Thanks for this... I've come to the conclusion with iPhones lately is that it is best just not to use portrait mode. I prefer crisp photos with less computational stuff in it (real bokeh if possible).
i print as large as 16 x 20" in house. ( epson p900 and epson ultra premium luster paper ) i don't see any difference in sharpness that would be seen in printed photos. you keep saying how much better the 13 mini is, i don't see it. the colors can easily be adjusted in photos ( i use aperture and PS CS3 ) to be what you want and the tiny bit of better sharpness won't show up in actual prints. in low light the 13 does seem 1/2-2/3 stop better but with proper light, all 3 are realistically equal when printed. i printed a 16 x 20 of a landscape with my 12mp d3 and my 36mp d800. at 3 feet they looked identical. pixel peeping is not comparable to printing, inkjet drops just can't get that tiny, at least with < $5000 printers.
hey thank for your video i wanted to ask a question so i want to buy the 12 mini or the 13mini and i'm not sure according to your compression video i find that the 12mini has better camera it looks more natural more warmer and i think even if the 13mini has more details and sharpness i think the 13 looks a bit over processed or kind of unreal i have noticed also that if there are strong colors in the photo so its taking them one step further and riches them up a bit more and also defined them in a strange software Processing way and then it looks not natural so from pink color you got more of a purplish color also i think the 13 mini if flattening the photo because of that wider sensors or whatever .... i'm not a professional i just see it so i'm really confused , do you think that the 13mini could have the same camera style as the 12mini with its temperature different modes ? could it be at the end that the iphone 12 mini camera is better than the 13mini what should i buy haawwww (: \ thanks
4:05 You said; the mini notch (I guess you mean the 12 mini) -“the iPhone mini notch easy really obnoxious..” what did you mean? The 12’th mini’s notch was bigger and that’s why you said that?
Idk the 12 mini looks like it’s about a weeks worth of battery in my real world. Lol. People really use there phones 6+ hours a day? Gawd this world is going to shet.
Mini’s problem is not really screen on (it has small screen after all) but standby. In idle the processor uses the same amount of power as bigger phones but mini has smaller battery :/ so whole day with screen off can be -20% on mini and 10% on bigger iPhones
While the test confirms that the 13 mini lasts longer as expected, the 7 hour SOT the 12 mini achieved while running those battery intensive tasks are nothing to scoff at and more than I expected tbh, especially considering the complaints about that phone's battery life from almost every reviewer! And while it lost to the 13 mini, it was only by one hour and 19 minutes, which in practical terms means that both phones will last a typical work day for most people and both will need a nightly charge, so I wouldn't pay a ton more for the 13 mini if a meaningfully better battery life than the 12 mini is your main priority.
I'm excited for this new iPhone! On my channel i have an unboxing of my white iPhone 13 pro max. i'm waiting til next year to upgrade but this time i want the black iPhone!! i can't wait.
iPhone 12 mini is my favorite point-and-shoot. No filters needed. I enjoyed using it for one year. I upgraded to the iPhone 13 mini and the photo looks worse... it needs filtering, and fiddling around and adjusting... :/
I've heard some folks say that they dislike the fact that HDR cannot be turned off on the 13. Also I wonder if it's true that the 13 applies heavy sharpening, kind of like some Samsungs have done. Perhaps the 12 is more natural in some way? I'm currently on the fence of getting a 12-mini for only a hundred eighty bucks. ... Not sure if it's worth spending almost twice as much on a used 13 Mini.
Thanks man, the result is just what I expected when I upgraded my 11 to a 12 mini last year. The OLED screen really does make a difference in terms of battery life. It's not even as bad as some RU-vidrs made it seem so
there's something more important in my opinion its the mini-led on the pro its almost like oled and I like the oled so... um gonna go complete my movie momento bye 👋
