Greetings, it is I, Rockotar, I make videos discussing/analyzing movies, TV shows, and games, as well as a few other things here and there like original short films. hope you enjoy.
If you want to send me something, send it to this address below.
"People assume your problems got solved when a man appeared on your life?" Sleeping beauty and Snow White both need to shut the up there. Also, Penepole basically dismissed everything Ralph did for her on the first movie. This movie is awfull, there is not a single good thing about it.
This movie became my favorite Disney movie when I saw it, and it remains my favorite Disney movie to this day. I was lucky enough to see it under the perfect circumstance: I first saw it at Otakon. In a theatre FULL of fellow video game nerds, who understood every last reference. When the Konami Code reference appeared, the entire crowd absolutely cheered. That said, nerdiness aside, when Ralph is falling and he is speaking the Bad Guy Affirmation, I always tear up. John C Reilly put in an absolutely spectacular performance. Sarah Silverman also broke my heart when she screamed at Ralph when he was breaking the car. This movie felt like it was made for me, since I was born in the early 80s, so the 8 bit days were my earliest gaming memories, and possibly my earliest memory period. Legend of Zelda on NES is core to my memory.
The ironic twist is this when I see lotso I can sometimes also see a dark twisted version of Jesse if she went in a different way I am so happy she didn't but I just realized the more and more I watched toy story 3 the more and more I realized Jesse could have ended up just like lotso if given the right circumstances
I agree with you that the movie has problems but you're definitely wrong about some parts especially when it comes to the Disney princess scene. Your argument about that line they said about "being saved by man" doesn't make any sense doesn't make any sense how are they being unlikable characters ? Not once in the entire film they said anything about hating the male characters or disrespecting them I think you're taking that line the way out of contents I think what the princess was doing was making fun of the trope aka they were joking that's basically it. Cinderella breaking her shoe and using it as a weapon hasn't disrespecting the original movie it was done as a joke and not to be taken seriously
I do love the irony that his Omnidroid ended up being TOO well-designed. His plan to look like the hero went wrong before the Incredibles showed up because he couldn't beat his own robot even though he had the remote to 'control' it.
The scene with the mice relaying the message to RAS really stands out. The mice don't say anything and aren't even on screen for very long but they're still so expressive and have personality
Someone once mentioned the genius of the scene where Azula is speaking to her mother in the mirror, where it could be perceived that she turned away from her mother by turning away from the mirror, or turned to face her mother and turning away from herself, figuring it was just a reflection we were seeing.
I remember hearing about a class who was going to take a tour around a movie set. Before they went, the teacher asked them what they would want to be when they grew up and the kids talked about being the actors. However, after the tour, when asked the same question, a lot of kids started talking about set design, sound design, special effects, etc. Sometimes we only see what is on stage and never realize all the behind the scene work that goes into making it.
The Saddest thing about This Movie is that A Wreck it Ralph Sequel Could've been great... The Only way they Could Make a 3rd one is to do a Car 2 Situation where They act like this one....never happened..
I've been really enjoying watching your video, in ones like these you make good points. Turbo reminds me of someone in two of my classes at my school, he has a few minor mental disabilities and his is 𝗢𝗕𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗗 with high needs kids, to the point of making fun of noises when atendping to speak. But he himself, in my option, is more disabled as he is picking on people who are 'below' him, he doesn't want any help from any of the paras, and even all of them strongly dislike him. I don't know his story, and I don't know whether to feel bad for his parents or him, but do I hope that he isn't at my school this coming school year. If you like movies and story's, I'd recommend watching Songs Of War. Despite the fact that's it animated in video game, it's really quite good, even my grandma liked it. And recently season two came out of 'canceled' and into a state of 'lack of funding', so it's likely that it will happen. Here is the full movie. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yCNUP2NAt-A.html
The only acceptable redemption in my opinion (even though Sofia was dumb for not accepting they weren’t friends at first), all the other great villains like Miss Nettle and Princess Ivy were ruined by Sofia redeeming them. Kids don’t need to learn people can change so forcibly and constantly. Kids meed variety as much as older kids and adults
Something I feel a lot of folks miss when it comes to Buddy, whether you think he is in the right or wrong, is that Bob had absolutely zero obligation to make Buddy his "ward" and was more than rightly aggravated that this kid kept interfering with his job. To clarify: a lot of posts and comments I find try on the subject say that Bob had some obligation to make Buddy his sidekick because of Buddy's clear super intelligence, but he really doesn't; Buddy has no familial ties to Bob at all, he isn't an orphan, and (here is the big one) he is a MINOR. Bob taking Buddy "under his wing" would be so unbelievably irresponsible of Bob that it defies all sense and reason, this isn't Batman where the clearly deranged rich guy and his horrifically enabling yes-man of a butler who dresses like a Navy Seal in a fursuit essentially kidnaps random orphans off the street and uses them as meat shields while he punches party clowns in the face. To be generous, maybe Bob could have used his connections to put Buddy in contact with some government suits that could train Buddy to use his intelligence for good, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that. Buddy demonstrated as a kid and an adult that all he wanted was the adulation and applause from the common folk, he couldn't care less about saving lives. By the time we first see him, Bob has clearly exhausted his patience with Buddy; remarking he had "been nice, stood for photos, signed every scrap of paper [he] pushed on me" but Buddy breaking into his car and then interfering with Bomb Voyage was finally crossing the line. So him telling the cops to alert Buddy's mother about her son's insanely reckless activities was the responsible thing to do, not him putting the CHILD into more danger by making him his sidekick.
Why do I have no memories of this man.... I remember so much of this show but not him lol maybe this is a sign I should try a episode for the first time since I was 7 XD
I can't believe that this movie has less hate than Cars 2, which I believe is a better sequel and a very underrated movie. Small detour: Cars 2 deserves more love. Sure it may have some slight flaws, but it is still a fun movie with plenty of action. I personally don't find Mater that annoying, but I can kinda see why others might think so. I also really like the arc that Mater and McQueen go through. Mater becomes smarter as the movie progresses, and is hurt that Fin McMissile thinks that his act of being stupid is a brilliant technique, not realizing that is actually how Mater is, and Mater is understandably emotionally hurt. Once he helps the spies crack the case for who the evil mastermind is, the reveal scene is well made and shows how Mater has grown throughout the story. And Lightning McQueen, he gets really mad at Mater for saying strange things that Mater did indeed see. But McQueen also understandably thinks it was all made up, because Mater does that well. He ends up influencing Mater's departure and feels guilty about it. In Italy, he discusses the issue with Uncle Topolino, Luigi's uncle. He figures out that calling Mater out for being himself in Japan wasn't right. And that he should just accept Mater for who he is. And this actually brings me to another point: This movie basically used the same message as Wreck-it-Ralph did, Accepting who you and others are. Mater accepts who he is, and is proud of it. The lemon cars are a direct contrast to that, and do not let go of their past, unlike Mater just moving on from the past. I think the message is really well executed. Man I ranted a lot about Cars 2 so in summary: It is a better sequel than Ralph breaks the internet
Lotso is my third favorite Pixar villain. But I'd say he's the most complex. We understand his actions, but they are never excused because he is awful. If he had saved Woody and everyone else, that would've felt like a forced redemption. I'm glad things turned out the way they did for him. And here's a thought: He wanted to control everyone around him. But by the end, he couldn't even move.
I love Cedric so much. He gets so many fun villainy scenes and simultaneously gets to be a great resource for the mc (Sofia). In the pilot/movie, he offers Sofia help whenever she needs it and from then on out she goes to him (note: not her mom or even her dad, the KING) whenever she needs any help. Their mentor/mentee relationship is genuinely adorable, especially because the roles seem to shift throughout each episode (e.g. Cedric is Sofia's mentor when teaching her magic, but Sofia is Cedric's mentor in "Cedric be Good" and "Mystic Meadows") I just love their relationship so much, it's genuinely adorable and I headcanon that he is the one who really looks out for her after she starts going on solo Protector missions and she comes back to the castle all exhausted and stuff. Cefia shippers DNI.
The movie may be forgotten by Disney, but the Sherlock Holmes community still remembers! I know a number of fans who consider this one of the best Holmes adaptations ever. Unironically: whoever made this must have LOVED the stories. Thanks for giving it the credit it deserves!
Idk what type of crack you put in this video, but ever since you released this, I've watched it at least 80 times(no joke, probably more tbh) this is littetally my go to video if i have nothing else to watch 😭
Honestly if you say aliens are race coated than you’re probably the racist one cuz seeing aliens and saying you know they remind me of a group of people is kinda mean especially when the aliens are ugly as f*ck
I find no issue with your opinion on Muppet Treasure Island. It was one of the only Muppet movies I had growing up, so it holds a special place in my heart. However, Good Sir…I will not hear, or bear ANY slander on the “Cabin Fever” scene. It was supposed to be madness 😂
I called shows like sofia family shows. Seems kiddish at first until you an older/grownup end up on the couch glued! As this was mainly my lil sis's show, i didn't pay much mind. Til i found my lil brother (5 years older middle child) there one day watching it with her. So I asked for a synopsis, which sounded bonkers but interesting enough for a sitdown. Hooked, line, and sinker! After that, if i heard the theme song across the house, i'd come running out of my room to claim a spot! 😄
I know you are a youtuber and a "content creator" but it's really dumb anyways to rant for over 1 hour about a forgettable Disney movie that you don't like. Also while Aristocats lack any serious character development or conflict, it's an enjoyable movie.
I just rewatched it and i loved it. Qui gon is one of my favorite jedis and Young anakin is amazing in this movie. I loved the jokes, I loved the visuals, and I loved the story. Duel of the fates is the best lightsaber battle of all time.
The fact that Cedric, a villain from a Disney Jr. series, had a better redemption arc than Kylo Ren from the new Star Wars trilogy will never stop being fun for me.
