This is happened to my c3 1.6ehdi 92 injection holder cracking and cause smoke under the hood and engine not working properly before i smell something like its not burning the fuel well. Maybe this is the reason?
Thank you. I didn't know the bottom skirt was removable to gain access to the sensors. DRL: It make me wonder why they didn't have a handle like your mod as standard from the factory! Brilliant Idea. Also WHY did the fit the HID ballast to the BOTTOM of the headlight?!!! I have 2 of these cars 1 manual 1 automatic. Edit* If you have mudflaps/splashguards fitted you will have to remove those before you can remove the lower skirt.
>I didn't know the bottom skirt was removable to gain access to the sensors. You don't have to remove it, there is a plenty of space to replace it without removing plate.
Hello. I dont remember exactly, but definatelly not on highest, because then the suspenssion is under tension, you want it to be loose. Sometimes it need to be on the lowest, main point is to disconnect the battery.
@@rustoilthanks, what I'm afraid of is to lower the suspension to get it loose when I put it on car jack because of the return of hydraulic oil, did you have to open the hydraulic container for breaking the pressure or something?
On my car LDS level is as it should be so I have no wories. If you dont exactly know yours, then just take off the cap. Do you have lexia? Then do the depressurise procedure to make lds level right.
smart guy, I have got an citroen c5 x7 too, hydroactive. I will must to do the same very soon probably the same problem. I´ve got a sound in my front left tire when I stand up the suspension and my steering wheel is not straight. nice video mate congrats¡¡¡¡
I think I might as well just watch all your videoes. I end up with yours no matter the issue I have with my car. 😅😂 Do you have one for gear box replacement of oil, etc? Got a leakage.
I would dissasmeble eveything holding the wheel hub ant take it to the toolshop. But wheel removal tool is not expensive, probably cheapier that it would cost to swap the bearing.
@@rustoil My uncle owns a workshop, so he can do the job for free. I just need to remove the wheel hub and bring it to him. Do you have any videoes that feautures calipers and faults here? I have some issues with heating calipers(on opposite side of the wheel bearing issues) where the piston isnt moving back properly/the handbrake seems to be somewhat stuck on one side. Mechanical handbrake.
So just remove all bolts and take the wheel hub to the shop. You have to bare i mind that suspenssion bolts are stated as one-use and you should replace them with new ones. I have seen cases when suspenssion arm bolts snapped...
@@rustoil I ended up using your video as a guide on laptop while doing the job. Worked nicely. And a lot simpler than removing the entire hub. Spent about 2h (mostly because there was issues removing the old bearings inner part). Thanks
I must say: what a horrific intake manifold construction! Why the heck is it so unnecessarily huge? Couldn't they split it up so you don't have to remove high pressure fuel lines and timing belt cover? If you want to clean up your intake from carbon, you end up with camshafts uncovered! Now try to clean up the part of the intake in the header, not to letting the dirt to get into the engine... What a disastrous engineering... I have this engine in Jumper (I think in UK it's Relay), and what's worse, the main part of the intake manifold is inside the engine compartment, because the hood is very short and you can only see the oil cap.
Thanks R&O! This video saved me a lot of money. Oxidation and hardened grease turned out to be the reason that my passenger side motor got jammed. It took me a bit over one hour to fix it with the help of your instructions. It's typical that the amount of second hand driver side motors is overwhelming whereas second hand passenger side motors are super scarce and cost almost tenfold.
Thanks for the video. The chain is not really in perfect shape. Seems like oil was not changed regularly. Sit would still work for many kilometres as it is quite resistant. My chain did make slight noise but as per Peugeot AGIR nothing to do in this case as long as the noise is not too violent.
I like MoS2 (Molybdenum Disulphide) additives like Liqui Moly anti friction additiv to prevent things like this. It basically prevents metal on metal contact from ever being able to happen...
The fastener must have been too tight! Tighten it to 7 nm and then 55 degrees (that's 7 clicks on my torque wrench). That's remarkebly untight, so the danger of tightening them too much is real!
everything is disassembled more easily and quickly if the brake system is dismantled and the vertical leg with the hub is removed. In addition, the tampon is inserted at a precise angle, otherwise it doesn't do much. then the entire suspension must be raised to a precise height and all nuts must be tightened to the specified torque with a torque wrench. the whole procedure takes 3 hours from to
Very wrong. Read specialized literature for Citroën. Don't you use a torque wrench? The rim with the tire does not tighten like that. The lower carrier must be horizontal and 54+-5mm from the shank and then it is tightened to certain newtons. Why did you unscrew the steering rod? Don't lie to people!
Yep, i was not using tourque wrench. And I do this most of the time 😀 and guess what - nothing happened 😀 this channel is not about rocket science, its about simplicity. Dont overthink where you dont need to.

the front wiper passenger side is 560 mm long. You can put 660mm long one instead I think . the filed of a wiping area would be then perfect in that car ?
Good video, thanks. The three bolts should be ordered separately from Citroen, they are not included with the bearing. The two identical bolts are P/N 3648.13 The single bolt is P/N 3648.12
@rustoil thank you mate. Running this engine in a 508 hybrid. I've noticed oil buildup in the intercooler when i had to change it cause of a leak. But the turbo is so difficult to check with it being placed at the back of the engine... keep up the good work!
