I try to make videos that people find helpful or enjoyable. I take you along while I fix or modify trucks, tractors and everything in between. I also get tractor and equipment videos when I can. I am a John Deere fan but try to get videos of all brands. If you like what you see go ahead and subscribe. I am always doing something different.
Mortske repair is trying to warn me tall deck big block chevys arent worth a damn! What do you think? im considering buying a 1960 chevy apache half ton with Bus engine 366 with only 115,000 miles on it. Supposedly about 230Hp/383Tq in stock bus trim. Guy has way too much exhaust , dual 2.5 inch pipes all way back to bumper. Hopefully that doesnt sacrifice too much tq for minor Hp gains. Ive no plans to hop this engine up, except maybe headers and 4 BBL if it has 2BBL now, i just want a low mileage, unraced engine that will be reliable to get me from place to place and look cool in an old truck doing it.
I've been enjoying your videos on the Ranger. Have one similar to yours. Having trouble getting used to the suicide doors. Why you suppose they build them that way?
@@terryk3118 I am not sure why the doors open that way. Polaris has done that since the Ranger 800 so it's been awhile. My guess would be it gives you more room to get in. The wide opening is near where your legs slide in. Maybe it just feels that way. I would hope Polaris engineers have tried it the other way.
Got a 2003 with pretty much the same setup but it took getting almost to the end to figure out how you got the gas tank out in the first place but the hint was when you said "...oh yeah, I gotta put back in the DRIVESHAFT!" For the 1000's of frustrated S10 owner with a 2002-2004 YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE DRIVESHAFT OUT (or in my case drop the back half) IN ORDER TO REMOVE THE TANK OR EVEN LOWER IT. Absolutely ZERO clearance on EITHER side to shift the tank w/the lower bracket attached and get it out WITHOUT REMOVING THE DRIVESHAFT. Pretty important detail that's frustrated the crap outta a LOT of us - even the service manual doesn't mention that (it just assumes). BUT when you drop the shaft, it's a pretty straightforward job. The rear strap on the drivers side is angled and HIDDEN behind the tank so you MUST completely REMOVE the entire tank IF you have to replace the rear strap. Have watched a LOT of your S10 videos for yrs. YOU deserve a STANDING OVATION SIR! Lessons learned - Keep it simple. Right to the point and use SIMPLE LOGIC. THANK YOU!!!
@@Aaron-hd8ql I don't have part numbers. I also had trouble with getting the correct hose from LMC. I think I might have gone to the local parts store and ordered one.
I just got a 69 mm TB from mace engineering with ecu remap and bcm setup for 4L60E transmission being firmer! Now I have to port match my new TB. Excellent throttle response and better fuel economy!
I will tell you I have a 01 Sonoma sls extended cab long bed step side witch kinda hard to find but the factory tire one year option 235/55/r16 it is hard as hell to find that size so i went up to 235/75/r16 and had to take the bottom bolt out the finder well modified the finder well and lifted it 2 inches just so I wouldn’t scrub and hit the top of the finder well when hitting a bump I put bigger springs and shocks in the front and added a leaf spring and bigger shocks in the rear but I run Firestone destination at/2 my papa gave me the truck he said something to remember him by but I love that little truck low miles wish it was 4wd like my 98 Silverado k3500 but its a little going to town truck I can’t complain it was free but what I did to make not scrub
@@mossman381 so yes, it is a hack job, you either needed to find the correct connectors and crimp them, solder them, etc. or cut the connector off and crimp it or soldering it! Just stripping the wires and shoving it in the connector is not acceptable. It is a fire hazard and this is the reason it sucks to buy used trucks because hacks like this have hacked them up and you don’t know what you’re gonna find that can leave you burning on the side of the road.
@@anythingbutwheelswithdanmi6040 Do you know how old this video is? Truck never started on fire. How do you think this would start a fire? Why would the wire come out? I have wired a ton of stuff and never started any fires. You are one of those anal people that don't show anybody your work but criticize other's. I don't solder every wire connection and have had zero issues. Go somewhere else with your anal comments.
@@mossman381 because loose connections, start fires and connections without any sort of termination are loose connections i’m not gonna say it’s gonna burn every time but what other hack jobs have you done on the truck? the bottom line is if you don’t know what you’re doing don’t give advice because you do not know what you are doing!
Let me save someone else some time, dont buy rotors for a gm hd truck 01-07 i believe from advance auto!. The rotors are not deep enough and dont seat on the hub all the way. Ive never seen anything like it in all my years of working on vehicles. They snap under weight. Someone else in the advance auto reviews of the rotor had the same issue with his hd gm truck. Your welcome. Use auto zone next time. Point taken. What a mess this all was. I will never use advance again. Ever.
I can’t believe you didn’t fix the gear oil leak . That leak usually indicates a failing wheel bearing and metal on metal brakes indicate poor maintenance or heavy towing or both . Good luck on this half A$$ fix .
This setup will mow some serious acreage. This was my first time pulling it and I really didn't know what to expect. Now that I have been running it for awhile it's crazy how much this will mow. If you have a lot of obstacles it will take a little planning but still should save a ton of time mowing 10ft in one pass. I am really happy with it.
Thanks, it almost doesn't seem real loosing ma. Her dementia had been getting worse and worse, but you never really think about the end until it happens.
