We started off with a tent then in 2014 nought a caravan. Many happy years with caravanning. BUT caravans are harder to store lol and generally so much more expensive. I'd recommend a swift quattro fb caravan for you. It's about 26ft tein axle which is more stable to tow. It has a fixed double at the back the central dinette can be either a big si gle or a double and the seating at the front can be 2 singles. It has a good shower room.

Yeah, unfortunately you cant really trust Amazon 100% anymore with electronics. Better off going with a local retailer. We got a Philips Neo pix prime 1 projector from Currys. It connects wirelessly to the samsung phone fine, and also has USB functionality which I haven't tried out yet.
Thanks guys for another great video 🙂 We just bought the projector solution as well for this year and if you would still like to keep a budget for another projector, you should check out the HY300 projector. There is a lot of reviews to find on youtube on this one, which seems to answer all the things mentioned in this video. And if you want to scale up, but double the price, the HY320 could also be an option to consider. About the projector screen, we got the Outwell movie screen which has a metal pole in the top and bottom to weigh it down, so that it should not move about as much the vango screen seemed to do. Was that an issue for you guys when watching movies in the tent? We have not tested our projector solution inside our tent at this point. About the shoe rack you got, I have searched for good offers for that shoe rack besides the IKEA one without any luck. Where did you guys buy it from? Hi, thank you for the comment and glad you enjoyed the video. Plus, thanks for the info ref projector, I will get Scott to check that out..lol, the one he bought was pretty useless. Screen will be OK, just need to secure it properly with Skyhooks etc to our tent. The shoe rack we got from GoOutdoors. Lightweight, compact and easy to assemble, so definitely a good buy.
@@TheHadwinsTV Thank you Janice 🙂 As for reference on the Netflix issue for Scott's projector, I found some information that Netflix is restricting more and more on to which solutions to be certified to be able to screen the app. For example if the OS on the projector in hand does not have an OS approved and certified by Netflix, you will not be able to project it. Even screen mirroring is not accepted by Netflix anymore and even HDMI cable have restriction if they are not the correct version, Netflix will not work. So to test this how to get it to work, some googling is needed and maybe a PC with the correct HDMI setup is the way to go to be able to use it through a projector? We don't use Netflix but as soon as our HY300 is in the house by the end of this week, I will for sure test our streaming apps directly from the projector before taking it camping! 🙂
Great review video! Nice to see some of the new bits. We have the outdoor revolution sofa too, but may invest in those bubble folding chairs!! Have a look at the kampa eco bin. Folds up small and accommodates a full size bin liner. Works great for us. Happy camping. ⛺️👍🏻
Great video and a lot of useful info ! Where do you store your clothes? Also what are you burning in your fire pit? The shoe storage set-up we also use for clothes!
Hi, currently we leave clothes in a suitcase, but looking at pop up wardrobes (as long as they are not too bulky). We buy the Firelogs for fire pit. Most supermarkets have their own versions of them for sale at approx £2 -3 each..
Hi, we love the Yawn air beds. Cost a bit, you have to ensure you only inflate to about 90% and lol, try and keep dogs off them. Otherwise great, we are on year 3 with them now...

I think IGoing to invest in the Vango sunbeam flexi light as I think I would prefer to a lantern, I did wonder where your outdoor revolution was as I’ve just bought one myself but yet to be delivered, I look forward to your next camping video regards steve
Hi, this was first trip with our puppy Roxy and not knowing how she would be with inflatables, we decided it would be better to take the cheaper Vango inflatable sofa. At £100 a go, we didn't want to risk it being punctured. And yes defo get the Vango light. Actually has a remote that dims and brightens. But really is a great buy. Happy camping👍
We use a pop up laundry basket as our bin only thing is it leans to the side sometimes, we did see a good bin for camping in Tesco folds down really small

Hi, no we have not seen any of those with the canisters, single hob ones but that's about it. If you do find one with a grill that uses them please let us know, as we would certainly be in the market for it...
Great video. We bought a silent night air mattress. Just to try it. I hate air beds. I found air mattress fantastic. It self inflates. It's warm and it's sooo comfy. I always get a good sleep. I'll never buy another type of camping mattress. The only down side. It's a double and packs away quite big. But I love it.
Hi, we have not looked at an air mattress yet as we have found the Yawn to be very reliable..If the dog keeps on jumping on the Yawn though, we think it could be our next move👍

Enjoyed watching your videos as we have a Vango Casa Air Lux, was amusing to see you had got a trailer as having the exact same thoughts myself, air tents are massive! I’m mulling over the idea of a used trailer tent at some point, maybe a camp-let with the full awning setup. Also made a few notes for myself for taking the tent down, might be handy: Taking down tips: - Tie up guy lines - Leave doors open at bottom to allow air to escape but zipped enough to prevent over stretching when putting up again - deflate air beams from back to front - Aim to fold to a bag shaped width (put bag at end to help with judging the fold width) - Roll up towards valve side of beams - Put tent bag over top and roll into bag
Hi, yes air tents great, but huge even when folded. Scott is just looking to buy a small trailer now and get roof bars as we have a roof box already. We found the dog took up half the boot, which was the main issue. We saw a few trailer tents this time, and they do look really solid, but we also saw one chap having a nightmare assemble it. May have been his first time? And lol, the thing with all these tents is they never have a how to pack away guide..why??
Hi, lol, think Scott feels like he deserved better, but the countryside there and the views are lovely. Definitely going back there, as when the sun was out, we really enjoyed it..hopefully next time, we will get at least 3 days of sun though🤞

I went on a camping weekend with my family who were using a ginormous inflatable tent for the first time (having declined the offer of a vango poled tent). I put up my poled tent, unpacked everything, brewed up, and still had time to sit back and watch them figuring it out which took well over an hour (feeling a little smug). Hard work, by their own admission.

Hey Hadwins we have a similar tent to you the anantara 650xl with the large studio also from attwools, we have used it once,inflating it wasn’t to bad but the pegging it down took ages, we have also said we think that a caravan is our next buy, we also have a spaniel lol, hope you have some great adventures enjoy
Hi and thank you for the comment, and so glad it is not just us that found it to be not that quick to pitch. We will probably be doing the caravan late next year. Will be making the most out of the Vango Ventanas for the next 18 months though. Great tent, lol when it is actually up and secure...
Can I ask, why a tent and not a caravan? I’m looking into both options but I don’t have a tow bar. With you using the trailer I’m worried now I’d need a tow bar either way. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi, we only chose the tent due to Scott working away a lot for the next year or so. This meant I am working more weekends, so we would have spent a lot of money on the caravan, but would not have been able to use it often. With the tent, we did it before with just a roofbox, that was the casa vango lux (poled and not air, so smaller in bag). So it can be done, it was more the dog taking up room in the car this time. No dog, we could do it with just a roofbox..
If you've never towed a 'van before, looking at 'vans over 24 feet long is ridiculous! My parents and I managed many years ago with a ten foot 'Sprite'. The space was quite tight at times, but children have to learn that the world doesn't revolve around them every moment of every day! I'm just grateful that the days of toilet tents and popping outside with torches in the early hours of the morning are long gone! Best comment made on this caravan search so far is "the kitchen's a bit plain"! FFS!
