Nice to see you back on the beach. I’ve used an Xtreme Scoop for a couple of years, quite heavy but a beast on the beach, very well put together and shifts serious amount of sand at a time 👍🏻
That was a very interesting video nice finds especially the ring. Love to find that gold out on the beach. Metal derecting I love it relaxes you and you are in another world when doing it no worries just thinking detecting. May the luck be with you from USA gold sea outdoors
Hi. Thanks for watching. Both detectors are great. In my personal opinion the Excalibur is much easier to use. However, have you done your homework. Do you know about the threshold. Do you know about threshold tone change for different metal types ? Obviously the Excal is heavier but if you use a Anderson carbon over / under shaft it feels much better than the Nox.
Hi. The pole is a boat hook that is cut down to size. I get them from a friend. They last well but do break eventually. I’ll probably go carbon fibre next time.
A lot of early Equinox have leaked but I believe they have all been replaced without question under warranty. Mine has never been submerged so I’ve had no issues.
@@jerrytalley802 I got the end cap of of Joe OBN. Last time I checked he was still making the end caps but only during the winter months( about now so I would email him if I was you to check ) The switch was made by Tony Eisenhower. You can email him via his you tube channel or Facebook to see if he is still supplying them. Either one of them will supply the new internal jumper cable which solders into the PCB. You will also need marine grade 2 part epoxy to encapsulate the connections into the end cap. Where do you live ? Some people send the detector to Minelab service centres to have the job done.
Awesome hunt buddy good to see you bk again glad to hear your healing mate Corker of a ring fella looking forward to this next hunt make sure you rest well❤
Been thinking of starting this hobby for years, am a bit disabled but can manage any advice on kit, more fields and open land areas than beaches but waterproof? Maybe old battle sites that are allowed, that sort of thing?
I would still personally go with a multi frequency Minelab detector. The Equinox is excellent and quite light in weight. It’s fully waterproof. You could also look at the Vanquish range. The coils are waterproof but the controller is not. Good luck.
Hi mate. That's a tough one. Both are good machines. I will say that when lock down is over and i am back out detecting i will be using the Excal a lot more. The Excal is very easy to use. The Nox finds tiny pieces of metal, a lot of which is buried quite deep so you can find yourself digging lots of deep crap.
Really glad I’ve found your you tube site. I purchased an Equinox 800 as a retirement present and on Monday came down to Sandbanks and yesterday Boscombe. Both were beautiful days which made up for all the bottle tops I was finding, glad you have better luck than me, lol. Keep posting your videos as it’s great to see the beaches I can get to. Littlehampton next for me.
