That bbq chicken is on the menu for tomorrow Neal. I’ll be grilling it on the Weber Summit charcoal center. Believe it or not but that’s how I found the Charcoal King channel years ago. I’ll be wearing the same hat you are too. Chicken looks absolutely delicious and finger licking good. Y’all enjoy Independence Day! Cheers!
Boss, tell me that you saved that chicken fat for broth/stock ? I never throw any away. Your BBQ chicken looked incredible 😋. And yes, I have the world's best BBQ sauce recipe. Question, what's the best way to get the sauce to caramelize 🤔 Keep up the good work.
I don't miss my Webber kettle. But before anyone gets their panties in a bunch, I NEVER gave my kettle away. I mean no way. Hell I currently have 4 22" kettles. A black one I mostly use. And. A red and a white and yuppers you guessed it, a blue one. I'll use multiple kettles at the same time for different items. Say some beer brats in one while maybe a all vegetable dish for the vegetarians( my white kettle is dedicated to no meats cooking) and maybe a 3rd kettle with a apple pie for dessert. Everyone have a great 4th. 🎉🍻🔥😁
Thanks for sharing with us Neil and Amy, you made a good BBQ Sauce from the sounds of things around there. Stay safe and have a great celebration on the 4th of July. Went through a few of those Weber Kettles myself in my younger years. Still a favorite for tailgating and camp trips for an evening out. Fred.
My favorite grill is...char-griller Acorn ...(kamodo ) style❤..looks like 4th of July goodness Neal..thanks as always ❤..VOTE BLUE to save our democracy and rid this species 💙 GO VOLS
You gotta do a video of all your grills and how you store them. BTW. Charcoal is my favorite, by far. You could kill 2 of my requests with this grill. Direct ribs and Cornell chicken.
I have a pellet smoker, gas grill and a 36" griddle but i dont have a charcoal grill anymore. That's what i learned how to grill on. BUT a charcoal grill or a stick burner just give a better flavor to everything. Real wood burning tastes the best. Neil add like 1/2 teaspoon of liquid smoke to that sauce and you wont every buy sauce again.
Can’t wait to see the new series and it comes at the right time. My new Weber 22 inch in the mail today. I didn’t need it but I have never had one. I have a large green egg, large Kamodo Joe , pit boss pellet and a 250 gallon pull behind off set. So i guess now i have a little of everything. Cant wait to see what you do with the weber
Love the shirt man! Looks amazing. Love my kettle as well. I have the 22” SNS. To me nothing beats the flavor of charcoal! Love the content as always and happy 4th!
"I miss my charcoal grill" Truer words were never spoken - And yeah We have the pellet smoker, the griddle and the gas grills but the Charcoal grill is unbeatable ( especially with some hickory added to the flame) Happy 4th of July to You . Amy and the family Neal !
Awright!! Back to the '50s, goin' Ward Cleaver style.......................well.........he didn't have Woodford Reserve, but.........close enough. I like the idea of a Weber kettle series playing with accessories as well as the base unit. I've got a bunch of accessory pieces that are a ton of fun to play with and add a lot of versatility to the kettle. There are compromises, but they are good options for folks that aren't nut jobs like you and I.
Yes sir! I have 2 pellet grills, an offset, a 36" griddle and my tried and true, the one that will never leave, my 26" Weber Kettle! Absolutely love it!!
Nothing better than old schooling it with the kettle. I’m getting one this weekend with all sales going on. I’ll be right there with like I used to cook. Look forward to this new series. Great idea
That’s reminds me of the chicken my dad used to cook on his charcoal grill. I have that 22” Weber and it’s my absolute favorite. The taste cannot be beat. That chicken looks amazing. Great video. GBO.
Hello, what was the smoke setting at on the pit boss? I believe theres 7 levels of smoke you can set for any given temperature and i was wondering if that might have been part of the reason it had less smoke than the other pellet grills. I was looking into getting a titan on black friday this year and would love for you to let me know if you may have forgot to turn it up to the max smoke setting.
You are correct...but so do the others...when comparing I tried to keep it even..that means no added features...Weber only smokes at 180....traeger 180 to 220...so in this comparison...only 250 and same pellet
Thx for sharing the source recipes. We have a family member who needs to cutdown on salt and sugar. Also it would be nice to have rubs with no sugar or salt. My searwood should be here Friday. Thx and have a great Fourth of July thx for your service
I hate the Weber kettle's bottom vent and ash removal system though, as that ash basket is way harder to remove than it should be. I have an SnS Kamado now, which is basically a Weber kettle in Kamado form as it fits pretty much every accessory made for the Weber kettle, but the vents are way easier to use, the ash is way easier to remove (if you use a Kick Ash Can and either the Slow N Sear or a Kick Ash Basket like I do, anyway), and since it's a kamado, it's got the moisture retention and ease of use you'd expect from a kamado. I cool a pack of thighs every Tuesday evebing Easily the best part of the chicken.
