This channel is basically a trove of things that interest me or that I wish to remember. As such, there is no real theme necessarily but some smaller themes you will notice. Cars, trucks, powersports, trips and boating, if you can't tell, are what I like best!
On 6/11/21 I changed the name from bmw325num99 simply because it is easier to say and less cryptic. Happy viewing!
I believe that percentage is very good, because I just did the test on my 2021 model 3 performance with 18,864 miles. It’s at 90% battery health and I am getting 288 miles at 100% state of charge. 😢😢😢
Great video, i just purchased a Lightning Lariat with the 98kw battery pack as a daily driver, but I need to take a rode trip from MI to VA, MS, and GA before returning home to Detroit, MI. My truck doesn’t have the moonroof either, I wondered if it would be worthwhile to document the trucks performance being that it doesn't have the extended range 131kw battery pack. If all goes well I'd probably venture to do other trips, thank you for posting this informative video. I now know to learn the navigation and charger mapping features immediately! Glad you had a great trip!😮
@@3737HH thanks, and yes I agree. On a few road trips since then when I've been desperate to save some energy I have done the same thing with smaller cars. I think it did make a small difference. Even just a cargo trailer towed by a regular car is helpful but I don't have any numbers to show how helpful or not
There used to be an abandoned Chrysler dealership in the same area that had a tiny 2 door Lebanon convertible inside for years and years. I always wondered what happened to that car.
Fwiw later model islanders at least here in NY bring $4k as a minimum. That said the issues, and having an OMC. I’d give $2k for it and swap it over to Mercruiser. The OMC has a couple advantages and a lot of disadvantages
Do you still have your Model 3 and If so what is your miles and range numbers now? I have a 2018 M3 that has just about the same miles on it as yours did a year ago and its around 280 miles at 100% Not as good but I have been looking a cell group voltage balance and they are really good. Take it easy man, Casey
I still have it and we have 157,277 miles on it. I'll have to check for the miles and range numbers because my wife drives this now as I have my Lightning. I will let you know
Man you are good! The red truck is kind of a coincidence but I did I think it was a nice coincidence. Shopping for an NC State sticker this week actually
@@jimbobhootenanny4440 if you plan on camping you have to book ahead. Also the water levels are likely drastically different than they were when I was there so there might be less beach. Bring lots of water and, ideally, shade like an easy up tent because it's hot and dry. If you plan on driving in the sand, lower your tire pressures and have a way to inflate them again when you go back on the highway. Depending on what vehicle you have you might want to go down to as low as 15 PSI or even lower if you get stuck. Also have a tow strap with a means of attaching it to both your vehicle and any rescue vehicle that could come by and help pull you out.
Bolingbrook IL Marina to Egg Harbor hotel was 7hr 10min (10:20--5:30p). We could have left the Greenfield WI charging stop sooner but I was on a phone call with someone so call it 7 hours..
Never overlook the beauty of the rain. California, after about 3 straight weeks of blue sky.......... well...... rain is life-giving! And the smells are heavenly.
It looks like you went thru Prentice on your way to Tomah. Did you know there was a 150 kw Zef unit there.? Would have saved a lot of anxiety on your way with out a side trip to Cadott. It has an 8.6 rating on PlugShare. Also, Ladysmith should have a new NEVI funded charger by next year not to mention a whole maze of County Forest Roads to roam between Hwy 53 and Hwy 27 in an area called the Blue Hills.
Yeah, I did know that, thank you. I was just trying to skip a step. I think it was roughly 20 minutes to print this out of my way and in 20 minutes back to get back on course and so I was just trying to avoid 40 minutes round trip of unnecessary driving. Turned out I cut it too close though. The princess one was on my list and it was a bit of a tough decision to just go for it. I also just could have driven a bit more conservatively
Cadott!!! While there please get someone to pronounce it for you! Say cat but drop the t and add the dot and say it without an emphasis between ca and dott. No long o… just say dot.
Did you check your speedometer with a GPS speed app? I did the same wheel swap on my Pro and my speedometer indicated about 2-3 mph off actual speed. 20" tires are larger circumference than 18" tires. Did you also relearn eset the new TPMS sensors?
That's a good way to do it actually. I did it a different way. I reset the odometer and drove on a prescribed long-distance run and then check the mileage later with Google maps. It wasnt off as much as I thought
I don't believe you. This video was probably paid for by Tesla. I read many articles. My Tesla Y. 58k miles. Battery 79%. out of 300 miles that should be. shows 272 miles after charging, but this is not true. If you type into the navigator, go somewhere far away. then it shows until the next charge 170 miles you will arrive at the battery will be 8%. This is how Tesla fooled everyone.😢😢😢
@@compasstrans 2022, 2 years only. I'm sure everything good you read or watch on the internet about Tesla is funding Tesla. Service is crap, Battery is crap. The assembly is terrible. The warranty conditions are designed for suckers. You will see Tesla going bankrupt in the near future. Because that’s not how business works. People can only be deceived once. Everyone was interested and Tesla won in this. But this won't last long. I'm currently seeking a class action lawsuit.
You do realize at highways speeds of 70-80 mph it consumes more power than rated range? This is how you don't understand that aerodynamic drag affects all vehicles not just EV's fuel efficiency. You also know that after 170 miles miles you have been driving non stop for almost 3 hours? I guess you didn't need to go to the bathroom or get something to eat, hell maybe take a walk and stretch!
@@TeslaRebuildersYou seem to have forgotten that I have owned the car for 2 years. and I know how it was when I bought it new. Please don't think that you are the only one who understands physics. In aerodynamics. I used to go to Los Angeles and charge it once. arriving with 20 percent. Now I charge 2 times and come back with 10 percent in the same way two years later. But after your explanation, I realized that the aerodynamics on the planet have changed. And now it’s hard for Tesla to overcome obstacles.
@@vivito352 No Dude now your going off Wild, NO I don't know you and you said it had 60k miles. What do you supercharge all the time? Do you charge to 100% and go below 10% often for extended periods? Hell you may even have a HV battery failure or bad cell group! There are all kinds of reasons It could be the way you see it. But you made statements that are just not true and have real world reasons for why the range is that way. Then you go to say Tesla is "Fooling everyone" I guess Every EV manufacture is doing this also then. We can have a civil discussion here if you explain what is really going on rather than just blame Tesla.....
I would absolutely recommend this bike for you, yes. They are easy to work on, easy to find parts for, electronic engine management and fuel injection, reliable and torquey 4 stroke engines, relatively light considering the abilities and technology. I am a bit of a beginner and this biked worked well for me too.
You don't need to program anything. The new sensor can be found on eBay for $25. And change it on the service for 20. And do it all in 2 days. I changed it myself and forgot about this problem. You can disassemble and change the battery in the sensor itself. I didn't bother with a Tesla dealer, even though I have a guarantee. My time is more precious. And the deposit that Tesla takes at $ 370 is not a fact that it will return. It all cost me $47 with taxes and 15 minutes to work. Decide for yourself
If the sensor(s) are the problem, sure. I Am not sure it is the wheel sensors. They changed a few of those, they also changed the TPMS module on the car and the problem continued.
Good point. However the ticket map does not allow you to buy tickets in those sections, only further downtrack to the right of the screens in my video.
It's a little more useful than that. If people are trying similar diagnostics they can see some of the things that are considered possible fixes for this issue and try them themselves. Or, stated another way, they can see that these fixes were not the solution and may consider other solutions instead rather than waste their time and money like Tesla and I did on this one. Lastly, I literally say in the title that the light won't go away so I don't know what you were expecting.
Pen and paper using the on-board computer and the SOC % display on the instrument cluster and odometer. Then I put it into Google Sheets later at home. Now that I have 35" tires the odometer/trip computer method will not work anymore because of their diameter. So, I will have to use Google maps to get mileage going forward until I go back to my stock wheels/tires in the Fall.
Was the car derivable without the heater? I got an error "Code BMS_a035" it was 50 F... and the car did not restart.. had to be towed for service and I was told it was a the PTC Heater.. of course not covered under warranty after 4 years.
Car was drivable and with the heated seats it was actually somewhat comfortable with my winter clothes on inside. I drove through some pretty cold weather with it. However in some conditions the front windshield would fog up and even an aftermarket 12 volt heater was not enough to keep it clear so I ended up getting it fixed.
@@MindofMatter Cool man good to hear it’s working great! My car is out of warranty and no way in hell im paying 500 dollars to fix it just for it just to make this same sound again at some point. Thanks for the vid!
I did the exact same thing. I put injector cleaner and octane booster in my gas tank. And all hell broke loose. Since i did this. I d k. What to do. Its backfiring and all idling rough.
Good point....I didnt ever make the connection that the injector cleaner may have caused this. Eventually, either me moving the spark plug wire away from the fuel pump cutoff sensor fixed it or maybe just driving the car cleared out the junk I loosened up the fuel system.
