Any thoughts on overall toughness of these cans? If my rifle falls over and the middle of the can hits the corner of a bench on the way down, is the can going to snap in half? Or be unfazed? The Vent 3 looks awesome in how quiet it is. But, I can't help thinking it looks flimsy. Like it would break from staring at it too hard. A buddy of mine loves his Thunderbeast cans because he says they're quiet AND he can use them as a club if all else fails. I don't want to club people with my cans, but I also don't want something that will be destroyed in a minor mishap.
we have chatted with them and are working on getting a few! thanks for your support. please feel free to email them requesting they get a can on the channel for testing.
@@Ertactical I'll definitely do that. I'm waiting on them to restock their inconel wb so I can get one myself. Used to wait on the ATF forever. Now we wait in the manufacturers.
I would bet money the people involved customized their trigger and had a garment get intermixed with the trigger well This video shows how adjustable triggers effects remove even more layers of safety by eliminating the take up ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8WqpL7A5zd8.htmlsi=t57s8sOlludOn_y6
we do have a flow K and we like it. I don't think I am too interested in anymore of the Flow cans as they are really loud. so many other company's are making low BP cans that are actually quiet. If Hux sends one then we will test it but they are just so loud that its hard to be excited about them.
Before watching... I'm gonna say if they do an OCL Polonium, thats going to be on the higher end. My polo is waaaay gassier than my RC2. I need a gas mask lmao
Those are same conclusions I’ve come to as well, seems the huxwrk ventum has solved a lot of these issues. It has flow thru technology, and hubs to adapt to multiple different manufacturers systems you may already have. Looks like you have one on table.
@@bruinranger13 i’m away from my desk right now. But we will post on our website all of our charts very soon. These charts will include several different days of testing and two different barrel lengths
I have a shooting range at my home and have had a suppressor starting in the mid 90s. If sound suppression is not the goal and flash suppression is, why not run a top of the line flash suppressor and skip getting a can altogether. If a suppressor isn't quiet it's just a huge waste of money. Sound reduction and being lightweight should be the end goal, it is for me.
I have a surefire RC2 and use the surefire flash hider. Recently I acquired a few different systems that have different mounting systems, HUXWRX and Keymo. Was contemplating buying another can, possibly a HUXWRX. Would like to buy a flow through system that can be adaptable between HUXWRX and KEYMO. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated ! I am open to suggestions.
Is it really that more backpressure than a traditional baffle can? I ask because there are cheap sub sonic 7.62x39 (Like the PPU stuff), but they say it will not cycle.
It’s full back pressure SN as much back pressure as a standard suppressor. A lot of places will claim that they have low back pressure and I have found this to often be untrue. The ammunition I used here is the atomic subsonic. I have found plenty of other subsonic ammunition that does not cycle even with a suppressor.I hope this helps
Since these aren't 1 - 10 numbered "grades" but rather adjustable gas block settings for both, mid-length and carbine length gas systems on their respective weapons, based on your experience and research which suppressor would you recommend for a 10.3" barrel and a fixed carbine length gas system? I've been debating back and forth between the SureFire RC3 w/ WarComp FH and the SilencerCo.Velos LBP w/ either the ASR FH or & QD Mount.
The RC3 is a good can but the Velos are extremely impressive. IMO. Vid on just this soon! Should be out in the next few days. Consider watching it before purchasing.
2:40 Can Rob please dive a bit deeper into the pros and cons of the Keymo system? I feel like the only pro I’m seeing consistently is a more true QD system
its is a bit more willing to carbon lock than the asr. Thats the biggest wave top for me. there are a few other little things I don't like about them I do have a few and there are some gains too.
Velos is a hard use can. The vent is not purely by material construction. The Velos is the best all around 556 can I own for ARs with barrels 14.5 and under. Better than my RC2, turbo k, polonium k, etc. longer barrels I prefer the mini 2, polonium k, and other k cans for length and weight. I want to try the Velos k however
We have been testing the entire lineup from Silencerco in their VELOS Suppressors. And we are extremely impressed. Video to come on this topic specifically soon.
Birdcage actually refers to the fact it's closed on the end (as opposed to open tine flash hiders), not the fact that it's closed on the bottom like an A2. Great video though!
not correct.. the Org m16 had an open tine FH.later a closed tine FH, when the mil ID's majority of its shooting was in the prone and too much dust was being kicked up they had the bottom sealed off. (birdcage) to reduce how much dust would be kicked up next to the shooter. you will find this on M16 A1 types and newer and will will not see this in the first few MK18's as they were made to be CQC guns and were not often fired from the prone. If the end is sealed off like BCM likes to do than you can consider it more of a Comp depending on a few more features. I hope this helps.
I’ve definitely been testing bullets and their effects at long distance in different weather. However, I have not seen a huge deviation in Suppressors and back pressure. But today we have found some very interesting results. There are some other findings from this day that we have not yet reported. Stay tuned because it will blow your mind. As it did mine.
I have a couple YHM cans and have decided I am going with their newer sRx system. I like that the brakes are 360, so no timing needed. Was still debating on brakes vs. hiders, but I am just a brake guy I guess. Have barrel lengths from 8" (9mm) to 16”. I still may go with a hider for the 8” 9mm. Thanks for the vid, great job!
I get Mike is trying to sound like he's staying positive and playing off the negativity... but the negativity happened not because shit broke, but because there was GARBAGE QUALITY COMMUNICATION all around over the Sierra-5 cans having disintegrating baffles. Its not a cheap can. When you spend a premium on something that has a freedom-ticket paid for and they just play it off as "thats just angry people" as if capitalism is inconvenient when you, the mfg, fucks up and has frustrated customers.... Mike just opened mouth, insert foot here. All he needed to do was maybe spend 1-2 minutes going over what caused the issues, how they fixed it, what they did to take care of those customers, and re-establish faith for their customers that the S5s are G2G and if anyone gets one they missed, they will fix or replace no questions asked.... but he didnt. He played it off as customers being stupid and angry, and hes not bothered by it. Well I dont have to buy any dead air products because I am bothered by it. 2A is a very principled community. It doesnt take much to ruin your reputation with gun owners. When Huxwrx is letting Ventus 762s go for under 800 bones, and are less pressure and cheaper, and can rock a Xeno, Atlas, or ASR mount and not shoehorn you into a Huxwrx flash hider.... Why even risk it with Dead Air? Really bad handling of this, and a big insult to the customers who gave them money. Sad that some business owners can't hire a specialist to listen to their dumb ideas and stop them before opening mouth > insert foot on camera. I appreciate the coverage, Rob. I know you love the Nomad L, but this was uncomfortable to watch.
I liked, I subscribed, and now I'm commenting, DAMMIT. GET THE GOAT! DO THE TEST! I gotta see this. I like the idea of being able to buy a short GOAT can, and then order and add baffles for the short configs ARs until you find a happy balance of sound, pressure, and OAL so I'm not putting holes in my house's dry wall and pissing off my wife.
