Welcome. As an overweight 12 year vegetarian who has made the conversion to Vegan/WFPB in June 2018, I start my weight loss journey by cooking my meals at home and sharing some of my recipes I use. Join me on this adventure as we learn to eat great Plant Based foods while losing those extra pounds.
Gotta throw in some support and admiration at ya! I often scroll and read/engage with comments on videos I watch and … I just wanna say, as one high protein vegan to another who is also on a body recomp journey: I truly appreciate this channel and what y’all are doing here. I appreciate you sharing your journey and creativity. And I love there’s more and more places for different kinds of vegans! Some of us wanna get swole and that’s ok 🤣 (FYI I’m a salty New Yorker and my first reaction to shenanigans is usually telling people off but I figured let me be positive instead 🤣 some of these comments are wildin and idk how content creators deal)
Lindsay, I am a salty New Yorker also! I try to just delete the negative comments but sometimes I have to answer some of them. Thanks for the love and support, baby!
You always have such great ideas on how to maximize protein consumption with the least amount of calories. My biggest problem is that one of your servings is like 2 for me - I just can’t eat that much! But I’m still getting a lot more protein than I used to, so in my eyes, that’s a win!
I have had the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER from Complement. I ordered on July 1st, and tried your PlantBasedDads code, but it didn’t work, so I used another plant based you tubers code. Then nothing for a week. I reached out and asked why it was Unfulfilled and the CEO said he’d escalate it. Another week goes by and still Unfulfilled. I complained again. Was told it would get here by Friday of LAST week. Finally today, it was delivered and yes, it is 104º in Phoenix, so why the USPS left it in my mail box…. I went to open the package and it smelled like rotting fish and there was black oily residue all over inside the package. I noticed the capsules were black. This was the worst product experience I’ve had. I know it’s not your issue, but I just had to rant when I see so many RU-vidrs pushing this product.
Wow! I am so sorry you had that experience. That sounds pretty awful. I will forward this on to my rep to let them know all of this. Maybe they can change something in this process so this doesn't happen again.
Okay dads, I know you don't care, however I'm going to unsubscribe from your channel! You have become nothing but a commercial! All you do is push protein, and dalstrong knives, and protein powder and vitamins and now a George Foreman grill and TVP, that's getting ridiculous! And the way that you always say you're a teacher and you don't make a good income ,well I know that you also sell real estate and Tim probably has a pretty good income with his status at a hospital. You guys just aren't the same, and I watched you from day one! I've moved on to people that really want to show recipes, and don't care about the protein content, or selling their products on Amazon. I hope you do well, but this is it for me. Bye dads! 🙋
Hmmm. We showed a gadget that Tim purchased on Amazon and now we are pushing the George Foreman grill on you? We have no association with anything George Foreman nor are we partners with the TVP agenda people. This is a free channel. There is no membership to purchase like so many others have done. I am not trying to sell you on my 4 cookbooks or monthly food plan. Everything is absolutely free. I have not done Real Estate in years since I became a teacher back in 2020. From the very beginning, this channel has been about my journey to become a vegan and stay vegan. That was the purpose of the channel. To hold myself accountable. I am glad to hear that you have moved on to other people, but your are complaining about a free channel having sponsorship so they can afford to keep making content. If that is a problem, then please, go and make yourself happy. I have put out a new video every week without missing a week since 2020. That is over 4 years now. That commitment does not come easy or cheap. I have chose to have sponsors or product placement to avoid having any costs incurred by you. This is how I can continue to do this job. You may be able to work for free, but I am just not in a position to do that. Good bye, good riddance. I normally don't respond to shit like this, but to complain about a free service is just an entitlement that needs to be called out.
@@juliejohnson3807 I really like hearing about the products they love. I’ve enjoyed many products I’ve learned about from my Plant based teachers. My first air fryer and instant pot came from the recommendation of Chef AJ, and my vegetable steamer from healthy Emmie. I love and use these daily. And I was seriously wanting that George Forman grill! Dad’s please don’t stop teaching us about your gadgets, I did miss out on getting your little blender from Costco cause I waited too long.
Where in the world did you get that from? We don't have anything to do with Keto. The keto diet is high fat. We are all about higher protein, low fat, lower cals. I would never associate with Keto diet?
This reminds me of when I went grocery shopping with my keto friend (he has a Costco membership so I tagged along!) and I picked up a low-carb wrap He got so excited and asked if I was doing keto now 🤣 So for the rest of the trip every time he picked up a vegetable or fruit I asked him if he was going vegan lol
I really appreciate you two sharing your perspective on how adding more protein has been beneficial for you. Before I started trying, I was getting around 40 grams of protein in an average day on my old, regular vegan diet. I aim for 80-100 grams now and I've already noticed increased hair density and stronger nails. My nails used to chip constantly - it's a little change, but actually a nice quality of life improvement. As always, thanks for the creative meal ideas!
I use your taco recipe as a base. I keep it in the refrigerator and then use it to either make tacos, or spaghetti, or chili just adding the appropriate spices/herbs and veggies appropriate to the dish. Your gelatin only scores a 48 out of 100 on Yuka.
Thanks for all the wonderful ideas. Sometimes I mix the PB2 with my yogurt and a smige of stevia, makes it wonderful. I dip fruit in it, especially frozen bananas, but strawberries are good too.
some more great ideas, thank you. I've seen recipes lately for ice cream in the Ninja creami using the sugar free gelatin as a base, have you tried that yet? I love the simple delish, going to have to try that. Stay cool and thanks
No, I have not looked into that. I will check it out. I love that the Creami just opens up all those new possibilities for ice cream that you can make right at home. Thanks so much for being an early commenter.

You look fantastic! I’ve seen those Meatie meats at sprouts, now I’m going to try have to try them. Is it the same mushroom ingredient as in Quorn products?
I looked it up and it’s not the same, Quorn products are made with mycoprotien, another type of fungus similar to mushrooms. I used to like Quorn until I went vegan, it has egg whites in it. Can’t wait to try some Meatie❤

Thank you for breaking it all down. My husband and I are trying to lose weight while maintaining/building our muscle with plant based protein and this helps a lot. We love the Carne Asada Meati on taco's....my husband is addicted to it and we have them at least once a week. Will have to try this steak salad.
You have guns! I watched my husband working out this morning at the gym while I was on treadmill, and he did almost exact as you have here in this video , and he had the same shake as you had here, he loves the Earth Chimp Love your recipe ideas ❤🏋🏻♂️🏋🏻♀️
You are looking fantastic! I go to the gym ( it motivates me to work harder), but I do have weights and bands at home in case I can't make it to the gym. I absolutely love chocolate! I didnt know pbfit made a chocolate version. Looks like I need to get that one. I havent tried Meati products, but will have to give them a try
The steak salad looked awesome - needs a few more veggies (I'm known to put at least 5 veggies in all my salads beyond the greens - easiest way to add to your veggie variety count with very little calories). The dressing looked fantastic -- I'll have to try that.
