The reason why I'm asking is because it's reattached.
Bad breath almost destroyed my life,I was so depressed to a point that i don’t want to live anymore. After countless of trials i was able to get rid of it permanently with the help of Dr Amade i found on RU-vid@DrAmade.
I'm almost 40yrs old I've been tongue tied my whole life.. I had the surgery over 20 yrs ago but I didn't know u had to do therapy for the tongue afterwards so it won't grow back .. I can now stick my tongue out enough to barely lick my lips.. its causing issues n my life now.. I cant sleep .. its hard to breath my teeth have issues from my tongue resting on them for 40 yrs .. I'm a mouth breather before I'm a nose breather .. I've learned to live with it.. my speech is perfect but I really think I need to get it fixed.. any suggestions.. u don't see alot of adults tongue tied..
27 this year and just found out that I have a tongue thrust from breathing through my mouth. My ortho was the one to point it out. Now my doctor is sending me for a sleep test. If the meds don’t work, I then have to see a nose, ears and throat specialist. I wish someone told me this when I was a kid
The real reason to learn this is because if you can't click your tongue, you can't communicate with your horse 😏 No but seriously, *this* is why some people can't cluck to their horse!? Always baffled me how some people can't do it 😅
I friend of mine smoked for forty two years and has no problem breathing through his nose. He doesn’t feel out of breath or anything but someone i know always mouth breaths and i asked why he does it and he said he has no clue,he tried nose breathing and he said he felt like he was suffocating because he couldn’t get enough air..he’s never smoked
I'm really just trying to figure this out. I noticed that while meditating I'd have increased gas and burping. But if I placed my tongue differently that would go away. Through putting tongue positioning and breathing in the search bar I became aware of mewing. I'm continuing to learn as I go. Who would have thought tongue placement was this important though? But it's extremely important.
I have a hard time touching all 3 points of the palate with the tongue. The second point is kind of deep and I have to bend my tongue very hard in order to touch this spot, but that's impossible. What's easier for me is getting the tongue a little back and touching the 2nd and 3rd spot. Or placing the tip on the N spot but then I touch only the 1st and the 3rd spot (this is what I do when I swallow as well). I suppose that's not a proper tongue posture. I hope after fixing my mild to moderate tongue tie things will get better. Thank you for this video!
I'm seeing a physical therapist for tmj syndrome, specifically upper/lower jaw tension and pain. I have a very dimply chin but this hasn't come up in conversation with her. I wonder if I should mention it. I do find that the tension eases when I bring my lower jaw forward and relax my lips, which I did mention to her. We are focusing on the tongue to roof of mouth though, not lip exercises. The whole thing is truly exhausting.
Is a tounge tie the biggest or possibly the only reason for young kids to develop really really crooked teeth? Does biting on clothing and toys contribute to crooked teeth? I was told before that bottle feeding after 1 yrs old and my kiddo drak extra milk from sibling until 3 but he didn't have crooked teeth until about 4 yrs old. Or do crooked teeth have anything to do with vitamin difficeny? Thanks.
I was born tounge tied. Have had a bad case of vit d def. I asked my dr to trst my levels of minerals and nut. He tested to check if i was close to menapause
Thank You for the video, You've cleared up Nitric Oxide delivery for me. I knew how important Nitric Oxide is to our health so clearing up the delivery is also so important!
Hi Sarah, I had a tongue tie release at the age of 61 and the results were incredible! Immediately after the release while still in the dentist's chair, I noticed a change in my breathing. I could breathe in my upper chest. The tension and tightness in my neck and shoulders were immediately gone. I had been going to physical therapy for this. I felt a release in the lumbar region of my back as well. My sleep has improved significantly and surprisingly I noticed an improvement in my speech - better articulation. I would recommend this procedure to anyone. I would love to talk to you about CST as I would like to provide services for clients who have releases. I am a trained therapist through Upledger. Thank you. Is there some way to contact you?
