My name is Elliot. This channel is a hobby of mine. On most of these recordings, it's just me on each part. And then I edit the audio, create the sheet music slides, and create a video. Some of the recordings have a cousin or friend of mine singing alto (and on one recording soprano). And some of them have my dad singing bass with me.
Except Scripture makes it plain that we will not ALL get to Heaven. Some people who are smugly convinced that they will are going to get a nasty surprise. And some people who didn't think they would will get a pleasant one.
Bruce, you always seem way too quick to form an opinion about something here. Instead, give it some additional thought before coming across as being so negative, pessimistic, or pedantic. Verse 3 - Let us then be true and faithful, trusting serving every day... That verse, to me, indicates that the writer believes that if we are NOT true, faithful, and/or serving, then we may not get to Heaven. At the very least, it indicates that the author believes there is more to "getting to Heaven" than simply singing "When we all get to Heaven". The song *does not* say "We are all going to Heaven". Instead, it's an optimistic song about "we" (Christians) getting to Heaven. And sure, many people may consider themselves Christians but still fall short of the grace of God. Most Christians understand that and don't need for it to be written in every hymn. In my limited encounters with you, I've felt like you're a bit pedantic. Pedants are notorious for being excessively focused on such minor things that they are missing a larger picture, much like the Pharisees. In this case, I feel like you're missing the intent of the song by focusing so intently on the word "all" of the song. I do not believe it means what you think it means.
How is this a hymn? It doesn't mention God or Jesus or any other religious or spiritual subject. It is a very pretty nostalgic song, but don't call it a hymn.
This is an excellent song for a funeral mass. To any believer and their loved ones a funeral should be a happy occasion. The departed’s existence has underwent the ultimate change for the better.

One of my Dad Dr.Tualchin Neihsial's favourite songs. We indeed played this song twice just the day before he left this misery world.. I miss him so much and will always do. He is a faithful servant of God. A graduate from Alpha Bible College (ABC) Shillong. He is faithful to Him and served Him until his last breath.
This has only about half of the Magnificat: My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For he hath regarded the lowliness of his handmaiden. For behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. And his mercy is on them that fear him throughout all generations. He hath shewed strength with his arm. He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their seat and hath exalted the humble and meek. He hath filled the hungry with good things. And the rich he hath sent empty away. He remembering his mercy hath holpen his servant Israel as he promised to our forefathers Abraham, and his seed forever. And the part you left out is theologically perhaps the most important--talking of God's action in history towards justice and of His fulfillment of his covenant with Abraham in Jesus.
