this is confusing because half of the experts out there say that lifters aren't bringing dumbbells down low enough, and half say you shouldn't bring the dumbbells dow low at all. Are there some scientific references we can check out that explore what is hazardous about going lower?
Incorrect, drag curls arent better than Standard curls, we currently understand that both the long and short head are biarticulate muscles and from litreture a movement where a muscle is elongating in one joint and doing the opposite on the other is not very good for hypertrophy, i had some suspicion of the drag curl cause it does look silly, we need to be careful to give these sort of advices at times cause we might be giving people the wrong advice.
Brian I could see starting with this to get my muscles warm then also finishing with it too. Would seem to be a cool beginning/end method to warm up and finish effectively. Thank you for this!
Can i do drop set in every workout? Like as biceps I'll do 4 workout today each 4 sets. Example I'll do bicep curls 4 sets then move to next one do hammer curls 4 sets then move to next. So my question is can i do drop set in every workouts last set? Like in bicep curls at the end i did a drop set then i go to hammer curls can i do a drop set at the last set and 2 more workout too
Thank you so much for this tip, this small tip has made a huge difference really appreciate the free advice! I have a question regarding the cable flyes working the lower chest, I find that I get lower back pain bringing the cables towards my chest, any advice?
Allrighty then, I've always heard some other bodybuilders if you want the end of the pool to look like a rear double bicep pose, which means your forearms and your hands are going to end up laterally to the sides of your head, but ill try it this way
@@RenshawsPersonalTraining Thank you so very much for such a quick reply. I have always done more aerobic work. Squash, cycling etc but now would like to add a little mass to my body. Thanks again you have a new subscrber
You said "contracting the muscle". Do you mean flexing the muscle making it harder while doing the exercise or moving it from A to B? And if you do, with every exercise? Thank you.
Judging by the size of your biceps, i'd say that bicep workout works! I'll have to try that version of hammer curls! I never used to care for hammer curls, only seemed to feel them in my forearms then i saw a video of someone doing crossbody hammer curls aka pinwheel curls and they really helped. My left bicep was substantially smaller than my right one but they helped bring it up. What are your thoughts on the crossbody hammer curls?
@@RenshawsPersonalTraining Brian, you have great content. With an aging population, you may want to do a series on what older people can practically do without injury.
